i just tried one... think this is called vector in asia. Its a lot bigger than my ls2 storm (large, nardo gray) sadly no white available here... thats why im getting this in white!
I just got a LS2 Challenger. Love the helmet but hate how they designed the locking mechanism on the shield. It takes both hands to open it and it's difficult with gloves on. Other than that it is a fantastic helmet.
I'm in-between the challenger and citation 2. I like the rear active vents of the challenger and has more vents, but the ece 22.06 of the citation 2. Will there be a challenger 2?
it is usually is very tricky for helmets to eliminate noise from the wind, the road and your own bike. Most helmets that do so to one degree or another rely on expensive technologies and materials, while its not the quietest helmet on the market its definitely not the loudest. If you a quiet ride is your number one priority I'd suggest looking into Schuberth. thanks for watching!
Conflicting information out there. The Vector II in the european catalogue says that it is a long oval. The US catalogue says that the Citation II is an intermediate oval. They apparently are the same helmet so which description is correct?
It's intermediate oval. The helmet does have lots of shell sizes, so i think it will be harder for online shopping. I tried an M size and it does feel bigger than usual
The Speed Addicts Team discussed the head shape of the new Citation II with LS2. Here's what they had to say. In short they claim a shape somewhere between intermediate oval and long oval. Hope this helps! "We consider the Arrow helmets and the Challenger series to be long oval helmets. The Citation II is a completely new head form and is a hybrid of or our previous intermediate and long oval head forms. Riders who like the fit of the Challenger, Arrow or Citation I will notice slightly shorter front to back dimensions, but not to a point of any discomfort. Due to this fact we consider it a middle ground in our helmet line, the intermediate oval head shape. As always, we highly recommend trying helmets on, as not all helmets fit all people the same. The description is always a starting point, and even though it says intermediate oval it may fit a longer oval head very well. All the feedback we have had so far is that the helmet is very comfortable, and the new Morph padding is great."
Hey JM - Here are Speed Addicts we never sold the original Citation / Vector so we can't comment on that guy. What we can tell you is the new Citation II is a brand new from ground up. In our testing we have not noticed a problem with chin strap location. This helmet has been well received in general, with a high sell through and low return percentage. Hope this helps and perhaps others can comment here on this question...
The ECE standard 22.06 requires more space for the Adam's apple. I have a Vector 2 XL and have no problems with the chin strap, although I am very sensitive there.
I've heard that the first version had to much wind noise in medium/high speed, can anyone who tested tell if this had been fixed in this second version?
I dont have any issue with wind noise so far, but in my experience it fogs exceedingly quickly. In stop and go traffic, I found myself just rocking with the visor slightly open
I’m sorry it this looks like the best money for a full face around town? Anyone know a better looking helmet with the features for the price And Oh yea SIX SHELL SIZES LS2 making moves huh
Hi, thank you for doing this review. The features seem great. Any chance you could demo how a sena 50s can be installed on the side as I feel that the drop down visor might obstruct its installation. All my friends in my riding group have a Sena, so installing a Cardo is not possible. Appreciate your help.
Hey There - Mounting a Sena 50c on the Citation II will not be in issue. You'll be able to attach the clip mount behind the sun shade slider. If you watch our video on the 50c you'll notice we're using a HJC RPHA 70st which also has a slider in the same location. Check out our video here - ua-cam.com/video/3kau63MVlwY/v-deo.html
I just received my Citation ii, and from you all no less 😉I've been eyeing this one for a while. I'm just curious if it can be fitted with LS2's Cardo 4x. LS2 doesn't explicitly advertise that it's compatible, but I've seen examples of it being installed in the Vector ii, and they're both FF811. Am I missing something, or is the EPS / compartment different between the two models?

@@SpeedAddictsTV thanks for the reply. That's unfortunate for us long oval heads. The Citation 1 used to be a great alternative to the more expensive options.
@Jros, the Citation II is a long oval--per LS2's own website. For some reason when you look it up as the Citation II, the "US" website doesn't speak to the shape. However when you look it up as the Vector II on the global site (not sure why they call it a different name in different countries, but it was the same with the original Citation) it clearly calls it out as a long oval. I'm going to try to post the link.
I use and am currently looking for a replacement for my Citation I as well. Been a good helmet, but I broke the top vent, and its a few years old--and as you know, there are not a lot of options for long ovals. Thank goodness for LS2.
Our staff who rides the Citation II report excellent cooling even on the hottest days out here in Souther California. That said we invite others to chime in here!
@@SpeedAddictsTV I'm new to riding and interested in this helmet. When you're riding I can see how well the ventilation works. But what if you're stagnant? Can it still vent well or will it fog up?
There is some wind noise, along with most other helmets. If noise reduction is your top priority look for a helmet with a beefy neck roll, most noise comes in through that area, hope that helps!
@@edwinwx260 well..its ok..riding naked bike. Its very well vetilated..even with all channels closed you feel air flow so maybe not the best for cold days riding. For a summer its perfect!
This helmet is so much bang for the buck. I just learned about it recently. I love how light the helmet feels too.
The Citation II is a nice option. Thanks for watching!
this in europe,is called vector 2
Thanks for watching our Euro friend
Thanks! I have been wondering if they were the same helmet!
I really like the tropical design they came out with, I plan to order one today! Thanks for this video

Hey James, yeah the Citation II is called the Vector II in Asia and Europe and is a great lid, happy riding!
No Brasil esse modelo também é chamado de Vector II (FF811).
Está correto. É bastante comum que as versões europeias dos capacetes tenham nomes diferentes.

Did they move chinstrap forward? Citation/Vector 1 is unusable due to choking from adams apple strap placement. 🍎

We recommend a snug fit and the chin curtain installed to help mitigate wind noise.
This is vector 2 right?
Thats right this would just be the name in the North American market
I might've missed it, but does it come with a pocket for those of us who wear glasses?
Yes, the LS2 Citation is eyewear compatible. LS2 makes sure to account for this on nearly every model the manufacture. Thanks for the question!
