funny how the original tofu mode was probably an unintended challenge were the model was made to test the hit box of the characters.. now they actually have to put effort into modeling the tofu. I really like how they spend efforts into paying homage to the original game.
effort? it's just an elongated cube with soft body physics and chunks sculpted in.

That doesn't mean you don't have to do anything with the lighting of the model or the texture. Not everything about game dev takes care of itself.
There is a reason why when models are extracted from games, they look quite flat. And this being a block of tofu, this really frustrates me as someone getting into game dev knowing about the process somewhat. You still have to consider texture filters as well.

FACTS, I noticed after completing the remake 2 times already, I have a BUNCH of stuff... you can never be too careful and never save too much, this is SURVIVAL HORROR.

Exactly, in my hardcore run.. I had like 5 G+R+B's left after Super Tyrant and had like 24 Magnum ammo since I never used the Magnum.. only on stage 3 G and Super Tyrant
Lol so true. I always end up finishing games with tons of ammo and health. I can never bring myself to use the best weapons, “I’ll definitely need this ammo later.” - for the entire game lol. Just totally uselessly hoarding the best ammo and struggling through.

hunk of tofu lol jokes aside. if i remember right the 4th survivor gamemode you play hunk. hunk is the code-name of a Special Agent of the Umbrella Security Service, who was the leader of the ill-fated Alpha Team in the employment of Umbrella. that is known to come back from even the most dangerous missions as in the 1% survival rate kind. tofu is modified speed run like game mode

The only flaw is that the minigun takes *FOREVER* to start firing…

A lot of games today are afraid to be too "game-y" instead of "realistic and immersive" when at the end of the day, it's a goddamn game. They did a great job with this.

No it was already part of the game If it was a brand new mode then maybe they would make it dlc. Like how they're giving us free dlc called the ghost survivors. Which I'm sure is there way of saying sorry for no extreme battle mode so here's something even better with story elements to them as well. Reason its probably dlc is because they wanted it to be good and needed more time to perfect it. I just love that a brand new mode is free.

Yeah he got really lucky here. Used his last grenade to escape X. Doesn't die from zombie ankle bite despite being in danger. Doesn't get grabbed by another zombies lunge. Game was very nice not to make him restart from the beginning haha.

I love that resident evil brought back what made games around the beginning 2000 era like you got a full story for 60bucks replayability cuz there is alternate modes for main story then extra unlockable stuff that you get for beating the game that felel rewarding or just takes the overall stress of the game and insert tofu boys

In the Konjac run (IMO the most fun one) and also possibly the others, you can shave off more time with the following:
- In the sewers, after the area with the dogs, you can run past all of the Zs before you get to the G-adults. The pattern is hard to explain but it is on other videos, it works almost every time
- In the RPD parking garage, take the same path as in this run, but shoot the first Z with the Grenade Launcher and then immediately throw a frag grenade forward. This will kill or stun the rest of the Z's
- In the RPD hallway with two Ivys, the flame thrower takes them both out simultaneously
- There's no need to shoot the dog eating the corpse at the top level of RPD main hall. Just run around it
- When you get to the waiting room, immediately throw a frag grenade at the door, it will kill all the Zs even before they open the door
- After coming down the ladder, you can just walk to the door around the Zs. There's no need to fight the lickers, the Zs on the ground and to heal afterwards
- Don't wait for Mr X at the end, just run to open the gate

Uiro-Mochi: it was decided he stay in the city, not only to destroy any evidence that remained, but because he was becoming an unstable specimin
Konjac: his bomb skills led to him blowing up the helicopter he was in, leading to a zombie retrieving him for a tasty worthwhile last meal
Flan: her ability to adapt to her surroundings despite her fear led to her being stored in one of Umbrellas' facilities in a pod for further research of her mind
Annin Tofu: the sister of Tofu, her fate was to disguise a table holding herbs, a strange fate until you consider her immense intelligence, one so large it knew the innerworking and secrets of umbrella, leading to many believing her to plot a scheme to overthrow Umbrella, her position now was strange, but to her, the best way to avoid Umbrella and to get closer to her favourite plant, herbs
Oh right, they are all experiments by Umbrella themselves, and we're sent out secretly as tests
