I bought this jig. Used it once with horrible results. Now it sits and collects dust. About to make my own juice groove jig this weekend.

Exactly! I understand the idea of being easier but it is something I regret buying

Good information now I know homemade is better.

I like your idea of "shop made." I can't think of a jig or fixture I have bought. Mobile bases for all my machinery, router jigs, you name it, I make it myself. Admittedly, mine are not perfect, but they are working fine. Great video. Thanks.

Good review. The only time to buy a jig (in my humble opinion) is if it can’t be made with percision.

I'll stick with my homemade jig. I do like the Rockler 3/4" bit for juice groove and finger grips on the ends of the board. I have a smaller bit for my trim router. I do finger grips on router table and my juice groove works with either router. Just need to change spacers.

Did Rockler yet send you a neon colored combo-Allen wrench/sawdust pick?

    $80 vs $5 ? No brainer!

That crap is $78. That will buy me plywood for more than 3 jigs.

I don't do many cutting boards. So, based on this video, I think I would pass on this jig.🙂🙂

I think it has his purpose. It’s just really not for me.

It's junk. Found all those problems first time I purchased.

I bought that jig a year ago and had horrible results, poorly made, doesn’t work at all on end grain
