loving your gopro videos mate. can you do a video on how you compile, edit and colour correct footage, from straight out the camera to finished product?

Great video I'm new to the GP life just purchased the 12. Planning to take it duving with me in Curaçao next week do you recommend using waterproof housing or is it ok to use without????
I just bought GoPro 12 and learning everything about it as I am planning trip to Maldives and would like to shoot video while snorkeling, etc. Let us know when you would release complete setup guide.
For Tip #4. I have the wrist/hand strap. Hand strap allows the use of your hands. Would you recommend? Do you have experience with this mount for scuba diving?
So for white balance you can decide how much red or blue you want in your video. When diving in the ocean I usually set it just a couple of notches on the red side. That way the colors will pop more in my video
Same question here. I would really like to watch an in depth video from you about diving with gopro. Maybe showing your workflow and how you color correct. But this question first. 😊 What is a few notches? What is the color temperature in shallow water? Do you change them when you go deeper?
@@FintasticFilms you didn't answer the question. What WB setting do you set your camera at? Its one of your tips so I am sure you know what the best WB setting is.
Do you use waterproof case with your GoPro? I'm thinking of doing some videos underwater but I'm not a diver so won't go too deep. But my friend said it is still not safe to film in salty water without a case.
Hello, I have a GoPro hero 12 I was seing this video and noticed the part where you talk about the white balance would you help me because I have been diving with red filter in blue water but non of my videos look anything like yours, what would you suggest me to do to get that popped coloris that you have.
Make sure your sharpness is on high. If you plan on editing your videos color make sure color is set to natural, but if not set it to vibrant. I always turn my white balance a few notches on the red side when diving. I know it can get confusing lol but I have a video coming out next week going into more detail
Hi, I like your videos. While shooting underwater during snorkeling, would it be a good idea to use dome? When is you complete setup guide being released?
Yep! Using a dome anytime underwater will help your video. I just released the full settings guide, which can be seen here -ua-cam.com/video/WxLdlrdpxZo/v-deo.html
Hi Ray. Great videos! Thank you for sharing. I'm going on a cruise in a few months and plan to go underwater but not deep diving. Have you created any QRCodes for your underwater settings that you could share?
I've never tried it out underwater. I would say probably not and you should try to use a different mount, but if you want to go completely hands free its an option
I'm headed to Northern NOrway to dive with Orca's in Nov. I just picked up a GoPro 12 and would love to hear your suggestions for settings when it comes to shooting in cold, dark water. I'm planning on shooting in 4k 60fps, 10-bit color enabled, but anything else for getting the best footage I can in the dark, low-light underwater conditions? Thanks!
Wondering is dji action 4 better underwater or gp12? Personally im quite concerned about the overheating issue, which, i can foresee will happen with casing underwater
I haven't tested the action 4 underwater, so I'm not sure which will be better. I haven't experienced overheating with my Hero 12 yet, so I'll go with GoPro
Great advice and vid, but it would've been very useful for you to show how to actually access and select the specific settings you suggest through the menu options 👌🏼🤿
Ray, thank you for showing us how you make your underwater masterpieces with HERO12 Black 🤌 Looking forward to your full settings guide!
I assume with my hero 7 will do same 🤣🤣🤣
Just got this for Christmas so I'll save this for my snorkeling in greece come summer!

Upgrading from the 4 I’ve been going back, and forth from 11 to 12. Looks like 12 for the win!!!
I will use the Hero 12 BLACK in the Maldives! Thank you sir!
Does using the max lens mod 2.0 make the video’s edges blurry when underwater?
I haven't had there chance to test the max lens underwater yet, so I can't definitively say. My guess would be that it does
Thanks so much for making this video!
Thanks! Have GP10... looking at possibly upgrading...
Thanks for the tips. I just got the GP 12 for Christmas and trying to learn how to use it. This is my 1st GP.
I got one too and I still have my Hero 8 from July 2020
Thanks for this. Been using a Paralenz for years and now need something else since they're no longer being made.
Awesome video mate, thanks for the tips!
I'm glad it helped!

Thank you I'm planning to buy hero 12 1st time to buy.. thanks for the tips
Thank you so much for this very interesting video 👌
Where did you do the hammerhead dive and who did you book with? I’m looking to go next year.
It was in Bimini, Bahamas with Neil Watsons Scuba Center

Good man! Thanks for very good review! Guys few example Sd cards for go pro 12?
Do you use hdr underwater? I just got the 12 so my first go pro and didn't see you mention that.
I would recommend hdr underwater whenever you can use it

Hi Ray…brand new GoPro user and I had a question about your Tip #5, film in slow motion. What settings do you use to get this?
For slow motion it's all about FPS. I go with either 60 or 120 fps for slow motion

"Adjust your white balance"....can you give some direction on how to do this?
thank you
Definitely gonna use the GoPro 12 in Lefkada, Greece. Best beaches in Europe with beautiful blue shades.
Thx for the video!
With dive filters on, can i still edit my videos? Or its only possible with dive filters of?
Yes, you can still edit videos with a dive filter. It's just easier to correct white balance when the color is completely natural
Is it suitable for underwater still photo??
The Hero 12 can actually take some really good underwater photos. Let me know if you need any settings advice!
