I've been checking out lots of drawers systems for DIY purposes. After a year of watching videos, I can easily tell that you're designs are the best. Thank you for sharing.
That drawer slide support for the piano hinged cooking surface is very smart! I went over that exact problem in my brain hundreds of times when building my setup and I wish I came up with that idea. Great job!
Hey! That 4Runner looks familiar! Thank you again for the awesome build, Brian! I'm really happy with the way it turned out and I have received a ton of compliments on it. Awesome work as always!
@@MaxSualkin Yes but I'll probably end up using it more as a food prep surface and use a separate table for the stove due to the propane canister needing a place to sit.
I started making this same type of build for my 4Runner. When I started work on it, I considered the ramifications if someone rear-ended me/my family in it. With so many distracted drivers today that’s a very real possibility. Even a moderate rear-ending could catapult that rigid structure into the backs of the front seat occupants. This may cause death or paralyzing. I couldn’t live with that risk myself. So, I modified my design to be collapsible in the event of a rear-ending accident by 2-3 feet. I’m surprised so many builds do not plan around this potential. Has no one else designed a collapsible version? Maybe I should make a video on my design that I’m building now.
Great work looks good, how about bolting the stove upside down to table than when you open the lid the stove comes with it an no more fiddling to get stove out?
I like your work really nice. I build stuff on the weekend here San Gabriel Valley for fun. One thing my wife grandpa who was a cabinet make showed me that really finishes of the cabinets use the router to bullnose/round over all the sharp edges/corners that little touch will really impresses the customers when they bump against them, they will thank you later.
How do you secure the platforms/drawers down? Trying to start a build soon and it’d be great if you maybe show how you go about securing/where depending on the vehicle.
Hey Brian how are you this is Fernando from Los Angeles California I just like to say I love you show you give me a Lotta good ideas I am building my my truck a lot of spaces for my tools I do construction and believe me I relate to this so simple and nice on all the the the furniture’s just congratulations man keep doing that thank you
How did you bolt the sleeping platform section to the 4runner? I don’t see any exposed bolt heads and it doesn’t go over the factory bolt holes for the rear seat
This guy seems like a pretty cool guy, seems honest too. I wonder if he has any ideas for other suvs other than Toyota? I have a 2002 Mercedes ml500 suv and I already pulled the back seats. Its just a different area to work with because it steps down on the frame. So if you get a chance to look a one of suvs and have some ideas please let me know.
Thanks for this Awesome video content. I have 4Runner I'm looking into adding almost the same setup but not that intricate as what you have built for this 4Runner.👊😎👍
Have you ever done something to a Toyota Sequoia? Like I would love to add solar & LED & just about this same set up done to mine with a added camp kitchen to the back & Awning to the side..🤔..This would be amazing 👏
Well done. I like it, a lot. I may do something similar in my land cruiser. Could you put the drawers all the way forward to the front seats? I have that same stove. I think I would mount the stove permanently to a slide out shelf pretty much where you have it but a bit lower with room for a small bottle of propane. And maybe permanently fix the lid over the stove as another horizontal area close to the action.
Very inspiring your chanel! I d like to know about where and why to place that „coffee-mechanic“ exactly? i def will work with that in my van too. thx for sharing knowledge and concepts! stay well and happy thou.
I commented on another video of yours and continuing on this one. See like in this video, you have one locking slide on the left and none locking on the right of each drawer.
I love this!! Your work is very neat too. Any chance I can work with you and learn more woodworking skills while at it??? I want to do a build in my '17 Suburban. Have you done anything like this for a newer Suburban? I built a temp deck/bed for my last 2004 Suburban but now realizing I need to do more modifications to this newer rig before I can even start on a build.
Hi again buddy, could you please tell us what kind of paint you use on the wood because all the paint has smell specially inside the car and it’s always close . Thanks buddy
That is such a good idea and the workmanship is so good. I think I’ll build one for the back of my CRV Just the size of my back area. It would save so much room for my work tools. Now mine will not look anything like that I most certainly do not have the skills to do it like this.
Thanks for the interest. Unfortunately I dont do any custom builds like this anymore. But on my website you can find my basic drawer systems for sale. www.solidwoodworx.com
Hi Brian, been watching your vids and you do really nice work. Would you show how exactly you build a drawer? Specifically, like how do you connect the sides together and to the bottom. Your drawers look super tight and was just wondering about your technique. Have a great day!
Fellow wood worker here. I really appreciate the craftsmanship. Wishing you as much success as you can handle.

Man I’ve been pondering if I can replace my 1/2 ton short box with a gen4 4Runner to fit my cabinet installer tool kit.
This is encouraging.

Hey! That 4Runner looks familiar! Thank you again for the awesome build, Brian! I'm really happy with the way it turned out and I have received a ton of compliments on it. Awesome work as always!
Is the stove platform sturdy enough with two pots full of things on it?
@@MaxSualkin Yes but I'll probably end up using it more as a food prep surface and use a separate table for the stove due to the propane canister needing a place to sit.
What did a build like that cost?
Nice work. How much was this build?
gerard five please tell price !
I keep coming back to this build because it’s perfect! Rad design man
You're ALWAYS a ⭐ STAR when it comes to BUILDING SOMETHING'S !!! THANKS 👍 👌 !!!
That’s a really good idea for the stove 👍🏻 good work
That stove flip up is awesome. Great idea for that thin pullout support.
My head is bursting with ideas after watching this 💡 the removable dividers are such a good idea!
Builds keep getting better and better

Bryan just installed his standard system in my gen 4 and I love it. Thanks dude!!!
Great work looks good, how about bolting the stove upside down to table than when you open the lid the stove comes with it an no more fiddling to get stove out?

Why would anyone give thumbs down.. that’s freaking awesome 👏
You did a great job, nice setup. The 4 Runner is next on my list , I’ll hit you up lol .
Can you do one for a 2009-2013 Subaru Forester please and thank you !?!?! I’ll buy a blueprint too !!! Pretty please ! Love your builds !!
I definitely want to do this when I get my 4runner!!!
Idea overload... true craftsman! Cheers mate!!

I REALLY REALLY need this in my life! Please don't forget about me when you are back to doing custom installs again! please!

Bro, you are sick with wood!!!

I LOVE the pop up table cover for the drawers. And removable dividers ! 🎯 Brilliant.
Sorry , would very much like to see if it works. Thanks for the post
Wood you be able to pull a drawer and show how its mounted to the floor?
I dont have this vehicle anymore but you can watch this video on how my dual drawer system gets mounted. ua-cam.com/video/RsRciyGJcUk/v-deo.html

Real nice work.
Very nice job.
So minimalist setup and two great ideas I never saw before! 👍
Man that’s quality and tidy work
So sick dude!!
Wow awesome. I just stumbled onto this and I happen to be in Huntington Beach!
Great setup!
Genius! Very special build!
Love the table top/extra platform. Details and movable slats on point
Nice job bro. I'm planning to make one for my Honda Oddessy
Beautiful work buddy.
More modular magic you've performed. Nice! Stay safe & well.
good job
Is there a clip for how to implement it
Great work again and again 👏
Beautiful work!! I the custom ideas that you have. Totally what I've been looking for. Awesome!!!

I have built a drawer system but never electrical before.
Also might want to add drop down adjustable support legs once the rear drawers are pulled out
The slides can hold up to 500lbs and are bolted to the vehicle

Yes you could do longer drawers, would just need to support them in a way more towards the front area.
Beautifully done!
Great work.
Very nice work. Are you ever going to make videos of the process?
Hopefully
Looks great 👍 you do brilliant work 😎
an effective solution for the 4runner, cheerio
Is the stove table stable? Seems it might not hold with water in a pan?

Luan
how much weight can that coffee table hinge hold? thanks
The drawer slides can hold around 200. As for the table hinge im not sure to be honest. It was designed to have food or things your prepping up there.
Awesome set up. I would love something similar for my 17 Honda Pilot.
Good work.
Great job.
How much does this cost just an estimate if you just want it to stop behind the back seat? Neat work 👍🏾

Beautiful job! Are you able to build one with half of the seats removed and the remaining ones in place?
I have never done that.
This is really neat. Would you build something similar for my OB?
