u r right whenever i eat onion, bun, cheeze or popcorn it got so much worse that i even faint. i have gone through so many checkups what should i do. i did typhoided, hpyroli as doc suggested but it came negative.....
Edit: after so many drug intakes dolgina 60 mg 10 tablets before breakfast and dinner, helped me relieve pain and podina syrup after every meal reduce acidity. Lastly itpod 150 mg and colief [mebeverine hcl] helped me with bloating and flatulence.
Whoever is having Gerd or problem like mine it is 100% stomach related and don't eat too much meat.
I finally got an intelligent doctor ☺

Have not be following it very well, so I still have major issues with bloating & gas. Seeing you guys is just what I need! Thank you so much. I will always go onto Bob & Brad videos because they know what they are talking about. Extremely knowledge. They give us this information out of the goodness of their hearts. They are the best!!!!! Also so nice to listen to as well.

I have messed myself in the last few month and my intestines have just burst to swolen mess, gass and all the above mentioned...What did me in I really believe was onion, garlic, apples and too many damn beans...and they say beans are good for you! not for everyone..it is so individual. I would eat even raw onions and that was ouch.....so I did started fodmap 2 weeks ago...and you know what healed me....potatoes....every day...and rice...and I stoped all dairy, apples..intorduced new fruits...stopped dry fruits...oh so many changes..I am going to keep up and feel better and better...I really miss dairy .....but it is not worth it a mess...thank you for video...those lists of foods were so helpful Mike...cheers...Jana

Been doing low FODMAP for over 2 years. It’s amazing and has helped me out a lot. It’s funny how in the reintroduction of high FODMAP foods, we all are different and some will work while others don’t (onion messes me up while garlic doesn’t) but I highly recommend it

Very good topic gentlemen~ as my husband & I are fond of reminding each other~ "Say it out loud"~ it's how we learn, grow more comfortable, increase our longevity & health in general. We also eat keto/carnivore & it is- by far - the most satisfying, easy to manage & healthful lifestyle for us. I also love to cook/bake & create different dishes, so this makes it more interesting w/a limited food group way of eating. Love it. =)

I was having such issues with my stomach and stumbled upon FODMAP a few years ago. Followed the diet religiously and felt immensely better within just a couple of days. Like a new person! I couldn’t believe how good I felt!
I was committed to the diet for about 6 months and lost 20 lbs without even trying. I did weigh my food in grams and I believe that contributed to the weight loss. Seems that overeating made my symptoms worse.
And, you’re so right about the stress and anxiety. These exacerbate the symptoms! Being around others and worrying if you’ll accidentally pass gas, or if your stomach is going to make weird noises is awful torture.
My stomach has been bothering me so much again, so I’m going back low FODMAP.
Lots of good info in this video 👏🏻

@@bridgetjones5695 - always salt your food with sea-salt, or salt with minerals (celtic, sea, pink himalayan etc).
--- always make sure your gut acid is plentiful. i dont know how to do that but just make sure you eat sea-salt with every meal or take 6th of tspn once a day. Good to have= warm butter, ghee butter (buyteric-acid).
Vit c(ascorbic-acid). Apple-cider vinegar, betaine from beets, pepsin to break down proteins.
You can use all of them or even one, sea-salts the easiest one to get.
Enzymes from fruits, veggys or raw foods in general, these things have high amounts of enzymes, especially pineapple, ginger and pappaya. if you cannot get them than try the supplements like papaya enzymes, pancreatin, bromelain, serrapeptase, etc. and eat them after or before a meal.
if you're taking pharmaceuticals that cause constipation(no saliva production in mouth, throat, stomach, intestines etc), make sure to time your dose, take the enzymes or salt 10 minutes after your meds kick in, anytime before that your supplements are wasted in trying to get the saliva back on, you must take them after your meds kick in especially anti-depressants, anti-biotics and opiates. Once saliva production is up and running, your intestines will have the saliva flowing through again which makes digestion normal again.
Digestive herbal teas(saliva production), are also great to use, you can use both or one, but the timing matters here.
Good digestive teas, fennel, bay leaf, ginger, there are lots more.
Have probiotics in the gut always, yogurt, kefir,or other fermented items are important in helping vitamins, minerals or nutrients absorb an pass.
magnesium, no more than 1500 mgs a day.
Have average amount of fiber in the diet.

@@bridgetjones5695 pharmaceuticals like painkillers, anti-depressants etc. shut the lever off to the saliva faucet. Then the ditch and water slides(intestines) start to drain, dry up or constipate and evaporate...this is what happens when u take something that constipates. To turn the faucet to saliva production back on you must wait until the meds fully kick in before you take the digestive-aid such as papaya chewables or other enzymes or digestive tea's. The faucet of water then turns back on and lathers up the intestines well and you will pass waste normally again. Long term use of Anti-depressants will cause alheimers too, so coconut (vco)is good for this. Long time use of painkillers and other pharmaceuticals will erode the liver and kidneys, so use dandelion and milk thistle sometimes or eat onions, apples, ginger, beets etc.

Amen.amen.amen. god bless you all. The doctor told me the i.b.s..thing is lifetime. I told him. It is unless you get to the root of the problem. Have a home style veggie drink for the day to take after we can eat anything we want. Also it should be cured in 4 months. No more i.b.s. but the doctors want to keep the patients returning for check ups. Its only business. Looking for money. Doctors dont have health issues. They wont tell what they eat to stay healthy. Us poor people cant afford organic foods. Food is geeting more expensive. Cant eat at our favorite home cooked resturant but once a month. And once a month at whataburger no.2 combo. It cost 18.00 dollars for us. My husband hasnt worked in 3 yrs. He is a painter. Nobody here in this is hireing. Contracted or hourly. My socisl security pays rent lights. Car payment ins. Laundry. Renters ins. Items we cant eat. Gas. Hair cuts is 40.00. We have 300.00 monthly to live on for groceries. We dont eat processed foods. Eat can goods. No meat til we eat out. Some potatoes and onions for beans. Oh . my husband dont believe in doctors. He has a doctor in his family. He told him the truth. Doctors is looking for repeat business. We are. 75 yrs. Old. And 3 yrs. He just got a peptic ulcer. So the only way he can get rid of it is surgery. He refuses. My problem is on going. I.b.s. unless a gut doctor can do whats right to heal our problems. They know about science. I believe in science. Oh bob and brad. You talk to fast. I cant understand half of what you say. The volume needs to turn up to. Thank you.

We do tend to offset some of the sugar alcohols w/Pepto occasionally- if we go overboard on plant sweeteners. Berries are good, especially w/homemade whipped cream. You kind of have to find your own way, what works.

My story sounds a lot like Bob's. My symptoms started appearing a few months ago, first when I ate anything with gluten, but then I had to stop drinking coffee and eliminate almost all dairy too. I've been on the low FODMaP diet for a few weeks and it has helped a lot but I do have issues with some of the low FODMaP foods as well, so it's been trial and error. But it does give your gut time to heal and starve some of the bad gut bacteria. I'm now starting digestive enzymes with my meals and if that goes well I will add probiotics. Thanks for the video!

Blueberries are great! Low fodmap and eat them every morning.

Or lets say you can have 2tbsp of chia and 2 tbsp of coconut and 1 tbsp of pumpkin seeds, can you put those all together as a cereal or is that going to add up to too high FODMAPS? This part is very confusing to me and I’m hoping someone who’s been on this with success can help me get started. Thanks so much for this video!

It’s funny you mention keto, because I was on a big weight loss program 10 years ago and I was trying to eat more fruits and vegetables, I was so bloated, gassy and I got terrible cystic acne and dry skin. I was eating low fat and avoiding meat (tried being vegan when that was trendy). Overheard a girl on the train talking with her friend about how she effortlessly lost weight on keto so I decided to give it a try… I had leaned down a lot at that point but I had a huge stomach like I was pregnant… and after a few days of keto my stomach was flat, no gas, I was finally pooping regularly, my skin became 100% clear, and wasn’t hungry or craving food all the time. Strict keto was a bit unsustainable so I only did it for a month, but switched to higher fat and protein diet, and lost interest in most fruits. Turns out I’m allergic to stone fruits anyways (I get hives). I thought I had a problem with dairy and eggs but I realized it was only when I had them in combination with something sugary, otherwise totally fine. I 100% cannot have any beans, or I’m farting bombs all day and night. My boyfriend is trying low fodmap and I’m seeing an interesting correlation with what I experienced, but he doesn’t believe me when I encourage him to pick fattier foods haha.

Hi Bob and Mike, I have irritable bowel syndrome and doing the entire FODMAP diet is according to my doctor (who is a specialist in the hospital) a bit outdated. It is a very strict diet and might lead to some people not eating enough nutrients and calories which can be dangerous. For example like Bob mentioned people need fiber and vitamins from fruits and vegetables. Also people should never try it on their own but always under the supervision of a specialist medical doctor. Much better is to see if certain specific foods cause bloating and pain. Maybe this App helps with this. In my case i experienced a lot of pain and bloating, no gass. It turned out that dairy products were problematic for me and since deleting those frome my diet and replacing them with plant based milks etc things are much better. Also skipping very fat fryed food helps and reducing stress. In general I eat a whole foods plantbased diet with lots of carbs and this makes me feel healthy. All the best to you and thanks for the video.

FODMAP sensitivity is not an all or nothing project, it's more a question of quanitity and frequency. SO for example, if you eat a small enough serving, blueberries are low fodmap, but more than a certain amount, they become high fodmap. It's really helpful to work with someone, as there are some nuances to using the diet properly.

Based on my own research and my symptoms, I have just started a FODMAP diet - I have heard that you can actually feel worse at first, from detoxing. Once I have the testing, lactoluse, etc. I can get to the bottom of how else to treat this because my symptoms are getting more bothersome.
