- A video of some scouting I did for hogs on the ALCOA game land in Davie County, NC. Game Land is located off Point Drive, in Mocksville, NC. Best area I've seen yet. Solid work! Thanks for sharing. Have been around some of the private land on the point and as exactly you said, if it leads to water, you have hog sign. Heading down there tomorrow, have a sidearm just for the little buggers

If it wasn't for your statement at 14:36 I would have thought the sign was all from nocturnal use, not much good during normal hunting hours, Area Does Have Possibilities, still not easy due to so much water available .

I can give you OnX Pins to spots on public land down here in near Currie Elizabeth town. Closer and I harvest them all the time.

Greg Broadaway I’ve heard of pigs being seen at that one too. I just haven’t had a chance to get out there. I’ll be going soon.

Casville. Shooting range on the other side of it is a dirt road going up the hill take that road and go towards the river I’ve seen some hog trails. Send me location of that place....

hey correction , i actually contacted n.c. game office today and they said you can hunt boar at anytime all year. there doesnt have to be a current season going as per there office today.
persever but not on public game land. On private land you can hunt them 24/7/365
just got off the phone with n.c. gameland to make sure and they said as long as it not on a sunday there you can hunt feral hogs yer round fron sun up to sunset. 888 248 6834..getting out there tomorrow
Whoever you talked to is wrong. The rules state only during open season of another game animal when on public gameland.
Whoever you spoke to is definitely wrong. It is a 6 day a week land but there has to be an open season and you can only use the weapon allowed for that game. I just spoke to someone at that same number and they confirmed this.
From one-half hour before sunrise until one-half hour after
sunset, properly licensed hunters may take feral swine on game lands during the open season for any game animal using any legal manner of take allowed during those open game seasons. Dogs may be used for hunting feral swine only on those game lands where the use of dogs is allowed for hunting deer or bear and only during the open applicable deer or bear season.
