Usually before I even start dropping the tank I will line the fuel tank up with a couple Jack's to assist with the weight of the tank while coming down . It Make things much easier... You did a good job as well
When removing the tank straps remove the middle steap bolts first then the outer strap bolts evenly so that youre lowering the tank level and the.n you can actually use a 1 & 1/4" strap run theought the plastic handles of the tank and loop the strap around the frame next to the tank on the river side. Q flior jack and a 4' puece of lumber that is 2 x 6 or 2 x 8 long. Place it on the floor jack and use it to lower the tank.
George, Thanks for the details. I did some improvements when lowering the tank. 1) First thing was to run the full gas tank to about 250 mi, I know that will leave about 1/4 tank full. 2) Then I remove center strap, then place a floor jack with a 2x4 on top and hold middle of the tank in place. 3) Then remove top and bottom straps keeping the tank level on top of the jack. 4) Place floor dollies on top and bottom to lay tank on top and makes it easier to move. Hope this helps.... :)
These a set of hose pliers that are curved and comes in a set of 3 ot 5. They can be bought an an auto parts store or harbor freight. Using the largest curved plier set you begin to turn the hose gentle and it will break free from the metal line leading into the hose from the tank. You dont need to remove the entire hose lime he does. But if you want a luttle more wiggle room you can remive the entire hose.
There's a special set of metric fuel line disconnect adapters you can buy at your local auto parts store . There's. Cheap set made out of white or black plastic that will cost 20.00-30.00 on average. The same set can be bought at harbor freight and are made out of aluminum. They run about the same price as at the auto parts store.
Brother, suggestion for safety i would have disconnected the battery before starting the process to prevent any kinda spark from any of those connectors, stranger things hav happen,an always ones safety first!
Doing this right now. Gotta be careful with the strap bolts, my center one snapped. The holes in some places you can snake a wd40 straw into and take your time working back and forth if you don't have impact tools and just hand tools

@@mikes8989 damn bro sorry. Yeah this wasn't a fun job for me either.
Worked out thanks now if I can find a video on testing the fuel pump relay on a 2011 Buick enclave I'll be closer to fixing it.
Theres tools to cut sheet metal.. i took out my rear seats.. on a equinox..dont know why chevy left these without access panels to the pump
lol for reals
Hello George, is this necessary to replace the fuel tank pressure sensor
No, its not necessary
You know what
I will make an opening in the body behind the driver seat to avoid that complex steps .. that will be more easy to access the pump
Lmfao 🤣
nice video bro
Thank you
Thank you bro
Just think how much more fun it's going to be to re-install the tank. Recommend removing most of the fuel first.
Yeah, unfortunately, the fuel pump stopped working with a full tank. 😬
How long did this whole process take you from start to finish?
A few hours is best if the tank is empty.....I found the pump online for 120 bucks, used but in good condition
Is this very similar to a 2013 chevy captiva?
I'm not sure it's a different body style
My friend , the GMC Acadia is same the steps ?
Yes I believe it should be a similar process. Maybe just a couple of differences but same procedure. Thank you for your SUPPORT! Good luck buddy!

Where is the fuel filter located
Chevrolet implements a fuel filter inside the fuel pump, and it is meant to last for the life of the vehicle.
It’s this the only way to change this gosh
Unfortunately yeah got to drop the tank
