Finally, someone that understands the differences between part time 4WD, AWD, and full time 4WD. Subbed.
good afternoon ! so what about Sequoia? there part-time? ( new)
@@jbrnd0079 Yeah it's part-time. The old sequioa had sort of hybrid between the two. Where you had the same torsen center, lockable diff. As well as a RWD setting
My portfolio has grown tremendously all thanks to my trading manager for the help ,
What about the ability to lock the diff on a AWD, is that 4WD? lol
Hello !
Which one is excellent lx570 2021 or lx600 2022 ?
Literally one of the top best large SUV money can buy.
The LX600 is definitely on my short list to replace my aging Land Cruiser 200. I most definitely will be ordering it with the 18" wheels as I will most likely off-road the vehicle the day I buy it. I don't hard core rock crawl but definitely drive rutted fire roads, dirt roads, and long corrugated gravel roads.
You’d have to drop that front grill lol. That thing looks like it’ll pick up speed bumps 😆
Instead, buy a new sequoia Ltd with trd and put a lift and real offroad tires on it. Beats this Lexus. Only thing missing is full time 4wd. Not a biggie if your offroad anyways.
Things is, lack of full time 4WD, that huge hump in the cargo area, no tow hooks, terrible approach angles, and difficult to remove 3rd row takes the Sequoia completely off my list.
@@stonepa agree! what the hell is that 3rd row in the cargo area?
yeah if you saw the pick-up truck plus SUV talk video about where the recovery points are, there is one in the LX600 underneath the video under the left side. it's weird that Toyota cheaped out on this generation of their full-size SUVs considering all of their predecessors had 2 in the front (and one in the back for land cruiser and LX). im guessing the 300 series only has one tow hook on the other side where the LX doesn't have it. but hey, one tow hook beats none at all or else land cruiser sales would drop considerably without that single tow hook.
Hey this was a terrific video on the driving impression of the LX 600. Honestly, not a lot of reviewers give it the time and basically walk around it with the Lexus specs and typical mouthpiece language. Kudos to a true test of its features both on and off road. Looking forward to seeing this with all-terrains!
If Toyota ever offers a real off-road package for this vehicle, please consider doing another review of it. I'm sure we'd all love to see what she's really capable of.
They do..its call GR variant..similar like TRD
Ohh The BIG Boi!!! This'll be FANCY!!! Let's get to watchin'
Thank You, Ryan for continuing to take vehicles off-road. In order to show what they can, or cannot do..
I’m waiting for this guy in five years. This thing lasted forevermore…😀👍
I love Lexus LX
King 👑
All body on frame SUV especially Toyota and Lexus should come with 18 inch rims with all terrain tires as options!
Actually Lexus did on the Premium & Luxury trim
GX460 comes with 18" wheels in the Premium version... off the lot it's great offroad... then you can swap all terrain tires on the stock rims... this LX600 also comes with an 18" wheel version too
There is an off-road variant of the LX600 … but it’s only sold in Japan
@@BaconCruiser I mean ppl in here build ours own off-road LX, but it will be way better to come with factory off-road options
@@suewang9210 then it’ll be a niche… Lexus knows that these things will only go over speed bumps as off-road exercise, so they didn’t even bother. Do u think Mercedes cares about taking G550 off-road? Same thing
Another solid review Ryan!
Love the design. Looks incredible!
Another solid review Ryan! Toyota really nailed it with this new Lexus here. Massive improvement over the outgoing model for sure.
best reviewer i have found on youtube. thank you Driving sport Tv.
AMAZING man! Watching you in that mud had me holding me breath especially with the big heavy vehicle!
I have all-wheel drive and it never would have been able to do this. The difference in having 4-wheel drive makes all the difference and I can see why and how that could be handy especially if you encounter rugged muddy situations. Great review!
If they had an off road version of this with 17 inch wheels and some KO2s I would definitely buy it and take it off road. I'm so disappointed that the land cruiser is no longer being exported to the States.
Why did Lexus not include a large panoramic sunroof in the new LX 600?
The competition has is!
This is the review I’ve been waiting for :)
ive been waiting on this offroad test
Another awesome review on new LX doing some off-roading , I think you should do another video this time with All terrain tyres and off road
GREAT video! For some reason I like the Land Cruiser dash better: that split screen reminds me of dated Infinity interiors (even Infinity is moving away from them :P). In any case, the rest of the interior does look impressive. LX600 and Land Cruiser are amazing machines.
Excellent work and explanation.Thanks 👌
Thanks for the off-road demonstration.
We both have the same nervous "I'm in a predicament" laugh.
It’s already been a totally awesome 1st year at your off road course
Good video. Missed the side shot where you film in slow motion showing the vehicle find grip from a stop. That"s one of the reasons I enjoy your reviews.
Excellent that your are testing the 4x4 that Lexus offers, at 105000$ your the guy great content has always.
I kinda dig the previous generation infotainment system. It is old yet somehow classy.
Great review as always Ryan & team. It does seem like the new platform is a bit more tightly packaged so like you said bigger people may not find it very comfortable. But no denying it’s performance and offroad chops (given a proper set of tires).
It kills us to see these arrive with 22s and street tires.
@@drivingsports That essentially sums up the difference between Lexus and Land Cruiser buyers. As an original owner of an LC200 from new I respect the LX600 capacity yet have no attraction to the LX600 style. Would pay the same for a LC300. To avoid the 22’s and other Housewives of Long Island style cues.
@@DD-dj4jr what’s sad is that this car, if you can get it for MSRP, is about the same as a used lc200. It’s no brainer, just get this and change out the wheels and tires
Good review. Thank you.
Thanks God I will buy one for myself
Amazing review!
Finally a good review of this car.
Great Review
BEST Suv ever
honestly the coarse is perfect and real rugged
The designers placing the engine start/stop button where an audio power button would be, is awful.
14:28 is that who I think it is aka nick doing the driving for this shot. That’s awesome
Thanks for doing this for me nick. It makes me happy love you.
nice see that crawl control feature so quite now!
Best review of this car
Nice review
Thank you so much 🥰🥰🥰
I think I’ll wait to see the 2023 before considering a purchase.
I remember a year ago when you reviewed the Lexus LX - you absolutely tore apart the remote-controlled screens in the back seat. I was laughing my ass off!
There's a package that gives you 18 inch wheels and blacked out grill and chrome accents.
Love it!
Does it come with the all terrains..??
@@ArnoldTriyudho
Yes
it comes with Toyo open country A/T III
Looking great! That cramped feeling is to holds occupants from bumping into side panels etc when offloading, LC ,Montero etc are all the same on this 👍 Just feeling jealous so we don't have it in Lexus body in UK..
We are jealous that you can buy the 3 door Land Cruiser Prado in the UK.
That thing is beautiful
Looks nice 👍
fun. Thank you
Poor LC300 getting let down by the ridiculous 22" wheels:(
Looks very nice and has a ton of features. Not surprised that the wheels and tires ruined its off roading capabilities. Lexus really should just go ahead and create a more off road version so people can get those items from the factory.
I think they have a version of the LX600 with 18" wheels and tires for this purpose
I think the f sport is the only one with MTS/crawl control.
I could be wrong though
@@davidcook3101 That's interesting. The F-Sport would def not have good tires that can use crawl control.
@@davidcook3101 yes you are wrong. MTS and CRAWL are standard on every trim.
Could you please start showing the door sticker so we can see the maximum payload and towing numbers? It would also be helpful to measure the cargo area length, width, height too.
That grill! Oy. Be interesting when the aftermarket changes that out. Do miss the old rear seat bottom fold forward and seat back folding flat. MB did it so well with the original 300TD and even the Peugeot 505SW. The LX's rear is well done.
🌟🌟🌟🌟 love it! Lx600F! Take me to hell and back.
You'll get stuck in the mud on the way there.
@@galactictomato1434 I'd put ko2 on. Those street tires ain't going to make it but to fancy mall
For that price, each seat should have its own entertainment screen
Looks cool
Waoo luxurious lexus
Hey Ryan! Do the Range Rover Sport for your next review! Love the videos keep it up!
Beautiful. Phenomenal. Spectacular. Just not from the third row 😀
Where did u took the video, so beautiful, nice videos. Thanks
West and east sides of the Cascade mountains in Washington State.
22 inch wheels, off-road capability? Now I can stop thinking about Land Cruiser!!
105k us money absolutely nuts!!!
Im not driving my Lexus Offroad, thats what the 4runner is for. Wifes Lexus for road trips, 4runner for the great outdoor adventures. Those airbags on the Lexus aint cheap either as they do eventually go out. Im not beating up the Lexus like i do with the 4runner with is more solid built for off-road purposes.
Very nice 👍 Lexus
I like the look of my 2017 better on the outside. I prefer the legendary V8 in my 2017 as well, even though gas mileage is bad. I do like the 3rd row disappearing into the body of the vehicle! I prefer rear hvac in the arm rest though. 3rd rows are meant for adults. However, albeit the 3rd row feature, I don't see any reason to upgrade. Infotainment system seems even worse. Lexus needs to have an American to do their operating systems on infotainment or perhaps outsource to Sony to work on user interface. Americans produce the best software and all other countries do a terrible job.
Them tires looked like they had 20k miles on them, no wonder they were no good in the mud. Dry conditions would probably be a different story but hey, Spring is here and mud season is soon to follow.
That mud was right conditions to try an off road truck like the new GM twin's. ZR2 or ATX4
There is something about crawl mode most drivers ignore, you need to leave it TAKES ITS TIME, it can’t fully work in couple seconds
It is sad they couldn't give you the offroad version of the LX. Especially since they know you are going to take it offroad!!
unfortunately not everybody can afford the LX let alone taking a 100k vehicle into the wilderness.
@@Baebon6259 So what? The people buying this vehicle can afford it, so your comment is irrelevant.
@@galactictomato1434 Not really
Definitely needs some all terrain tires on there.
This car is for me, it looks so good with the 22 inch tires but with off-road capabilities, Lexus is making cars for me, if only I had the money.
My 2013 RX has split screen, map on the left and media on the right.
Well, I love everything about this car, except that with the 22 inch wheel, it's really hard to find All Terrine, or even snow tires, for these wheels.
I subscribed
I feel like the Sequoia would be a good alternative for a lower price. The only downside is the part time 4 WD system. However, that could help the overall gas efficiency. The TRD pro of the Sequoia looks great.
Plus Sequoia is hybrid
Yep. When they give the Sequoia AWD and front tow hooks, I’m getting one. This Lexus is a joke. He could have done better in a Telluride with off road tires.
@@ZenEndurance The reviewer is reviewing the capabilities of this car for those interested. The audience is for those interested not a competitive nation of selecting the best vehicle for his test.
The car was tested. Such like establishment of a baseline.
@@JJ-ws3zn ok robot
You've got to buy it first, before you can mount any complaints about it.
For 105k shouldn’t it come with rear seat entertainment? Don’t get me wrong I love it and know it will last just feel for that much dough you should get some screens out back. Also, can’t wait to see how someone modifies that front grill for a new bumper.
For $105k it should come with an espresso maker.
good car
Great review. Wish the test vehicle had 18" AT tire so you could really test its off-road capabilities. I like the auto height adjustment system for LX but too bad it's only available at FS or above trims. To take anything over $110K off-road is a bit insane, so I'm probably leaning towards Sequoia at this point. It's too bad though as I'm partial to Lexus having owned 3 so far
why do you say that? How are you supposed to enjoy the pricy stuff off road then?
$100k or $110k seems like the same price to me. Wait a couple years and get a cpo for $75k.
People always say who would take a 100k car off road. Everyone! Its not some 600k Ferrari. Most trucks are in the 70k-100k range these days... take it right off the lot and offroad it... that's what you are paying for!
People will never take the LX600 off-road.. I hope they do! Give it a few years when used prices come down, I'd love to see good aftermarket for offriadingvthis.
bah lift that thing and slap some good mud terrains on her. beauty rig. I'm partial to my new 4runner though, love that thing especially for just 42k
Very great video! Thanks for your efforts & time...
I do ask for forgiveness on this next comment: looks similar to the Jeep GC-L & Wagoneer, especially from the rear. Just a comment boys n girls. My additional thoughts... Toyota knows better!
There is a big difference between a crossover and a body on frame SUV ,FYI
wish Lexus would give everyone a NON F sport..maybe something with 18" wheels and some KO2s
.3 Ryan trunk capacity but still a great car as long as you don't need the third row! Will miss the V8 sound but I guess it's still better than an EV (for offroading).
It's crazy that this thing has virtually the same cargo space, 2nd row down, as the Forester but looks much bigger
Yeah I looked at one that was over 100k and it was stock sheesh only if I was balling so i got an awd is350 f sport instead
Good review, I don’t get Toyota/Lexus, for an “off-road vehicle” it shouldn’t come with that low hanging front bumper which will rip off or scrape if you went farther up that hill. Another important new feature is that KDSS is now E-KDSS, electric and not hydraulic like the old one.
Most people will never off road these...yes they are capable but most people not gonna take a 6 figure luxury suv off road
@@6788tappleton true, I actually want to buy the last gen LX and take it off-road. It would be nice to have a factory configured LX for off-road that has high clearance front and rear bumpers made by the manufacturer with smaller wheels
Thanks for calling that out, had missed that e part of the new kdss system. But guess with this much tech, what’s one more electronic system.
@@6788tappleton used land cruisers now qualify as $100k plus
@@6788tappleton if you can afford it you'll take it off road. People who can't afford it like to imagine people who buy these will never use them off road... lol...
una de la jeepeta mas completa y segura y la visita al taller muy poca veses ,,,duradera y segura . los negativo el consumos de combutible es muy alto
In my country Malaysia. If the previous generation of LX570 the price was 1.2million Ringgit Malaysia in my country and no wonder if this brand new LX600 Fsport will be sell in the highest price then previous one 😂 . I am pretty sure the price will be between RM1.2m-RM1.5m include tax and insurance cost 😂 What a massive suv. BUT the price is worthy for all features and the design of this new LX guys. I LOVE THIS SUV compare to Land Cruiser model
I went for the real one lol, last summer i bought a brand new 2021 Land Cruiser black on black and im glad i did, btw fuel mileage wise, when you buy something like this you shouldn't worry about gas..
of course you should. part of luxury should be not having to spend so much time at a gas station.
@@510tuber a luxury car means a heavy one, so yeppp..
@@skyhawk5469 You clearly don't understand vehicles.
@@510tuber ok if you say so, not trying to convince all of you.
@@skyhawk5469 Seemed like it with a something stated as fact that included everyone.
why is the front not frameless? but this looks sturdier
What are the other competitive models to the lexus LX 600?? Any one 😅
Is it more cramped than the outgoing LX 570 in regards to the drivers space? Thanks for the review!!
Yes it is. That was a disappointment. I have the last 570 and just sat in one of the 600s. I can tell it’s significantly narrower outside and inside.
@@javhaabyambaa6438 thanks for the reply! Yeah that is a real disappointment.

Good 👍 bro
Couldn’t see the infotainment screen clearly, you should’ve set camera closer
As mentioned, the wheels and tires will hold it back outside of Rodeo Drive.
I don't give a DAMN, how much it cost! As long it's not giving me headaches back and forth, in and out the shop! Costing me more money than the monthly car note! Give me the Toyota/Lexus any day and time!
Look wise its 10 on 10
