Chana, I am undergoing chemo just had my second treatment today. In prep for the inevitable hair loss got hair halo - not full wig- and 2 head coveritngs BUT they are definitely not as attractive as your head coverings. Costco is always a nightmare even though we have 5 Costcos within between 0.5 and 5 miles of each other! Sometimes My wife and I say, does anybody work anymore? Go figure ! I have a suggestion for your seating and storage in the school. If you make bench like seating unit with a lid. It would give you a lot storage and very comfortable seating. Let me know what you think.😊🇨🇦
This is why I only go to Costco in the morning during the week :-) I don’t like all of the crowds. Wow that’s a lot of Costco you have near each other by you! Thank you so much for the suggestion about the seating! I think it’s a really neat idea, and very practical. Though I do have some chairs picked out for when we are ready to invest money into this room. There’s just something about cozy chairs in the room like this that just really complete it for me 😊
@@jaroffireflies We live in a suburb of the second largest city in Canada thus all the Costcos in close proximity. Reading nooks are awesome, as well. You can configure and reconfigure the seating for everyone with cool pillows. Anyhow just food for thought.😊🇨🇦

What a fun week! I love a good Costco haul. Cheez-it’s-definite must buy at Costco. I have a very similar veggie stacker and I love it. No more trying to find a place for the potatoes and onions. Winning! I just love that your son made Bella dog biscuits and gave some to friends for their fur baby. Such a servant heart-I always get a little teary when I see children with a heart for others and wanting to do nice things for them. (It shows that the parents are instilling great values in their children. The world NEEDS more of them, I’m my opinion.) Love the homeschool room-it looks so inviting. And lastly, thank you so much for sharing the Harry Potter illustrated edition. My grandson received it as a Christmas gift and we are reading it as our read aloud presently. He is loving it. Still jealous about the weather, the sun is shining here too now, but it is freezing . My week was hectic, monday pain, er, and had to stay in hospital. The day after I was operated, rook my galblatter out because I had huge Stones. Feeling much better now, also home sweet home. I even went to get some food for tonight, just a little walk, very tired and sleep a lot, but that like 15 minutes outside and with butcher was so nice. Dog is with me all the time, checking that I am fine. And now I am going to take another nap, than make dinner and will sleep very early tonight. Thank you for your prayers, I am feeling much better now it is just recovery time.

My mom and brother are coming from out of state tomorrow to see our first baby tomorrow! Baby girl will be 8 weeks old tomorrow. They have never seen our house either. They are both extremely (pathologicaly) organized and clean people so I'm trying to organize and clean everything while also attending to the baby, it's a lot! You help me focus! @@jaroffireflies Thank you. I try to journal, but my depression has been bad, so what am I going to write in it lol. My dad is handicapped with severe Parkinson’s, and I live with them to help my mom. But there are days where we are at our limit. I found gratitude journals online. I got each of us one and it’s helped to take a step back and think about what you are grateful for. It’s helped the both of us. I’d never heard about them, but I think everyone should have something like it. It gets my mind off the ‘bad’ and onto the ‘good’. But what I’m experiencing last night/now is not normal. So I’m going to head into the ER. You really need to make merch. I need a shirt that says ‘but that’s ok’.😂
@@sammycat4310 My mom has Parkinson's and I try to help my dad care for her when I can. It's very hard to see someone you love suffering. Maybe find a therapist, make sure to exercise daily if you can... Very best wishes to you and your family.
@@m.c.w1455 Thank you for the kind words. I suffer from anxiety and lately I’ve been having a lot of fear about the future. I’m so sorry about your mom. I was working in a memory care place for a month. The gentleman had Parkinson’s. He fell at home, and even tho there was 24/7 care for him, she put him in a memory care center. He was ok, except he didn’t have his ‘sea legs’ yet. My father has to be moved with a heavy machine, needs help with feeding and everything else. A few days after I started at the center, I told her I was going to cross the line ONCE. I said her husband was at the start of all this. My father is at the end. I told her, you have help, he can be home with her. Then I went back behind my line and never brought it up again. Again, thank you for the caring words this morning.
@@m.c.w1455 I can’t seem to find a therapist. I’ve tried. I just got back from the hospital. My BP was real high and my pulse 125. They did tests, but ended up saying it was stress. I feel like someone is sitting on my chest. They wouldn’t give me anything in an IV, because I drove myself there.

Hi Chana! The classroom looks wonderful! I see alot of learning and productivity going on there now and in the future. Enjoy those beautiful days outside, before you know it, it will get HOT! Here on the west coast of Florida, this is a great time to open the windows, enjoy outside with a sweatshirt on instead of the lightest clothes you own. I enjoy outside till the end of May and then stay inside until October! If I am not swimming, I am in the air conditioning! As always a pleasure to watch and learn.....
Just wanted to let you know, the caramel almond and sea salt (gold packaging) Kind bars have dairy in them! The other ones (blue package) don’t have dairy. I bought the mixture box and almost didn’t realize it myself.

Thank you so much, Karen! Yes, the puzzle table was constantly getting bumped, and visiting kids were constantly messing with it. We rarely finish a puzzle that has all of the pieces. I’m hoping with the puzzle table over on the other wall, that will not be so much of an issue anymore. :-)
@@jaroffireflies i never finish a puzzle without missing pieces! I've got 5 cats that always has to "help" me with puzzles. They are laying on the table, playing with the pieces or 2 have to be up there and playing with each other and knocking pieces to the floor. You'd never believe where I find pieces when I'm cleaning. ( under refrigerator, oven, chairs and in rooms that I seldom go into now that my kids have grown and moved out) I find pieces that were from 2-3 puzzles ago and then try to put them back in right boxes. I hope anyway lol 😆. But my cats keep me entertained. Oh did I mention my dog and 2 birds? My family all died and that's what what they left me. Animals that needed a home.
I love the flexibility that homeschooling brings you. It's a real advantage to be able to pump the brakes every once in a while based on your own need for rest. Everyone benefits that way! Our public school that my kids attend and I teach in has developed a calendar that has at least a week-long break 6 out of the 9 months of our school year. It's been a blessing to have breaks throughout the year, even though we have to start back earlier in Aug. than most other districts.

We’ve never seen him here before. Unfortunately, we couldn’t take him home to try to find an owner anything like that, there were no tags or call, and Bella would not get along with a cat, I’m sure.
The only people who don’t get excited about going to Costco are the people who have never been to Costco 😂 The orange cat on your walk was a flashback for me. When I was growing up there was an orange neighborhood cat who loved everyone. He would come in anyone’s house or car. His name was Max. So thanks for reminding me of that childhood memory! Your mention of pizza crust mix reminded me of something too! I have a bag in my basement too (Bob’s GF) that I had forgotten about, but I use it to make cinnamon rolls! Its been super cold and wet here (CT) and I am excited to make a cozy warm treat!

I’m just getting over Covid for the 2nd time. This is my 2nd week where I’m just tired. I’m going to venture out to get some groceries. In the meantime, my 9 year old mini dachshund is following me everywhere because he wants to go for a walk. We live in Central NY which is about 3 hours from NYC. It’s about 30 degrees which is about normal for us during this time of year. I enjoy watching your videos. They are always so upbeat and full of your beautiful personality. Yay! Vacation! Great to have more of a relaxed feeling even with all the work there is! The school room looks great!! Slowly you can add the chairs and more seating areas. Fun outing to the shop. of course you gotta have a treat with the kids. Ice cream in the winter! (I'm originally from Chicago and we would drive in the deep snow, freezing winds to the ice cream shop). Walking along the river is a beautiful way to spend time with the kids and friends! I melted MELTED into an absolute puddle of goo, watching you fold the little tiny sweaters for baby butterfly. I know they won’t stay that tiny for long, and I imagine you’re melting at the thought of your youngest growing up too, but it was just so sweet! And now I’m craving sushi… hmmm Door Dash for lunch? Not going to Costco though not braving that for another couple of weeks! I found a grocery store that sells those same Veggie Straws because they’re my favourite snack too. So in a pinch, I can still have them in my apartment. Because I have been known to eat them for dinner with tzatziki.

Hello Chana, thank you for another fantastic video. That dehydrator looks awesome. My ex would like that. He loves to make beef jerky. Is it easy to clean? Just love seeing Bella help out! Hehe She tries something hard to get some leftovers. 🤣 i think its great you are able to homeschool your children. I commend you for having the perseverance. The kids also interact with other kids and that is good. I am sorry someone was rude to you. People don’t understand how hard you work to make these videos and share your life with us as well as your husbands and what we see of the kiddos. Its okay for people to maybe suggest things, but not be pushy or critical. Here is my thought. As long as the kids read, it doesn’t matter where they sit. They could lay on their bed, make a tent under the dining room table. Take their pillows and blankets. Maybe have a special night to lay on your bed and read. Get appliance size boxes and make them into a play car. You don’t need to spend money. Heck Mr Firefly could make reading nooks out of scrap lumber and you could make cushions for them. But its up to you! Also, half of the world eats sushi. Nothing wrong with your family eating it. I think its cool the kids like sushi! Kudos to them. 😀my grandson loves that seaweed stuff from Costco. Me, not so much! Hehe. Thats my thoughts. A Home school room is what you make it! Don’t need to spend money on stuff if you can do it other ways! ❤i love your channel. I love seeing your kids help out. You are teaching them responsibility!! ❤

I'm feeling so nostalgic watching your Costco Haul.... our Costco in South Texas is having less and less kosher food. It's super disappointing. The frozen broccoli and cauliflower we used to buy every other week is now also sans hechsher and we haven't had kosher cheese here in months. Love how the new school room is coming along! Can't wait to see how the cozy nook turns out.
Oh no, I am so sad that your Costco is caring, less and less kosher food! I know I would be pretty upset if my Costco stopped selling kosher cheese. Hopefully they will get it back, were you able to request it?

I call dishes and laundry a NEVER ENDING STORY. Because we always have to eat and wear clothes. In prep for the inevitable hair loss got hair halo - not full wig- and 2 head coveritngs BUT they are definitely not as attractive as your head coverings. Will try to create similar style with scarves I have from years ago. Love the new schoolroom. Have an old time dehydrator love your modern version!

Costco is always a nightmare even though we have 5 Costcos within between 0.5 and 5 miles of each other! Sometimes My wife and I say, does anybody work anymore? Go figure ! I have a suggestion for your seating and storage in the school. If you make bench like seating unit with a lid. It would give you a lot storage and very comfortable seating. Let me know what you think.😊🇨🇦
This is why I only go to Costco in the morning during the week :-) I don’t like all of the crowds. Wow that’s a lot of Costco you have near each other by you! Thank you so much for the suggestion about the seating! I think it’s a really neat idea, and very practical. Though I do have some chairs picked out for when we are ready to invest money into this room. There’s just something about cozy chairs in the room like this that just really complete it for me 😊
@@jaroffireflies We live in a suburb of the second largest city in Canada thus all the Costcos in close proximity. Reading nooks are awesome, as well. You can configure and reconfigure the seating for everyone with cool pillows. Anyhow just food for thought.😊🇨🇦

What a fun week! I love a good Costco haul. Cheez-it’s-definite must buy at Costco. I have a very similar veggie stacker and I love it. No more trying to find a place for the potatoes and onions. Winning! I just love that your son made Bella dog biscuits and gave some to friends for their fur baby. Such a servant heart-I always get a little teary when I see children with a heart for others and wanting to do nice things for them. (It shows that the parents are instilling great values in their children. The world NEEDS more of them, I’m my opinion.)
Love the homeschool room-it looks so inviting. And lastly, thank you so much for sharing the Harry Potter illustrated edition. My grandson received it as a Christmas gift and we are reading it as our read aloud presently. He is loving it. The illustrations are helping hold his interest. He struggles sometimes when we read chapter books without “pictures” to stay engaged.

Still jealous about the weather, the sun is shining here too now, but it is freezing .
My week was hectic, monday pain, er, and had to stay in hospital. The day after I was operated, rook my galblatter out because I had huge Stones. Feeling much better now, also home sweet home. I even went to get some food for tonight, just a little walk, very tired and sleep a lot, but that like 15 minutes outside and with butcher was so nice. Dog is with me all the time, checking that I am fine. And now I am going to take another nap, than make dinner and will sleep very early tonight. Thank you for your prayers, I am feeling much better now it is just recovery time.

Hi Jeri! Great question. We use our dishwasher for our meat dishes and I hand wash our dairy dishes.

My mom and brother are coming from out of state tomorrow to see our first baby tomorrow! Baby girl will be 8 weeks old tomorrow. They have never seen our house either. They are both extremely (pathologicaly) organized and clean people so I'm trying to organize and clean everything while also attending to the baby, it's a lot! You help me focus!
Also I love those veggie straws. Especially the Apple Cinnamon ones.

Thank you for your early upload.! (6:40 am here) I was up all night with my anxiety. I get insomnia sometimes, but I’m calm and can find something to watch, until morning. Last night I couldn’t concentrate, I feel like I’m not getting enough oxygen when I breathe. Then I saw your video.💜Even tho my bp and pulse are high, I feel myself calming down a bit. I stopped halfway through your video to thank you for being you. And I’m loving your purple shoes!

@@jaroffireflies Thank you. I try to journal, but my depression has been bad, so what am I going to write in it lol. My dad is handicapped with severe Parkinson’s, and I live with them to help my mom. But there are days where we are at our limit. I found gratitude journals online. I got each of us one and it’s helped to take a step back and think about what you are grateful for. It’s helped the both of us. I’d never heard about them, but I think everyone should have something like it. It gets my mind off the ‘bad’ and onto the ‘good’. But what I’m experiencing last night/now is not normal. So I’m going to head into the ER. You really need to make merch. I need a shirt that says ‘but that’s ok’.😂
@@sammycat4310 My mom has Parkinson's and I try to help my dad care for her when I can. It's very hard to see someone you love suffering. Maybe find a therapist, make sure to exercise daily if you can... Very best wishes to you and your family.
@@m.c.w1455 Thank you for the kind words. I suffer from anxiety and lately I’ve been having a lot of fear about the future. I’m so sorry about your mom. I was working in a memory care place for a month. The gentleman had Parkinson’s. He fell at home, and even tho there was 24/7 care for him, she put him in a memory care center. He was ok, except he didn’t have his ‘sea legs’ yet. My father has to be moved with a heavy machine, needs help with feeding and everything else. A few days after I started at the center, I told her I was going to cross the line ONCE. I said her husband was at the start of all this. My father is at the end. I told her, you have help, he can be home with her. Then I went back behind my line and never brought it up again. Again, thank you for the caring words this morning.
@@m.c.w1455 I can’t seem to find a therapist. I’ve tried. I just got back from the hospital. My BP was real high and my pulse 125. They did tests, but ended up saying it was stress. I feel like someone is sitting on my chest. They wouldn’t give me anything in an IV, because I drove myself there.
I really want that dehydrator. Maybe someday. I love that Bella likes to “contribute” by pre-washing your dishes.
It’s a really fantastic dehydrator, happy with it. I hope you’re able to get when I get to one day.

Hi Chana! The classroom looks wonderful! I see alot of learning and productivity going on there now and in the future. Enjoy those beautiful days outside, before you know it, it will get HOT! Here on the west coast of Florida, this is a great time to open the windows, enjoy outside with a sweatshirt on instead of the lightest clothes you own. I enjoy outside till the end of May and then stay inside until October! If I am not swimming, I am in the air conditioning! As always a pleasure to watch and learn.....

Just wanted to let you know, the caramel almond and sea salt (gold packaging) Kind bars have dairy in them! The other ones (blue package) don’t have dairy. I bought the mixture box and almost didn’t realize it myself.

Thank you so much, Karen! Yes, the puzzle table was constantly getting bumped, and visiting kids were constantly messing with it. We rarely finish a puzzle that has all of the pieces. I’m hoping with the puzzle table over on the other wall, that will not be so much of an issue anymore. :-)

@@jaroffireflies i never finish a puzzle without missing pieces! I've got 5 cats that always has to "help" me with puzzles. They are laying on the table, playing with the pieces or 2 have to be up there and playing with each other and knocking pieces to the floor. You'd never believe where I find pieces when I'm cleaning. ( under refrigerator, oven, chairs and in rooms that I seldom go into now that my kids have grown and moved out) I find pieces that were from 2-3 puzzles ago and then try to put them back in right boxes. I hope anyway lol 😆. But my cats keep me entertained. Oh did I mention my dog and 2 birds? My family all died and that's what what they left me. Animals that needed a home.
I love the flexibility that homeschooling brings you. It's a real advantage to be able to pump the brakes every once in a while based on your own need for rest. Everyone benefits that way! Our public school that my kids attend and I teach in has developed a calendar that has at least a week-long break 6 out of the 9 months of our school year. It's been a blessing to have breaks throughout the year, even though we have to start back earlier in Aug. than most other districts.

The cat was so friendly! It was very soft, and I have a feeling that he definitely has a home nearby. We’ve never seen him here before. Unfortunately, we couldn’t take him home to try to find an owner anything like that, there were no tags or call, and Bella would not get along with a cat, I’m sure.
The only people who don’t get excited about going to Costco are the people who have never been to Costco 😂 The orange cat on your walk was a flashback for me. When I was growing up there was an orange neighborhood cat who loved everyone. He would come in anyone’s house or car. His name was Max. So thanks for reminding me of that childhood memory! Your mention of pizza crust mix reminded me of something too! I have a bag in my basement too (Bob’s GF) that I had forgotten about, but I use it to make cinnamon rolls! Its been super cold and wet here (CT) and I am excited to make a cozy warm treat!

I’m just getting over Covid for the 2nd time. This is my 2nd week where I’m just tired. I’m going to venture out to get some groceries. In the meantime, my 9 year old mini dachshund is following me everywhere because he wants to go for a walk. We live in Central NY which is about 3 hours from NYC. It’s about 30 degrees which is about normal for us during this time of year. I enjoy watching your videos. They are always so upbeat and full of your beautiful personality. Yay! Vacation! Great to have more of a relaxed feeling even with all the work there is! The school room looks great!! Slowly you can add the chairs and more seating areas. Fun outing to the shop. of course you gotta have a treat with the kids. Ice cream in the winter! (I'm originally from Chicago and we would drive in the deep snow, freezing winds to the ice cream shop). Walking along the river is a beautiful way to spend time with the kids and friends! I melted MELTED into an absolute puddle of goo, watching you fold the little tiny sweaters for baby butterfly. I know they won’t stay that tiny for long, and I imagine you’re melting at the thought of your youngest growing up too, but it was just so sweet! And now I’m craving sushi… hmmm Door Dash for lunch? Not going to Costco though not braving that for another couple of weeks! I found a grocery store that sells those same Veggie Straws because they’re my favourite snack too. So in a pinch, I can still have them in my apartment. Because I have been known to eat them for dinner with tzatziki.

I would have to ask for permission to film at the mikvah, and I would not feel like when I go for me, because that is a special time, and not some thing that I would like to share on the Internet. However, maybe a tour sometime could work but right now things are just really busy with baby Firefly that I can’t arrange something like that.
Hello Chana, thank you for another fantastic video. That dehydrator looks awesome. My ex would like that. He loves to make beef jerky. Is it easy to clean? Just love seeing Bella help out! Hehe She tries something hard to get some leftovers. 🤣 i think its great you are able to homeschool your children. I commend you for having the perseverance. The kids also interact with other kids and that is good. I am sorry someone was rude to you. People don’t understand how hard you work to make these videos and share your life with us as well as your husbands and what we see of the kiddos. Its okay for people to maybe suggest things, but not be pushy or critical. Here is my thought. As long as the kids read, it doesn’t matter where they sit. They could lay on their bed, make a tent under the dining room table. Take their pillows and blankets. Maybe have a special night to lay on your bed and read. Get appliance size boxes and make them into a play car. You don’t need to spend money. Heck Mr Firefly could make reading nooks out of scrap lumber and you could make cushions for them. But its up to you! Also, half of the world eats sushi. Nothing wrong with your family eating it. I think its cool the kids like sushi! Kudos to them. 😀my grandson loves that seaweed stuff from Costco. Me, not so much! Hehe. Thats my thoughts. A Home school room is what you make it! Don’t need to spend money on stuff if you can do it other ways! ❤i love your channel. I love seeing your kids help out. You are teaching them responsibility!! ❤

Yes, I’ve found the dehydrator to be very easy to clean because the trays pull out and I put them in the dishwasher along with the drip pan. Really well made!

I'm feeling so nostalgic watching your Costco Haul.... our Costco in South Texas is having less and less kosher food. It's super disappointing. The frozen broccoli and cauliflower we used to buy every other week is now also sans hechsher and we haven't had kosher cheese here in months.

Oh no, I am so sad that your Costco is caring, less and less kosher food! I know I would be pretty upset if my Costco stopped selling kosher cheese. Hopefully they will get it back, were you able to request it?
@@jaroffireflies we did ask but they said they're having supply issues and weren't sure if they would be able to get it in. But our local grocery has been getting better about their kosher section so that's been great.
