We bought a steamer, mattress covers and bought crossfire and it took us 6 months to get rid of them. After we bought a set of used bunk bed. I knew nothing about bedbugs. What a NIGHTMARE.

this helps a lot. i have to take the bus to work everyday and i work at goodwill so i’m at double high risk. i got this job after dealing with bed bugs and it makes me really nervous everyday when i go home. its only been almost two months since my last treatment and every itchy bump makes me scared. i always throw my clothes in the washer and dryer everyday as soon as i get home off the bus and keep my purse and shoes in a big ziplock bag.

This was a really really great topic! I absolutely love hearing how to prevent them. I once lived in an apartment and only after spraying, bleaching my hard objects, and spraying our plastic bins for packing did we finally win when we moved out. Our apartment was horrible and sprayed every week for roaches and bed bugs and yet the spray did nothing because they took the cheapest and worst options. Only because of your content was I able to fight back myself. Sincerely, thank you for your work.

There's a few questions I've heard speculation on. If an adult can feed, they can live up to 7 years. True or false? An adult can live up to 18 months on one meal. I've heard you say that. Now if a nymph hatches with no meals, how long can they survive? And what stage will they grow to no meals? Saying like an abandoned house for instance.

    • @GreenAkersPC

A nymph dies in 4 months and an adult can live 10-18 months but not 7 years.

We are military and moved into military base housing in May and used an U-Haul truck. One week ago we found bed bugs in my daughters room. We had an exterminator come out and he thinks the bed bugs were either in our house or we could have gotten them from the moving truck. He sprayed the entire house yesterday and I have watched several of your videos and ordered Crossfire. You have calmed my nerves completely however I do have a question. I checked our pillows and could not find anything, should I just throw them away or should I throw them in the dryer? Thank you for all of your videos and informing all of us. You seriously are a lifesaver and a great guy. Thank you for all you do!

They were in the apartment when i moved in! I wasn’t familiar w/them at all. It took me over a year to come to the realization i had them.

Yeah I actually had an issue with this but the other person was in the wrong they new I was looking for a couch and offered it to us and told us it was nice. When we got it home it smelled like dog and was all ripped up and my brother had noticed a bug on him but he’s blind so he wasn’t sure what kind of bug it was, but he told me to check the furniture very thoroughly because we had had issues with bedbugs before when we lived in apartments. I checked every seem on the couch and found 2 live bedbugs on it we threw it out immediately and I contacted the person who claimed that they didn’t know they had the bugs. I think they just wanted someone to hall off the couch for free. Will never be getting used furniture or clothes again unless it’s from trustworthy family or friends.

Now since this video, this gave me a new point of view. I'm planning on treating a small rooming house where my dad lives with Crossfire. Due to my dad giving me a mild infestation last November (which I nip in the bud quick). The other day my dad told me the owner of the home hasn't called an exterminator in almost two years. The only reason I'm doing this job for cheap (at a loss) because I want to spend time with my dad (who's almost 65 years old) WITHOUT worrying about will he leave a few bed bugs in my car or home.
I really don't understand how people can just live places and not consider doing something about their pest issue. I just can't wrap my head around this mindset, it is frustrating.

My husband drives a guy to work who lives in a motel in the city...a small motel. When I brought this subject up my husband totally lost his mind on me saying I hate this guy (whom I never met and I do not hate him) said he was gonna leave me and take everything because I was saying it was from him... Although I didn't say it was ..mI said it was a possibility because they hit him first...we have lived in our place for 1.5 years with no problems. I am gonna treat with crossfire and then alpine after...but since he lost his mind on me I am gonna have to hope this alpine can keep the newer ones out??? Thanks.

My spouse is not getting bit but I am. Huge welts/bites. Doctor said it was bites but not sure if it was from bed bugs. I was floored as I’m a fanatic about cleanliness.
Not sure if it matters but I can be sitting next to my spouse and I get chewed by mosquitoes and my spouse doesn’t get one bite.

Mosquitoes like certain blood types more than others and will bite a person with a certain blood type over a person with a different blood type. Might be the same thing with bed bugs?
