It would've been very interesting to have songs mute and unmute channels each time they loop around, it would've given the audio so much variety, and made it feel that much more cathartic when the theme with all channels enabled came up. I don't know if it would've been possible with the GBA, but some of the wave patterns and drums from these songs would definitely have worked by themselves. I think Incident Occurrence could've greatly benefitted from this given it's so short.
Ok, finally my thoughts on this theme, going all out for THE FINAL BATTLE, CYBEAST, on that cybeat...that was a dumb joke... Time for my thoughts, the squares have a video gamey sound to them, with beeps and boops on on any actual instrument... the pcm samples going all in, first half is opresive, second half is more hopeful, but still chaotic, i love the heavy drum sample in this, they're really good, i love the squares + wave they compliment each other well, drums and pcm go hard, i love this piece, going right behind vs LifeVirus on my tierlist, im just attached to that so too much, but this song does everything right.. well done....
Always loved this one. Sure it's just a faster, more intense mix of Surge of Power, but that's what makes it shine. What are your plans for after BN6? BN5DS? SF? Something else? Either way, looking forward to it! :3
I have a post about my future plans in my community tab. So far I want to deconstruct the BN spinoffs' music, and after that star force is tentative. I'll probably post more updates as I get closer to the end of the spinoffs.
@@GremmarYT Ah, fair enough! When you do get to the DS titles though they should actually be relatively easy to deconstruct I think. It's not the most elegant solution but VGMTrans is able to convert the Nitro Composer sequences into MIDIs and make a .SF2 from the sound banks to go with them. Channel volumes might end up being a bit off though. There might also be other solutions out there but that's an option at least. (I've at least been able to confirm that all three Star Force games work for this method as does BN5DS).
@@pacmanlv256 thanks for the recommendation! I'll try that tool. I also know one called VG music studio that seems to work well, haven't tried it myself though
Alright, before giving my thoughts on this track, im basically going to do a final boss track ranking, MMBN1 Vs. LifeVirus! it's a reprise of the normal boss theme, i love the grainy texture of the theme, its probably the song ive viewed most, its just really good, MMBN2 Vs. Gospel, it has a kinda push you down type thing, beating you up with the oppressive organ and drums, but then it lifts you back up, saying that 'you can do it, give it you're best shot', It's not my favorite, but still good MMBN3, Vs. Alpha, has the same push and pull vibes but stronger, the first half is all pushing down, and the second half is all pulling up... just a great song... MMBN4, vs duo, i have divulged enough on this piece already, but just note it doesn't have that same push and pull quality as BN2 or 3, and doesn't have the fun and upbeat nature as BN1, its just slamming your head into a brick wall every note, not letting up... MMBN5, Vs. Nebula Grey, this piece goes back to Bn2 and 3s formula, pushing you down for the first half, and building you back up the second half, good for fixing what i didn't like about BN4... good stuff
OK, my final boss theme rankings, #6, Vs. DUO, I just don't like it... #5, Vs. Nebula Grey, doesn't hit the highs of the other themes, still rather good though... #4 this is a tough one, but Vs. Gospel, just behind number 3 #3, Vs. Alpha, just does things a little better then Gospel... #2 Vs. LifeVirus... it's just extremely catchy, love this theme... #1 Vs. Cybeast, it's basically a culmination of every other final boss theme(aside from Duo) and builds upon it, extremely intense drums, in the action, sporadic yet catchy and memorable theme, oppressive and uplifting, and it being a motif from the regular boss theme, which is already really good, it has it all there for the making of a number one spot... im also going to do rankings of the battle and boss battle themes on their respective videos...
Now these are some new sounds, and the Square 1 acting as a second bass is crazy
I really love that so many samples are thrown into pcm 1, kinda feels like they wanted to go out with bang.
The wave + drums go so damn hard
Another one I anticipated, it's actually interesting how many PCMs were used for this track
2:53 to the end sounds like a throwback remix. It sounds really good!
God i love PCM1 and the Drums.
I could be imagining things, but i hear some subtle callbacks to VS Gospel in here.
Must be the wave pattern
Love that metallic sound snare
The PCM1/2-only mix sounds like some sort of Metroid theme... I like it

Holy shit I wasn't expecting this so soon after Two of Braves.
Such a jamming theme.
