For most top management the only emphasize on cost for 3 main strategy which is profit strategy, cost reduction strategy and product strategy, WMS vendor quality tracking, tracking on Tim loss in daily activity, and early warning on inventory loss
We are looking to improve our warehouse process efficiently. It called my attention you mentioned the *receiving* process. Currently we don't have the ability to scan any sku of the product that is coming in. We wait until the all pallets are inside the warehouse and later we check the packing list and in front of the computer desk we print the labels and scan the sku after been generated. For me it's a long process. I need to implement a process easier and FASTER. To start I guess we need to request our vendor to place the item sku outside of the box. Sometimes they are multiple sku's inside. Second to invest on a Mobil printer device to place the receiving LP right in there. What's your advice on this?
You hit the nail on the head. The only way to make this process more efficient is to have your vendor place the SKU's outside the box. You would scan this label for the items being received, and later place a pallet label containing the contents of the pallet. This label will be scanned to give entry into your bin locations within your warehouse. If you'd like to discuss this in more detail, please let me know and we can schedule a call where I learn a little more about your business and give you my feedback.
@@Laceupsolutions I appreciate so much your response. I will hit the nail on the head for sure. I will discuss this change with my Logistic manager, hopefully we can make and add that adjustment from our vendor. My Logistic manager is used to the old system and what we are currently doing, but I do think that we can upgrade and work more efficient in a different way because my company is projecting to grow and increase our workload in the warehouse. In fact, we are searching for a new WMS. Currently we are using SAVANT and few weeks ago we saw a demo for a nice upgrade and it's cloud based. Let's see what we decide. Thanks though for your input.
Great video, I would advice one thing though: Hire an animator and stretch the video out a little by building up your explanation in very clear steps and blocks. Don't forget that old math teacher who knew exactly what he was talking about, but forgot his pupils had no idea what he was explaining because he was explaining things that are new to them. Your story is build up in straightforward blocks, checking in, picking orders, getting ready to send your inventory out. Each step has very clear building blocks themselves. The second you visualize them you make use of the medium you are using (video). Or else this is just a generic explanation video. The difference being: People only remember 10% of your content, compared to a potential 30% or better, if you take the time to explain these things properly. Right now I had to pauze and rewatch some bits because you race over topics that are just as important, but might be "regular" topics for you. Try and avoid becoming "the math teacher", and use the medium to its full potential. I felt there was no difference between watching you now in this clip, or rewatching it and listen only.

Do the video about challenges of distribution
Hi, we are looking to track why our customer receives short quantity of goods. Do u have any tips or video made on that?
I do not, but if you can provide a bit more context in regards to how they receive short quantity of goods perhaps I can make a video.
