Losing John Hicks and Roy still hurts.

Roy practically grew up at Bradley's. Many of his songs honor the "elders" he heard every night! OMG, love this by John Hicks! It's one of those songs that you never forget once you've heard it. I heard John and Kenny Baron play a duet at JazzMobile by Grant's Tomb. It was the first time I heard "After the Morning," and I have never forgotten it to this day!

starwinds North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam. I don’t know what year. But Montez and Danton were playing with Roy from 2008 to about 2014, I believe. You can probably pull the lineup and see. Just trace the years by the band members. Look for the year that Orrin Evans, the pianist was with him.
