Point restrictions work only marginally. I have hunted Kansas a couple times. Everyone there , residents and non residents have to draw a buck tag does are over the counter. The hunting there is just spectacular. I would see a DOZEN BUCKS EVERY DAY, eight points or better. Michigan just doesn’t get it. Michigan hunters wanting a chance at a trophy whitetail hav to hunt another state. Very sad.

Glad for antler restrictions. Too many young bucks were being harvested.
PA started it years ahead of MI.
The biggest issue is poachers now
