I always think its amazing how many people didn't like this putter just by the looks especially the old one until you try one ,the mez gets over looked and is amazing to. I putted years ago with the original but it was left handed and i still was blown away

The Mez Max Broom is the best thing that’s happened to my game.
Confidence is so high. I’ll miss a few short still. Nothings perfect! But I’m draining more 10-20 footers than I have in my 35+ years of playing. I hit and see my lines so much easier being upright.

I have DF 2.1 and love it. You speak no lies, the LAB almost feels like a cheat code… point and shoot.
The only thing I wonder about is feel. As someone that only used milled 300 series stainless steel putters the ting-y feel was hard to get used to.
Love the smaller foot print of the DF3 but probably not enough to ditch the 2.1. That said if they made DF4 with an insert… *chefs kiss*

Hi Andrew from Barrie Ontario. I have the original DF2.1 and although it's somewhat ugly, at least that's what my playing partners say, it is the best putter i've ever used after playing golf for 56 years. This will be my third season with it and I would be hard pressed to use another putter in the future, unless it's a L.A.B . I sink more putts than I ever have before and practicing is enjoyable. Btw, with the money i've won from my partners, it's paid for itself.

Have a lab mez long putter and like it. Got it because I was watching the tour pro's using it and announcers were saying how well it was between the 6-10 ft puts which my weak part of putting.
Had this for about 6 months now and notice big different in the 1-10 foot range and putting has improved. Only problem is the longer puts, it takes a while to get the range down on them.
I have back issues as well and think this helps with being more upright on putts and less strain on the back.
Only problem, is you can't pick up balls with the mez. Looks like you can with your version though

Recently, at a group lesson, I out putted everyone with my old Heavy Putter B3-M I picked up years ago on sale for $75. A few guys had Scottys and there was one Evnroll and one LAB. My last round I dropped a 23' and a 34' putt. I save pars from 10-12' with this putter all the time. I think I got lucky and found an off the rack putter that just really fits me. If my putting was off and seriously costing my strokes, I would be looking hard at a LAB putter.

  • @stephendibari5010

Great video. Last July I ordered the limited edition Odyssey Versa Jailbird 380, had it cut down to 36 inches and added 60 grams in the butt end for more counterbalancing. I choke down to about 34-35 inches. The counterbalancing is great on longer putts especially over 10 feet. Its face balanced and I’m missing a lot of short putts inside 5-10 feet. I have a slight arc in my stroke.
3 years ago I had custom ordered a DF 2.1 using their virtual fitting, but couldn’t get used to the ugly looks of it and wound up selling it.
Contemplating whether to take the leap on the DF 3. If I do I will go thru the custom remote fitting.
What are your thoughts on me with a slight arc missing a lot of short Putts left with a face balanced putter? Is it me or I should I be using a putter with some toe hang? If I need toe hang how will a DF 3 help me ?

    • @davidfletcher6836
      @davidfletcher6836 4 місяці тому +1

I’ve been for a fitting today and I use a two ball blade and have an arc in my stroke. Ordered a df3 after about half a dozen putts I could see the benefits. The fitted lasted about an hour and I hit loads of putts. I didn’t change my stroke at all just let the putter do its thing. I found it easy to line up the look didn’t bother me . I thought coming from using the white hot insert the solid metal would fell harsh but it felt great. If in any doubt I would go and try them as tbh I wasn’t sure about the look or the center shaft but neither bothered me once I used it.

@@davidfletcher6836 nice. I don’t have an issue with the DF3 visually. Like I said I was custom fit for the DF2.1 and it was ugly and enormous. It did perform but I’m very visual with my putting and I couldn’t get over the looks. It looks like a BRANDING IRON for cows. Not in a rush. My Jailbird Versa 380 limited edition “Ricky Fowler” is great, I do have some slight pulls which is most likely a combo of me and the fact it is a nearly face balanced. Definitely will do the remote fitting for the DF3 next spring

MUCH easier on the eyes compared to the ugly DF2.1 it just square to the target line, no manipulation of the head is needed. The 3 will be in my bag forever.

The degree of press isn’t what you press but rather the angle the shaft leans towards the leading edge.
The DF 2.1 requires 3* because the shaft is set back. The 3.0 which you have the shaft isn’t as far back which allows for the 1.5 or 2.0 press grip.
