The fact that Dave sings over that main riff puts him in a league of his own. That main riff is fast af!! Chris Poland has been gold on everything he's ever done. His playing on the older Megadeth albums was insanely good and very fast. Some like it, some dont. I personally like everything he does. I always learn something important from his playing no matter what genre he's dabbling in, at any given time. @Luke Garcia Can confirm, the difficulty with singing is the rhythm of the strokes, what a lot of people don't get is the fact that She Wolf has triple double palm mute chugs vs Black Friday has continuous single palm mutes.
This song sounds on tape much better than live. And I don't know why! Maybe those passages are too.. em.. subtle for one take performance? And maybe that's why they don't play it anymore

Awesome guitar playing! Really inspiring! Dave Mustaine’s guitar parts sound exactly the same, if not better. I realize Chris’ parts are harder to completely nail, cause he’s from another planet, but not even Marty Friedman could do that with the exact same feel.

Amazing spot on cover. The composition of this song is absolutely Mozart level metal composition. How Mustaine wrote this in his early 20's and then played it and sang at the same time is positively mind blowing. Absolute masterwork from the metal god genius. And Detratone learned it and nails it perfectly! Salute!
Now I understand why growing up everyone was playing Metallica covers. No way any of them could touch this.
When I warm up, I play Metallica. When I'm warmed up, I play Megadeth.

How the hell Dave managed to sing and play these riffs at the same time I can’t understand. Maybe muscle memory? Drugs?
