I think it's amazing how far science and technology have come over the past 20 + 30yrs. It never ceases to amaze me, just how intelligent some people are... I mean, if they know they can figure this one thing out, but need technology to catch up, they'll go and invent the machine etc to make it work! ( Not talking about this case in particular, I mean just in general)
Don't know about anyone else, but I'd love to be that intelligent!
      Thanks for the uploads ❤️

As a young journalist I covered this trial for the newspaper in Brownsville, TX. My most vivid memory is of the prosecution playing that horrifying tape over and over. I went on to cover almost 500 homicide scenes in bigger cities during my career, but I'm pretty sure this case haunts me more than just about any other. I am 68 now, and I still think of poor Billy and Letty all the time. Such evil, such horrifying evil.

Killing someone who wants to be in their child’s life is so shortsighted. An x/partner could be a blessing to that child because you never know what the future holds.

Fortunately poor Billy had the best idea by recording the whole horrible scenario. Makes me wonder if those evil killers might have got away with their evil deeds if Billy had not recorded their horrible murders. So sad, especially for the innocent kids caught in the hostility and bitterness of custody battles. Now they don't have parents anymore, cos their parents acted like squabbling kids, and doing the worst thing they possibly could. Poor kids, and their murdered parents. 😢

If I remember correctly from the trial, he taped the recorder to his torso on advice of his lawyer. Everyone connected with the case marveled at how it still worked after three weeks of lying in a wet, shallow drainage ditch in 90-degree South Texas heat.

🎉Happy 200th Anniversary to the Texas Rangers! 🎊
I really get a kick out of the way the writers occasionally word things. Saying that the missing evidence was rock solid gave me a good laugh. Sometimes, the writers are very punny guys, which helps to lighten the seriousness of the subject matter. The laugh didn't last long though, finding out they killed him with his daughter so close, & actually planned it that way, was absolutely appalling.

@@dangerwolveshowl6690Tragically, that is part of their history & the reason they were formed. While nothing can make up for their violent actions against Native Americans, hopefully, their later law enforcement efforts brought them some redemption.

People need to stop being so nice and helpful when it could endanger their lives. As a rape survivor I learned to tell people I couldn’t help them but I’ll call the cops and they can help them. Society functions on trust, but trusting many people can get you killed. Learn to say no to people who want your help.

All the (skipable YT) ads arent the channels fault, that's youtube. They're pushing more ads on every video to encourage people to pay for youtube premium. Its $10 a month, no ads, youtube music offline and gets you lots of other benefits. Worth it if you watch youtube a lot. Ive had it for so long that i forgot youtube even has ads.
