Brandy I know this is an older video, but I've done the same haul. How are your experiences with Ayurevdec therapy going? When I do mine I only use 2 or 3 at a time at the most. I mix them as a paste and use aloe Vera juice instead of water. Also I let them set over night to really get dissolved in the aloe juice then the next day I add my conditioner and mix well. I usually let them sit on my head about an hour then rinse out. Sometimes I have to mildly shampoo depending on which therapy I use because sometime if I don't shampoo, my scalp gets itchy. The itchiness stops once I shampoo. But I really love my results on all the ones I bought and used so far. My hair is soft and moisturized and growing. I also have a good hair regime using organic products from Asleylaurennaturalproducts.

Could you all say what kind of aloe vera gel you found. I made some gel with the leaves but for some reason it leaves a flaky residue after drying - the pure gel is nice but it takes a while to shuck it, then blend, then strain...i dont want a product with alcohol though...Curly Proverbz talks about aloe vera juice but I wonder what kind she uses - do you all know?

Former cassia virgin! Just used the cassia gloss with a deep conditioner. I sat under a heating cap for 1/2 hour and my results are juicy defined curls that are poppin! My hair is soft and on day 2 I didn’t have to refresh. I also have ash blonde hair and I didn’t notice a change in color. I was worried which is why I only kept it in for 1/2 hour. Next time I will leave it for 45 minutes. Amazing product! Thanks Curly Proverbz! I’m sold on your cassia gloss!

I too am so glad you are on youtube. I am learning so much about ayurveda and my hair is certainly benefiting from it. I have been using a henna tea for about 3 weeks now and I have to tell you that my hair is absolutely loving it. From the first use my hair felt instantly strengthened. I also tried in for the first time as a gloss with my Giovanni smooth as silk conditioner and I am head over heals in love. My hair was soft, smooth and so detangled. Another major way it has help is with shedding and breaking. I was suffering so much with hair breakage and in the 3 weeks I have used the henna my shedding and breakage has decrease markedly. I cannot thank you enough for all the information. Many blessings.

I started using the original gloss as a pre poo an hour or so before I wash my hair, as I had a hard time getting it all out using it post poo.
I've only used it twice, but I've noticed that it makes detangling easy and I'm noticing it's helping to form curls at my crown where my hair is usually just frizzy with no discernable curl.
I'm going to continue using it weekly to see if my results continue. Now I can't wait to create the oil!

Lol, "cassia curious". @curlyproverbz I appreciate the breakdown and really getting to see what you do. Also, I'm less scared of the henna, now.

hello. love you. I was just wondering how often should the henna/cassia glosses and teas be used. I wash once a week and retwist my hair every other day. Thank you for all of your advice and help.

Hi! Love these videos. I just watched one where you used different clays and showed the results. Do you prefer henna, rhassoul one of the other 2 you used? And for a beginner, if you use a clay gloss, which would you prefer? I believe i have low porosity hair, but i don't know if that affects the type of clay I would use. Oh and thank you!

Hello! Do glosses in an Ayurvedic routine replace the need for weekly deep conditioning in your opinion? Thank you

I learn so much from your videos! Thank you for what you do! In this video you mention Cassia and that it has no effect on dark hair. What about for light brown to blonde hair? I'm reluctant to try henna and I have been watching your videos on cassia but it isn't clear to me whether it changes light colored hair. Let me know. Thanks again! Love your videos.

I do wonder if, color aside, you'd prefer cassia or henna mask? I'm happy with the henna but when I reorder, I may try the cassia. I also used the tea rinse, fresh from the fridge. Cold and refreshing! My hair loved it. Thanks again!

Thank you for this and a wonderful chanel. I have been with you for years. My hair hates all types of commercial consitioners. My hair reacts to alcohol and chemicals. So I only use DIY shae butter mix and oils.
Can you make a leave in conditioner??

  • @chrisallen1934

Hi again! I used the henna gloss for the first time this weekend. I found that although the mask did seem to be moist when I opened the bag, it was mostly the oils included that gave it that look. I took a couple of small clumps and mixed it with water and then with a deep conditioner. I have no idea yet if it will help with growth, but I did notice immediately that detangling was easier and that I had far less shrinkage so my hair immediately LOOKED longer once it dried. It also had nice movement and fullness, which I don't always see on day one. I'm excited to get this into my regular routine and will keep you Posted! I've also recommended it to my sisters so we'll see how it works for them. Thanks!!
