I ended up deadlifting 700lbs in this video which I was happy with. After my upcoming comp I will start attacking my deadlift game to increase my conventional deadlift strength and really work on programming for the deadlift. So if you are wondering how I fixed my deadlift this video covers it all! Enjoy!

I was stupid lost my account password. I would appreciate any tricks you can give me.
@Phillip Jaxson Instablaster ;)
@Pedro James Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im waiting for the hacking stuff atm.
I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
I just lift with my back, works great.
SAME
I lift with a forklift... 🤔
I felt the " he lifts 9000 pounds, I lift 0 " line.
There is always a bigger dog, and it's easy to lose perspective, but you are an absolute strong beast Joey!
thanks I appreciate that!
“Depth before dishonor” lmao where did he get that shirt
From depth before dishonor lol
@@SzatStrength haha I didn’t think that was an actual company, has to be a reference to death before dishonor right?
It’s a sweet clothing company that sells shirts, socks, banners and stickers. Pretty sweet designs. My favorite is the log pressing zombie.
what shade lipstick is that? - oh its nosebleed red
hahah sexy nosebleed red
Oh snap! I haven't seen Mr Arbic in a while. He's got that good info.
Well I appreciate you peepin this one! Thank you for the kind words.
Out of every how to and tip video for deadlifting that I’ve watched. This has been the most informative and helpful video, honestly.
I'm humbled Chris. Thank you for that. I'm glad this was useful
“He deadlifts like 9,000lbs” I’m just imagining 9 Adam Paul’s yelling.
hahaha
Glad to see Brad on your channel.
Strong friends make you stronger. 💪
Looking strong gentlemen.
Too kind BCD, much appreciated
Brad is such a humble unassuming man/monster with a great gift for teaching. Definitely going to subscribe to his channel. Great video!
Kris, thank you for the kind words. I very much appreciate it.
Brad is a good guy. He deserves more subscribers.
Thanks EE, too kind.
The bad omens playing in the background though🔥
great tunes
Excellent advices from Brad on technique and progression. Great guy
Thanks Henry, I'm glad you found it useful. Thanks for checking it out.
Awesome video guys!
Thanks for checking it out Rocco!
Amazing tips and thorough explanations Coach Joe and Brad!! Awesome collab!! The tip regarding burning out before reaching your projected weight has been my problem. Tested out Brad’s tip about jumping up with singles was a game changer!! Also, strapping in at a knee helped my setup greatly. Pulled a easy 500 lbs with these cues and tips. Thank you again Coach Joe and Brad!!
Yes my mate Brad . Love you man . Lets do some live you tube again . Szat love your channel . Man . Good stuff . 👍👍👍
ARNO! Thanks for checking it out!
He is such a likeable dude
Im Just Subscribe. Awesome Channel
The "Red Rep"! Nice 👏👏👏
Coach Matt's a BEAST!!!
Good vid!! I think Joe should raise his hip a touch in his setup, eliminating the hip rise before the bar leaves the floor.
I had a nose bleed once.
It was 1977. I was 9 years old.
Also, I was struck in the face.
Love your videos and Brad is a good guy to listen to.
And, your lighting is really fucking loud.
😄
Jim, I laughed out loud when I read your post. Thanks for the kind words man, I appreciate you checking this one out.
Wtching this made me realize I didnt know how much I want my nose to pop deadlifting lol. Too bad you arent closer to South Jersey. It would be a an honor to workout in your gym man. Maybe one day
Step 1: load 700 lbs on a bar
Step 2: ?
Step 3: profit
$$$$$
Bro down
The gym tunes were on point this video
Great content! Thanks!
Glad you liked this one Brandon, it was a lot of fun for me
Beautiful bloody nose deadlifting session!!!👍👌👏💪😎
What always stops me is the first 10 inches. Once the weight is in motion I feel like I can handle it, it is just the first 10 inches. Why?
The outset of the movement can really set the stage. If you feel off at the start, it isn't likely to improve as you go.
This video made my back hurt.
Power level .... it’s OVER 9000.....🐲🎱
Szatgeata .....unconcerned
Awesome stuff, thanks for the info!!
thanks for watching
Thanks for checking it out Matthew!
@@BradArbic I'm chasing 400 this year instead of 7.... But I still loved all your ques. Thanks!!
@@matthewneufeld8153 400 for now...! Stay hungry brother
OUTFUCKINGSTANDING!!!
Thanks Thomas!
Awesome strength
Thank you KwRG!
what is your lifting playlist? its freaking sweet.
You gotta tank really hard with your lower back mostly
That’s what UA-camrs taught me at least
I wish there was a gym in my town that would play music like that :(
Hi Joey, best cue for hips shooting up?
I like the blue spray paint on those plates - what color is that? (The baby blue) - thx !!!
NOSEBLEEDS! = the baptism of blood for a true strongman dead lifter! Coach Joe is baptized in blood now!
3:28 5:22 6:30
nose bleed with only 635? C'mon Joe.....
I also think you could better your pull with working on that speed, a lot of those were slow. Be explosive. No doubt you'll get 800!
I’m a weak little bitch I know
@szat Strength we need that playlist link!!
Its a good thing you pointed out the nose bleed in the thumbnail, otherwise I would have assumed it was tomato sauce.
Thanks guys
welcome!
Thanks George, glad you like it.
11:46 answered my question lol
Glad we beat you to the punch. Thanks for checking it out James.
Chill out with androl bro
How did you build those quads dude? They’re insane
Lots of squatting
@@SzatStrength lots of squatting... that’s exactly what I don’t want to do 😭😂 just kidding, thanks for the reply bro
Glad to watch you increase your Deadnoselift.. oh wait! lol
Next year Joe is coming out with his new brand of Deadlifting blood red lipstick.
Have a promo code for that lipstick?
Would axel deadlift work as a good variant in a strength program?
Saul, it could but you'd have to have a reason to do it. An axel bar is just a thicker bar. It's biggest effect would be on grip (presuming you arent using straps). If you use straps then there isn't much real training effect from the axel bar. Does that make sense?
@@BradArbic totally makes sense I just started training strongman style in my 30s for fun. Really only started doing strength programs a few weeks ago so I'm in the newbie phase. Was thinking axel would be a good variant since I mostly shoulder press and deadlift.
@@saulrothman444 it can add value. You just have to make sure you're using it in the right way is all.
Wait did brad pull 635 double overhand??
i think it was hookgrip
I was just practicing with my hook grip. I don't do rep work with it, but I'll hit some heavier singles
@@BradArbic still man holding that much in your bare hands is insane. On monday I pulled 315 double overhand with a messed up hand and was impressed with myself lol. Your pulls are amazing
@@user-zb3lr3ke4f Too kind. I appreciate you T. I hope your hand gets better soon
But, who's glutes is Joey squeezing? The mystery may never be solved.
do you know da wae?
Only animals in that gym
