Have you heard of the new map mod that's pretty much a dream come true for many Tarkov players?
It's called Dynamic Maps and that's what I'm here for today:

Having already been cool from the start, it's recently been updated to become even easier and more informative to use. Use the new Overlay hotkey to display a map for your raid at any time.

this is the mod I've been waiting for for years
I've been introducing a new player to Tarkov through SP/Fika. This is basically a must for him until he learns call outs and locations. So helpful.

Omg this is going to become a NECESSARY mod for SPT. It would be nice to see a full video reviewing this mod, ie its usage throughout a full raid.

Good mod, I played with it lately and it helped me extract from labs. I belive this should be a online feature, easy to make it work - use vanilla tarkov map item for this to work without showing your location, itroduce new GPS item to track your location and work standalone without map item.
True. It would be cool if more or less things showed on the map depending if you have a standard paper map or a GPS like it is in Unturned

havent survived a single raid in this game yet- loving it...
cause I actually die by good ai movement or me thinking its og game ai... theres campers, questers, snipers, chads, passive ai everything inbetween
I know, right? With each update to SAIN, the bots become more proficient!
One thing i noticed when booting up gray zone warfare was how player friendly it was compared to tarkov, i think tarkov needs this in the normal branch of the game. It helps new players catch up to the people who to this day continue to no life this game. Map knowledge shouldnt be homework it should be accessible in game somehow, loot locations and stuff can be left out but a map needs to be there and not the shitty maps in the vanilla game already that cost in game money to not tell you where anything important is like extracts.
Very cool mod thanks for sharing, i'll have to use it later when i update from 3.8.1 :) I took a long tarkov break so i know my original maps by heart but i'm lost on everything else that came out during the break like reserve, streets, lighthouse and the wood extension, so i got the ingame compass mod that pop up extracts and quest items that feel immersive as well but the full map could pair with the compass mod i think as if i need more exact details on the road to take rather than a direction !
I have all areas on all maps memorized but this is good for newbies.
I forget spots on the maps, especially Lighthouse and Reserve, all the time still.
If I were exclusively playing SPT, I'd probably have neighborhood memory of it, but there are too many PS1 shootemups to run.
A great mod indeed! But if you want the true experience turn off showing the bots and your own position. But it's a great tool for studying the behaviour of the bots from a map perspective.
I have learned the maps by visualising my position in relation to the layout of the map, and it's really cool to recognize your position as you progress.
Then again that's just my preference! But it's really handy that you can access the map in raid.

The actual real full stream experience combines Dynamic Maps with the Game Panel HUD, Accurate Circle Radar, and BotMonitor for AWACS-level intel in-raid!

Oh wow that's great. I was using one that sent the position to a browser window but this is so much better.
So was I and that is still a very good mod, with a different selection of maps and icons.
Which is that? Because I wouldn't mind comparing a “Screen 2” or iPad map vs this overlay.

If you haven't already, would you consider doing a mod about the interaction between SAIN and That'sLit? I've been struggling to key those against one another.

I actually don't use That's Lit anymore, especially since the last SAIN update.
I haven't had the need for it and keep it out for performance anyway.
Also, I don't know how I would monitor what's going on between the two mods, That's Lit seems to use very specific mechanics.
@@thestarvox That's really interesting - I didn't know SAIN started to implement some of what That'sLit does. That's really good to know since my performance has been mehhhhh on GZ/Streets (and even a bit on Lighthouse) for a while now)
I wouldn't say that it's carrying out the exact same checks, but AI behavior is becoming so robust that I haven't noticed if there's a problem with them being able to see through dark or shadow. I get lots of comments about it and have ever since I featured it months ago in videos, so I may install it again at some point to demonstrate again.
@@thestarvox The part of it that I'm most interested in the feature of being able to blind AI briefly with flashlights. Which, since their flashlights blind me, it's only fair.
That's also part of SAIN, it has a menu in the F6 GUI.

Great mod even though I don’t want to know where bots are. That ruins the thrill of the game for me. But for learning maps and customising mods that spawn ai it would be great. How bad is the impact on FPS? I am already on 70 on the bigger maps sometimes with default donuts (life like) and hard cap and despawning enabled.
Oh I don't think there will be much impact on performance with this.
The developer states that the maps are deliberately low resolution to use fewer resources.
Makes the map tab actually useful
The guy who created this is a true god... knowing the maps is the most difficult thing in Tarkov
Hello, is there a way to change the weather to early spring ?
I think that the Weather Changer has been updated, but I haven't used it since installing Raid Overhaul so I don't know.
Is there a good mod that’s either independent or included in another mod that allows me to pause the game in case I gotta answer the phone?
Looks like "Props Pause" is good to go on 3.8.x

Occasionally glitches but usually just freezes everything.
Dammit I was trying to just hold out and keep progressing without updating stuff, looks like that won't be happening 😭
It's always a good idea to update and it's usually easy - you can even migrate your profile to keep progress.

@@thestarvox I was having a couple raids with no pmcs, I think it was one of the starting pmcs only presets that was causing it, just not using it now and it seems to be good. But now PackNStrap is giving me problems smh

How to install?
It's real easy, just check out the website for information.
I will say this, for testing mods, it is fun to either have a radar or this, but it does ruin fun, i played forever with radar, and even with that i still sucked. I got rid of it, and WOW it was a complete diff game, you dont get the full experience with those things. So beware.
I feel like having the map with people marked all time ruins a lot of the vibe, maybe if it was a map you can look and compare with landmarks you see is a better option
Tarkov is completely fucked but spt is still amazing
