    Designer's notes:
"Agile, smooth on the brakes and fast, here comes the Volt 5! Its predecessor revolutionized the world of EN-Cs by introducing the two-line construction in this category. The new Volt 5 continues to be at the forefront with, in particular, improved performance at top-end-speed. A true EN-C 2-liner for kilometer hunters, hike-and-fly athletes and every pilot looking for a high-performance but accessible 2-liner while keeping a light kit."
    What’s new?
"The Volt 4 being the first of its kind, AirDesign didn’t really have a benchmark at the time of its launch. Now, the market has grown and so have their knowledge and their know-how! Compared to its predecessor, the Volt 5 has gained performance at full speed and has significantly improved the floating in lifting air. Its ability to sniff out thermals will leave you astounded! Last but not least, it is now built in double-coated Dominico DOKDO-10DSF for top and bottom surfaces, a Superlight construction made to last!"

Do you think the Volt 5 is similar to the Omega ULS and they are all in the same category? Also, which one do you prefer between them?
i like all your review. thanks a lot .

Thanks for a very informative video. It surprises me a bit that AD has not managed (?) to match the first generation top EN C 2 liners with this second generation wing. Of course it could be a strategy behind this. AD may want to stay among the less demanding EN C 2 liners. Be an exellent choise for pilots new to the EN C class. And those are many!

This volt 5 is a joke i dont see enough difference between the previous version to make sense.
The paragliding industry is totally sick by updating wing every 1/2 year .
    It is what it is.
    I guess.

What difference would you expect to see?
By the reviews, it seems like the behavior and "personality" of the glider are entirely different than the predecessor.

@@Sinking_Sam in my view point it doesn't have enough to make it difference the performance is more or less the same and the safety similar.
For shure there is difference on the feeling (thankfully if not it's totally the same) but is it enough to make it as a new gliders. For shure for some people it's ok to have a gliders that is different because they changed the triming to remove the small defect of the previous version . But in the car industry they call it second stage and not a new car .
Btw I'm not an owner of volt 4 or 5 but I have tried both. And I think having the 4 or the 5 seems to be the same deal . May be better to get the 4 in second hands it will cost less for shure.

@@anto2699 I suspect that in this case it is a matter of the EN/LTF certification threshold. If the changes are enough that it required recertification then the company would definitely want to market it as a new glider, even if just to justify the cost. New colours, a minor material change that doesn't alter the dimensions or the trim.... maybe not so much. I think the car comparison would be when the change is enough that they have to redo NCAP it is a new model. When they just change the headlights and update the interior its a facelift.

That's surely true. I hope so I guess.
Or it Can also be a marketing method to make people buy more
