Great vid, just started doing it and I feel way less tired during the day already, it’s also amazing how much you look forward to your evening meal and how much better it feels like your body absorbs food because it’s had some real time to rest in between meals. The only struggle is I’m extremely active, I’m out mountain biking or hiking all day sometimes and it feels difficult to get enough calories in on a morning to see me through the whole day. Stopping exercising earlier and having an earlier dinner seems preferable to eating midday then resuming exercise as I feel a huge dip in energy and concentration after, which can and has lead to me having some bad crashes when I’m out riding. I’d rather have a shorter day riding with more focus, energy and clarity, than a long day with a lunch break where I’m tired and under performing for the second half of it.

nothing wrong with doing snacks during the day if you are particularly active. Dried meats, cheeses, dried fruits, yogurt and so on. I do this to fuel my late afternoon workouts. Works great. No snacks on days im not super active though. Seems to be a great rhythm for me at least.

After. I can't say this is what is maximally good for muscle growth, however what I do is massive brunch. at 10. snack on workout days before the gym at 3-4 and dinner around 5:30. Protein shake before bed. Total daily protein, is more important than timing. Timing is something only worth worrying about if you are competitive.

Interesting. I found that eating 16/8 intermittent fasting, I was still having that afternoon slump. It was even bigger because of the giant amount of food I ate. I eat 3-4 meals a day now and get a very minimal afternoon slump. I do this because of the downsides of fasting:
    - increased stress hormones because of lack of glucose
    - decrease in lean mass (cuz of stress) or very hard to gain
    - feel very slow after cramming down a massive meal
I think what your saying makes some sense. I could see how eating 2 meals but not in a 16/8 fashion and more of a breakfast and dinner style could work. But I think you still need to bridge the gap between the 2 meals with some sort of glucose fuel or else there will come a point where your body runs on stress hormones. If you can time the glucose spikes right and avoid the crash by adding fats to slow digestion, you can mitigate this effect.

Tribes on colder climates ate primarily meat with a lower frequency while on hotter climates there was a tendency to consume more vegetables with higher frequency. Of course there's everything in between as well. Society is a very recent phenomenon, and it doesn't have as much has an impact as we think.
