I see your video is 8 years old but it is still very relevent, especially the part about the retractable front belts.Thank you.
Brians right about being screwed if you strip the head of the bolt. However, he didn't mention that if you heat the bolt with a propane torch they are easier to get out. Plus if you strip the inside of the head, what I have done is take a dremel tool and cutoff disc, cut the edge of it on both side to make it flat on each side. That way one can get vise grips on them.

I was going to tackle this today. My Torx T-50 is too big and the T-47 is way too loose. Apparently there's no T-48 or T-49 that's made, correct??
I am replacing my 85 El Camino seatbelts with new ones. How do I wire them up to make the fasten belts light go off? I don’t believe my new ones have a place to hook the wire up. Thanks!

Are all g body seat belt receivers the same i have a 79 Malibu with factory buckets
There are 2 different styles. One has an chrome housing and the other has a colored plastic housing. They do not interchange.
Any links on what seatbelts work with the 78-80 G body?
on the back of the belt is a big R and on the other a L. but if I put the one with the L on the left side and the one with the R on the right side the release lever is to long. If I switsch them from left to right it seems oke. Are the R and L on the back useless?
Drivers side is LEFT and passenger side is RIGHT so make sure you understand that. Some think it is the other way around.
So mine retracts hard when the door is open. But with it closed, if I lean forward even a little bit it becomes loose and won't tighten no matter what I do until I open the door. Thoughts?
Close the door, put your belt on and when it gets loose, give it a tug and release and it will snap back.

Have you made or will you ever make a video on how to remove the upper and lower rear seat cushions? I have an 82 Olds Cutlass Calais and for as long as I've been working on it I've never been able to figure that out. It would really make running wires a lot easier if I knew how to do this.
I get the feeling that whoever did the upholstery in my 79 Monte Carlo installed the plastic seatbelt guides on the top of the front seats backwards. Got a pic/video?

Rear outer seat belt bolts? They aren't shouldered so I can just use grade 8 hardware, if only I knew what size they were...

My bolts were rounded out, I just welded rebar to the bolt and loosened it
