      I've recently joined.
My current salary hovers around 55k
      After 12th settlement it'll be 65k.
And beleive me the work pressure is pathetic.
According to the work pressure, even 1 lakh per month is not sufficient.
Now when I'm an insider, daily I get news about various bank officials committing suicide every other day.

And if you're planning to join then let me tell me you they'll post in some remote location, you'll have to come at 9:30-9:45 in the morning and if you'll be lucky then you'll leave bank at 7:30, otherwise normally you'll get to leave at 8-8:30 and sometimes even 10-11 pm.
You'll get only 1 leave per month for an year and that you you'll be pressurized not to take.
You'll be asked to sell third party products, no matter you know the local language or not, if you'll fail to do so , then you'll be shamed and they'll.
Your manager and deputy branch head will use you as a scapegoat for everything.
You'll be an easy target for everyone starting from Deputy branch head , branch head, HR, Deputy regional head, regional head.
Bank will ask you to come even on sundays sometimes.
They'll use you as a salesboy.
They'll assign you 4-5 tasks at once and expect you to do them all at once.
If a customer comes bombarding the manager's cabin, then manager will ask you to answer the customer, and you'll be just standing there, no matter you understand his language, no matter you have no context whatsoever about the his grievance.
      Forget about work life balance
There will be no life, you'll have no time to do anything.
You'll just come home late at night, eat and sleep.
You might be thinking that I'm over exaggerating, but this is the case with most of us, 90%+ chance is there that you'll face the same things, intensity may vary, but the crux will be same
Many people who joined with me this have already resigned without any backup plan whatsoever .
I won't say that Don't join bank as an officer, ofcourse everyone have their own reasons.
But I'll suggest you to choose banking job as last resort.
