I did same. public sector banking industry is not worthy at all now. Am happy u r putting this on social media for awareness. Thoae who r really passionate pls never join banking. You will be at much better place. Give yourself some time, try consulting if u have knowledge of credit appraisal and review. It is by far the best career option right now for ex-bankers (with knowledge and skill)
i am bit confused............. i have tried almost everything.. from doing jobs at corporate, preparing for govt exams, handling business, taking admission in professional vourse(as this is time taking , it would take 3-5 years to complete my professional degree and then earn ) ... and now i am thinking to join icici po program so that i can start me career ....
I am also working as Phone banking officer in ICICI Bank from 1year Or mujhe apni job bilkul pasand nahi hai... bohot hectic job hai 9 ghante 36 minte ki login dena hota hai... lagatar calls aate hai or customer bhi acce nahi hote bohot mental presure hai par majburi hai me job nahi chod sakta
With no disrespect to any bank, whatsoever, most of the roles that one gets in branch banking are sales job, directly or indirectly. Either you go to the field or you lead a team of 4-5, in the branch and do cold calls and try to achieve sales targets. If you don't like sales , it is absolutely bad to go for banking sector Even the PSUs. Core finance roles are very limited and difficult to get. There is very little work life balance in branch banking. That's the hard truth. From an MBA finance.

I wanted to ask if you ever felt that you should have chosen HR as a specialisation during mba and led a peaceful life compromising for a less salary? or was HR not worth pursuing in your college due to lack of placements? or people placed in HR also lead a hectic life and are unhappy?. Please do reply as i have watched 90% of your videos
In HR I believe there are less openings and opportunities to switch….. I don’t know how true it is on the ground level …but this was the perception I was holding

Nahi wo aisa pgdm degree hai ki aap usse bank k alawa kahin use ni kar skte. IT, production etc etc kahin b nahi as per my experience. Baaki khud b aap research karlo. Ye sb ka value sirf private banks tak hai.
