- I finally get the tuning sorted and go out for a decent ride. Tuning is very good now, starts, idles and runs well. Now I just need to check its reliability over longer rides. The emblems took ages to find, but definitely worth the hassle and money

Gday, great to see you back, the bike sounds great, you really did a great job, there was some beautiful vintage bikes at the show, thanks for sharing mate, cheers
Thanks Matty,
Ahh, What a sound that has , MUSIC TO MY EARS !! Dad's been gone for 2 years now , Brings back memories of his bike ! I sold mine as I could not ride any longer with the UC disease I have .. ENJOYED !!
Hey Shawn, sorry about your dad. I know the feeling. Memories last forever, agree the sound is better than music. I just love the sound you can get out of a 4 cylinder bike with the right exhaust....
@@Mezzmoengineering Thanks man ! we loved to ride every chance we got . I still have a few bikes in my back yard , Should get them out this summer a get them going.
Looks and sounds amazing!
We need a video where you show off the finished product now. You haven't posted much of the bike fully assembled for us to appreciate. Thanks.
Fair call, I'll aim to do that
Sounds pretty healthy Mezz and love your riding buddy's RD400C too

@@Mezzmoengineering thank you buddy for reply
Great work Mezz, I followed your carby videos back last year to help with the rebuild on my XJ900F, great to finally see the bike out and about mate, let me know if you're ever in VIC ;) would love to go for a ride mate!
Sounds good, thanks mate
Watched them all! Bike turned out great. Was that a RD400 you were riding with? My first bike oh so many years ago was a 1967 YR1, then a new 1975 RD350B, then a new 1978 XS1100 then a 1979 XS1100, Then another (Recent) 1967 YR1, SR250G, XJ650J which is only one left. Old age has kicked in so will be letting the 650 go very soon. Prob will not ride any longer. Too many crazy drivers on the road here in Arizona.
Hi mate, yep, that's an RD400 that one of my good friends owns. Crazy drivers here is Aussie land too, and some crazy animals around here as well. Got to be careful that's for sure
Hi there, impressive build, thanks for documenting the process. Did you have to get this engineered for registration? Was the process hard?
Nice RD400
Hi , you have amazing bike, a lot of work and love gone into it I've also have a xj650 that iam trying to get it back to its glory, can I ask you a question where can I get a 4 into 2 exhaust system or did
you manufacture one yourself, is there a company that can build one for me. Great appreciation if you can help me.
Thanks mate, I made the exhaust myself. If you look through my playlist on this build you can see how I did it.
Hey m working on my xj 750 Yamaha maxium it's a 82 model
I'm looking for the over size piston but not getting true was hoping u can help me out like where can I get them along with the over size gasket too
Hi mate, I purchased mine privately. Not sure these over sized sets are made anymore. I think its just a matter of searching online to see what you can find, eg Ebay, etc
Boy! Them Aussie roads are narrow! How did the gear selector on your speedo work out? Was it accurate? The engine sounds awesome!
Hi mate, yep, roads can be a bit dodgy at times. Gear selected on speedo works great, was one of the main things I liked before buying it.
WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!!!
Hi MAte3, been very busy behind the scenes getting plans to build my own workshop and make this my main focus, all will be revealed soon
woo
How is handling with the 900 wheels?
Hi mate, feels great. Didn't really ride it as stock but no doubt the brakes are much better now too. I think its important to have a matched set of brakes, eg both front and rear set up like XJ900
Top speed mowzuki run?
LOL, I love your persistence
Hectic
