So the monitor bezels would be on the top and make where the monitors touch have less of a bezel
Since this isn't a proper long-term build, it would probably cause more technical issues than it would be worth.

Unfortunately, aliasing can happen at any resolution. And to make things worse, it can even happen where it did not before at lower res. But overall it will be lesser of issue. But it won't disappear entirely.

TheXanger Just because I'm watching something that is recorded in a higher resolution than my display can natively handle doesn't mean much.
Essentially it's like playing a game with DSR or shooting pictures in RAW, you have more data to work with. The more data you have to work with the better the image quality and the better the viewing experience.
Keep in mind that small resolutions on big screens are bad but large resolutions on small screens aren't.
A Player 69 I agree that such high resolution displays in cell phones is silly, especially since the display is so small anyway. It makes more sense to use high res displays in things like tablets and laptops, though not much more sense.

Your brain filters out the black bars. It's like your nose, that you have to breathe, etc. Your brain "ignores" information that it doesn't need.
Here's an experiment:
Pick a spot, lock your eyes on that spot, do not move them, and blink as little as possible.
After about 20-40 seconds, little "twitches" start happening. Each time one happens, quickly return your eye to the point you were staring at before.
As you stare at this point, move your attention away from it, but do not move your eyes. Move your attention to objects in your field of view. They will start disappearing from your vision.
This is because they are unchanging, and your brain doesn't need to constantly take in information about them, so it just ignores them (simplification)

The sticker on the top left monitor is bugging the crap out of me...
Not only that, but it looks like the bottom bezel is fairly thick compared to the bottom bezel. He should have mounte d the top displays upside down and flipped the displays in Windows. Smallter "crosshair" effect. Probably can flip the logos too, to make them look "right" :-}

in 2 years, maybe SLI titans will be able to handle 2018 games at 8K
to get that down to a single card, performance will have to increase 70% (Assuming imperfect SLI scaling)
Let's assume that takes 3 years.
In 5 years, the top of the line titan will be good enough for 8K 60FPS on 2015 titles.
in 9-10 years, maybe a budget 200$ card will be good enough for 2013 games at 8K 60 FPS
but nobody will want to play 12 year old games at 8K, it will take WAY longer than 10 years for budget GPUs to be able to play at 8K. maybe like 18 years, and in that timeframe, who knows what will happen.
I wish I could live for 10 years more :/

no i was thinking the same thing. flip the top two and have the bigger part of the bezels on the outside of the whole setup. they fit with standard vesa probably 200mm so its pretty much a square.
the test was really just for the 8k testing. just for fun

What you can do next time ("next time") is run nine 2560×1440 in a 3×3 setup instead, that will give you the same 8K resolution without blocking the crosshairs, which will be in the center of the center display :)
Good luck connecting them though, not to mention finding a stand :) You can try using DisplayPort daisy-chaining maybe, you can do 2 monitors from each DP port with DP 1.2 (three on a port with DP 1.3/1.4, but DP 1.3+ daisy-chainable monitors don't exist yet).

Linus, you can invert the top two monitors, so that the bezel would be much thinner. After inverting, u can select "Landscape-flipped' option for those two displays.
And now one GPU can handle 8k. Incredible how time flies.

It does and it will always look better on one big screen. I can still see the seam in framless monitors, the monitors still cut and stretch details in the gaps, no matter how hairline. I will ALWAYS want one big monitor over several mashed together.

On a 27 inch screen hahaha LOL fail. pixel density beyond a certain point is pointless unless you just need to be unable to see pixels even with a microscope. Assuing your eyes are 2-3 feet from the screen even 1080p works well enough on 27 inches. a 2k resolution is probably ideal since 1080p is best suited for 24 inch screens.
