I generally don’t comment on UA-cam videos, but I just needed to say that this was the best video I’ve seen in quite some time. While I think the content is great, it has more to do with your style than the content. Your conversational style is mesmerizing and it feels like we’re sitting around just shooting the breeze, and I really appreciate that! Have a great day and thank you for your service!
Thanks for the positive feedback!
I just read your comment again. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the kind words!
He took the words right outta my mouth. Awesome as always Cue 🙏
@@timhenry6403 thank you!
I totally agree. Great video. I just subscribed last week.
Glad I landed here. This dude is obviously a fellow Navy man. Beautiful bike brother!
I was in the Navy for 6 years. Had enough....got out....then I learned that the Navy wasn't so bad after all! I am glad that I served and wish I had been more mature and stayed in.
@@RidingandWrenching well thank you for your service! And keep up the good content. Ride safe! 🍺
Just started following you Brother and I must say it is one of the best videos I've seen. Very Authentic and informative. Keep doing what you do.
Thank you! I appreciate the the feedback
Nice work. Good to see an honest review of the things you would have done differently. The learning process and buying the wrong things for your bike can be expensive lessons.
You got that right! That was not a complete list either! I've got several parts in my garage that are collecting dust
Thanks for the insight. Great video, Cue!
Thank you for sharing, very helpful!
GREAT PROGRAM, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE BROTHER
Man, Spoken like a sailor! Soul bearing and on point! Thank you for your advice! And as always Go Navy!
Thank you sir! I assume you're a Navy man yourself?
You just earned another subscriber I’ve seen a couple of your videos in the past and your consistent clarity of communication makes your channel one of the better ones out there plus being a Navy guy myself how can I not follow you! As far as regrets, I have a 2017 road glide ultra and I did a stage 4 kit on it right out of the gate. I previously had a 2005 softail springer classic and I had always regretted not doing a big bore kit and cam in it so this time around I wanted to get it all done straight away. Unfortunately I would’ve been better served had I waited. These new M8 engines really respond to a cam upgrade and people who do exhaust, intake and cam chest upgrade especially in the early year model bikes perform very well. Their bikes make just about as much power as mine does and if they were able to replace the cam plate and oil pump, they avoided the oil sumping that I experienced, but was fortunate enough to have it happened before my warranty expired. My understanding is that they’re on several further revisions on the pump, so it still leaves a question in my mind about the dependability of my bike so eventually, I’ll end up upgrading both of those parts, and possibly even the cam again at that point, keep up the great work and go Navy!
Thanks for watching! I literally just upgraded the oil pump, cam, headers on my 2018. There is abt 20% increase in power that is very noticeable. I won't be blowing the doors off any muscle baggers, but my bike has plenty of power. I should have added this to the list.....this thing is LOUD! I need to do something to mellow out the exhaust a little bit.
Thanks for your service! GO NAVY!!
Great video and discussion points. So far I've yet to do a wheel upgrade on my 17SGS( I kinda want to though) or paint matched inner. Now that I've had FOX racing suspension I do them on all my bikes.
For the most part we've done similar upgrades, and the red stitching on my custom seat has faded as well.
I'm not changing the wheels on my Street Glide (which is the same thing I said about the Road Glide). I've had a few good suggestions in the comments of this video about addressing the stitching. I'll try them out and post an update soon
That was a great video! I just recently found your channel and I have subscribed!!! You are a very good presenter and clearly make your point. I have seen a couple videos of yours recently and will be looking for others. Much love from Canada. I have a 2018 Kawasaki Voyager 1700, someday I might be able to afford the real thing but for now my ride gets the job done. Keep the shiny side up my friend! Scott
Thank you for the kind words!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on mistakes made on your bike. Ride safe and enjoy. ✌️👊👍
Let's see your mistakes too!
For me the exhaust, and seat are immediate. I actually love the factory bars. The suspension would be low on my list to be honest, but I could see why someone would maybe want to change them. I tried with and without the heel shifter, and after 12 years, the heel shifter stays. I don't trust others to cut my bags, however I can't cut up a pristine piece just because I want a little more sound.
My biggest was on my last bike, 2009 FLHT. I went with a 21 inch upfront and used the HD 1 inch lowering fork spring kit account for the lift. Bike felt unstable for years at high speeds. Then I bought legends fork cartridges specifically for 21 inch wheels. It was an amazing upgrade. Still mad at myself for not upgrading the forks sooner.
I've heard that lowering kits tend to make bikes unstable. I actually added height to my street glide with Ohlins rear shocks. It's was scrapping the kick stand on every sharp left turn
Great video,I love my stock tires,I have a 03 Heritage Softail Classic 100 year Anniversary bike,it has the fatter tires and I love it,it has 30,000 miles and it still has the stock seat,I’m about to change that out, getting a little worn out, everything else I’m really happy with! Again, thanks for the video.Ride Safe my Brothers and Sisters!!
I replaced my seat somewhere around 30-40k miles. I have since recovered it...which is the seat that has the faded stitching now. I've received some good ideas from comments on this video, so I'm going to test some of them out to see if they can help with the fading
Thanks for sharing your insight.
Did the Wilbur, game changer ! Loving my heel shifter. Won't do speakers in the Lids, no leaks, but no sound. Stock bars and seat. 21" front wheel just looks great, gotta do it. 21 streetglide . Thank you gor the great video, I like the casual delivery.
If you only do one upgrade, get a seat! You can thank me later!
Thank you, great info
When I got my ‘22 Road King, I was a bit upset that it didn’t have a heel shifter. My previous bike had one. But like you I found the extra room on the footboard was nice. I can slide both feet back with just my toes on the back of the boards. It’s nice to have that extra foot position when on a long ride.
Exactly!!! When I got my street glide, I was pissed that it didn't have a heel shifter. I actually bought it but never installed it. Then when I would get on my Road Glide I felt like my foot was in prison! I still have a new in box heel shifter for the street glide. I'll sell it eventually
I love my hall shifter. It keeps your boys from getting scuffed up. And on long rides. My feet are on highway pegs. That's just me. No two people will set their's up the same.
I have always said I don't want a soud system on a motorcycle. Even when I had an Ultra for my previous bike, I never used it. My favorite "radio" stations have been Twincam 88, Indian 111, Evo 80, and I am currently listening to Twincam 103 on my current ride.
Thank You for your service.
I appreciate that!
First time to the channel and great stuff. Always been on the bubble on the speakers. Have a 21 RGL and have legends all the way around. Ride safe
Don't hesitate on the speakers! They are awesome. Reach out to Volunteer Audio. They will take care of you
Quality content 👌
Thanx man!!!
The bike looks great!
I bought a 05 Road King Custom FLHRSI with a 21" up front. Chrome spokes/rim, black tank, chrome headlight housing found on Road Kings!
Sometimes if I hit a pothole, the f. fender will crash up to the lower triple -tree, no dents yet, but I feel a dented fender, coming due to the taller 21" wheel!
Thanks! I haven't had any issues yet. From what I've read, the largest tire I can go to is a 21" so hopefully I won't have any issues
Great video! oh.. thank you for your service!!!!
Thank you!
Great info I can use, thank you
Thank you for watching!
Informative video. First time viewer. I love my heel shifter. Ride safe Sir!
Same to you sir!
Great, my 2014 Citadel has load leveling shocks, however, on my adventure bike I have to set the preload on the rear spring when is loaded with luggage and camping gear. .
This is my first experience with them on a motorcycle....they are amazing!!!
Good video Cue. I remember you mentioning you like a stock bike and wheels…in OC 2021. though they made be 10 LBS heavier…they look fresh bro.
I love the look...honestly, I don't "feel" the weight, but I know it has a negative impact.
Completely agree on the suspension. It was a must for me after traveling through Louisiana and their craptastic roads. I went to Wilbur’s and love it. No adjustments, all self leveling.
Craptastic😂😂😂you could have been talking about Memphis. Actually Detroit has the worst roads I have seen. Wilber's is incredible. I have Ohlins on my Street Glide. It's nice, but you have to adjust it if I have a passenger
@@RidingandWrenching I’m originally from Indiana and the Winters just tear them roads up. I looked at Ohlin’s but after watching the Million Dollar Bogan put thousands of off road miles on his Wilbur’s, I just figured I’ll never go through that kind of torture and therefore couldn’t go wrong. Plus less thinking for me on adjustment, and that’s always a good thing. 😆
Hey Cue, we all do things to our bikes that we say we shouldn't have, this is why the only thing I did on my 19 SGS other than upgrade lighting, rockford fosgate fairing replacemet speakers no flashing of radio nor an amp they sound awesome, was a stage 1, I always talk with people how they feel or like what they install on their rides and its about 50/50 so what I do is just make it my ride. Great video stay safe!
Exactly! I could probably list everything I've done to my bike as something I'd never do....I vowed to keep it stock😂
I wish I'd not gotten the Cross Stitched seat as well. I got the heated one and couldn't imagine getting water in it. I have to put the cover on to wash the bike and never leave it in the rain with out the covers either. I have been using a great leather cleaner and conditioner and so far no thread fading. Thanks for sharing your list, honest and refreshing. Most people have purchase affirmation syndrome and are 100% sure that w/e it is they bought is the best thing ever and they have no regrets...lol. It's OK to maybe change your mind and see things different after owning it for while.
I have no shame in discussing mistakes! Sometimes I end up liking the "mistake" anyway or finding a way to deal with it.....like my seat. It is VERY comfortable (when it's dry!) I purchased the rain cover for washing the bike and when I get stuck riding in the rain. I have received some good suggestions for addressing the fading threads, so I'll try them at some point
I felt the same about the heel shifter as well now I’m used to it now
Great video
Thanks bro!
Cue, Please talk about your Mustang. I can't be the only one drooling over that beauty.
It's coming!
@@RidingandWrenching I enjoy your channel and the people you meet on your riding trips
Thanks for the contribution! I've got to try and start the Mustang! It's been sitting for a while! But I will work on that video in the next few weeks. Thanks for your support!
I’ve added extended brake lever and extended heel shifter. Solves the room issue and is more comfortable. By the way great video, I’m subbed.
I keep hearing about the extended brake lever. I need to look into that. Great suggestion!
Just found this channel-- and very much enjoyed this video.
Subscribed, and clicked the bell😎.
Thank you!
Great video.
Its call rotating mass (I believe) for the new wheels added.
P.S. I like the inner faring color, RED may have been to much RED and w/the tank option you mentioned, good choice and should bring it together.
Exactly! I think the tank console will make it look really nice. There is zero chance that I redo that job...it's a lot of work changing the inner fairing
Good video. Thanks for the advice.
Thanks for watching!
I'm a new subscriber. Looking for more relevant and useful content. Really enjoy your delivery. Keep up the excellent work.
Thank you!
Great video Mike!!
Thanks Rob!
Thanks for sharing! BIG shout out to Tim from @RidgeLife for bringing me here!
Thank you sir!
If you like the room on the floorboard and like using a heel shifter, you should look into the Paul Yaffe Stealth Heel Shifter. i'll always have one on my bike from here on out.
I'll have to check it out!
Just found your channel! This is my first video! Good stuff! ✊🏾
Thanks for watching!
Great information Sir
Great info. Never heard of Wilbers suspension. I’ll check them out.
Wilbers is very impressive. I wish I had done this upgrade sooner.
Nice Video Q! I see your channel has grown! I need to link up with you guys soon. This is Rich in Arkansas with the CVO, BTW.
Thanks Rich! We have to go riding sometime! Hit me up!
I have to say that bike is my dream bike, I love that red color, what looks like only black Chrome and no silver chrome, extended handlebars, that bike is just gorgeous, my goal is to upgrade to a bagger like this in a couple of years, if I came home with this exact bike I would not be disappointed, I literally just got a stitched new seat for my bike, a Dyna Street Bob, I never thought of water getting in there though, I might have to pay attention to that and possibly get a cover for it, thanks for pointing that out
Thank you for your clear, unbiased report...... New subscriber here!
Thanks you!
Great video. I love when I can watch a youtube motorcycle content with my kids closeby and not have to worry about insulting or disresprectul language
I appreciate you saying that. I am very deliberate about ensuring that my channel is kid friendly. I remove any "slip ups" in editing!
New subscriber. Will buy my street glide special after the next changes are made from Harley. Nice collection you have and thanks for your service.
Thank you! I can't wait to see the new Harley's! If the mark up isn't ridiculous, I might trade in the street glide
Hoorah Shipmate, new sub here. Great content idea, solid video, glad I found ya.
Thank you!
Great video. I’m not a Harley rider (BMW rider myself), but I was drawn by the Don’t Give Up The Ship banner. Go Navy!
Don't Give Up The Ship is one of my favorite sayings/cliche/naval story
Great video sir. I enjoy your presentation and content...
Love ya Brother!! The Don from Pittsburgh PA. US NAVY 1979-1981 🥰🥰
I'm glad UA-cam recommended your channel to me. You got some really great content, and I like the way you lay it out. You got a new subscriber.
I bought my 2000 Road Glide with a portion of the enlistment bonus the Marine Corps provided me with. To this date I have not changed a thing on it. I'll probably keep it forever, but I'm going to get a new bike this year.
First. Thank you for your service! Those who are on active duty deserve the greatest respect from all Americans.
Once you make the first upgrade....the bug will bite you! You'll change all sorts of things!
@@RidingandWrenching are the 14in handlebars on your Road Glide much more comfortable then the stock handlebars? Any add-on that you would recommend to relieve lower back strain? Thank you
2000? road glides been around that long?
@@stanmorton8975 yep, since 1998.
Good job thank you, keep up the good work.
Thank you!
Great video . Thank you
Thank you!
Love your garage! Fellow Sailor. Breeze in the knees.
Very good presentation and information. I do like how your mistakes were not that bad and "I like it". But, you're telling me you still have steel rims on that '66 Mustang. When I changed the wheels on my Mustangs ('65 & '66), it was like I installed power steering on them. I was amazed. As mentioned in other comments, your conversational style is great.
The 66 Mustang has 65 wheels. I won't count that as custom! I like them better than 66 wheels because they don't have the "beauty ring". Thanks for watching! I've got a video in the works for the Mustang...stay tuned!
Great video brother! I guess im forced to add creating my mistake video to the "Cue" (pun intended) 🤣
Better yet Chuck, why not do a video on 4 mistakes you think Cue made on his bike! Or you can just follow everyone else which is so blahzay blahzay. We're watching to see if you're a follower or a leader. 🙂
Good topic! 🤘🏾 👍🏾
found this video by accident, quickly became a subscriber. loved the video
Thanks! I really appreciate it!
I never change from stock size tires because while on the road it's easy to replace them in the event of damage. I never do saddle bag speakers because they do leak over time and I don't ride my Harley to listen to the dam radio or music.
21" wheels are standard on many CVO models so they shouldn't be hard to get. I understand your feelings about radio/music.
Have you looked at the Thrashin Supply heal shifter with the cut down shift peg? I put one on my 21 RGS and it is a huge difference with room to use the entire floorboard.
I'm so accustomed to not having a heel shifter, I don't think I'll ever have one again. However, I had to borrow one from a friend after I hurt my toes and was unable to upshift😳
I generally don’t watch click bait videos but after seeing it had 96k views in 3 weeks I had to see what the hype was about. I absolutely love it 😂😂😂
I try to be honest with my video titles. Some titles are more "click-baity" than others but they aren't deceptive. If a title is too generic (video #1) or too plan (My Upgrades) no one will watch it. I shoot for interesting and honest!
The other thing I will say....I am shocked that this video has almost 100k views. The response to this video has blown me away! I need to figure out why this video is so popular. It is my most viewed video.
Thanks for watching!
Great Video! Very Informative! Nice Rig! Ida Lee is looking good! Thank you sir! God Bless Be Safe!
Thanks for watching!
GREAT VIDEO..THANKS!!!
Thanks for watching!
Ok got it!
1) 21" Wheels...adds weight
2) Heel Shifter...more lean room
3) Saddle Speaker...leak if not quality
4) After Market Suspension...if you upgrade stock rims
Luv the channel Bro keep it up & burn rubber not your soul!!!!
You nailed it! I use to live in Chicago (in the suburbs)
Cue, consider adding an extended rear brake pedal. Either Kuryakyn or the SoftBrake unit will be another game-changer for your very good slow-speed skills. Great video.
You're the second person who has suggested that! I will look into it!
@@RidingandWrenching Made a world of difference for me being of age (😂) and limited ankle flexibility. Certainly will help with your new found love of slow-speed competition.
Yep, extended brake pedal, and extended heel shifter, never ever would I have a Harley without a heel shifter! It’s a dirt bike then.
When you were trying to think of what to say about the weight of the wheels, I think what you were looking for was 'unsprung weight'. It is the weight of the drivetrain that is under the suspension, not riding on it. Adding unsprung weight to your wheels isn't great because it now takes more effort to stop that wheel and more effort to start it as well. I think they look amazing and I doubt you notice it much. Just wanted to point that out. I love your bike! Nice video.
Thank you! I love the look of the wheels, but would have chosen lighter wheels if I had known prior to ordering. In terms of performance, I have not noticed a difference
My FLHTC came with a toe shifter, I couldn't get used to it on a big bike. And yes, after I added a heal shifter, I had no room for my big foot. So I replaced them with extended shift levers. All is right with the world.
I love having the room to move my foot around. I feel like my foot is in jail when I have a heal shifter
Great video. Beautiful bike and beautiful 66 mustang!!
I will never change to a larger wheel. I like the smoother ride of having more sidewall. I also hate heel shifters. Doesn't bother me at all to shift with my toe and I also prefer the extra room. I never listen to music, so I don't even need speakers. I have upgraded the suspension on my 2003 Goldwing and the difference is amazing. A seat is usually one of the best mods I make to my bike.
Taller sidewalls definitely make for a smoother ride. The Wilber's suspension has my bike riding smoother than it did with stock suspension/wheel combo. I assume it would ride better with Wilber's/stock wheels vs Wilber's/21" wheel.
Big ups Cue, I met you at Southern Thunder the other day. I really enjoy your content brother
It was nice to meet you! Those stunt riders had some skills!! I'd never treat my bike like that, but I I wish I had some of their skills
Great video! Go Navy! As a fellow Navy man myself, it's like having a trusted shipmate give you some good solid advice.
Much appreciated!!! Where did you serve? I was on the west coast (San Diego and Long Beach) FFG19 and a brief stint on a DDG
@@RidingandWrenching I'm still in. I'm almost at the finish line. I'm on year 19 this year. Mostly west coast. I served on USS Ingraham FFG-61 , USS Dewey DDG-105, Pre-commissioned USS Ralph Johnson DDG-114. I've been TAD on various ships as a trainer and as an air controller.
@@d.mar.2624 that's incredible! Thank you for your service! Best wishes on your future endeavors
@@RidingandWrenching do u know Black Dragon from Navy days ? 😅😅👍🚬🥃
@@garyny4073 no, Dragon was in the submarine Navy.
I ve always upgraded suspension after 30K miles....Never changed the Stock HD rider Seat until I started riding 2up again with my new Girl the passenger seat was uncomfortable for her...The HD TallBoy seat works great for her now....Also i never change out the Handlebars unless they get damaged from a crash or bent from a knock over....
The Tall Boy is a good seat. I have the Hammock (which has been reupholstered).
Nice video. I actually did the opposite. I rode for 8 years without a heel shifter and got tired of my left shoe always being scuffed up and discolored from the shift peg. I bought an extended heel shift lever from Kuryakyn and I'm happy with it. The shift peg is small but effective and it extends past the end of the floorboard so it doesn't take up much space.
Funny thing happened to me in Daytona....dropped my bike on my foot! Actually wasn't that funny, but it hurt like hell. Fortunately no broken bones, but I had to borrow the heal shifter from a friends bike so that I could keep riding! My foot is better now, so the heel shifter is gone (again)
I won't go back to not having one
@@RidingandWrenching2:14
Great video sir! And thank you for your service- I am a retired Army guy that is a Navy brat- if that makes sense.😊
Thanks for your service!
Keep up the great content
Great video, I never thought about the seat stitching taking on water, your bike does look good.
Thanks! This bike has a curious way of draining all the money out of my pocket!
@@RidingandWrenching ha, same with mine.
well done presentation - good job.~JDS/CT
Thanks!
I had the same problems with my KST Spearheads. Live and learn.
I can't install the little screws that hood the speedo housing in place! I still love the bars, but those little screws are useless
Great video. Yes, the added unsprung weight with the new wheels is of concern. YT finally gave me a great channel recommendation. First visit, and I’ll be back. BMW GS rider - USN retired.
Thanks for the feedback! Looks like a bass clef, do you play an instrument?
@@RidingandWrenching You're most welcome. Yes, I play bass guitar primarily, and some guitar.
Good content Cue!
Thanks!
First, thank you for your service! I’m all over the place myself! I’m on a performance bagger kick currently! Good video!
Thanks! I should add "joining the Navy" to the list of things I said I would never do. But I am glad I did it.
@@RidingandWrenching hahaha I get it as an Army vet lmao 🤣
@@RidingandWrenching Ha, too funny. I said the same thing about joining the Navy. Did it anyway and actually proud of it. I'm one of those rare creatures known as a Golden Shellback. Great video. 2019 FLHTK.
I have the same bike and went with the wicked red inner fairing. Looks phenomenal.
I did way too much thinking. I literally considered orange! I should have consulted with my wife....I clearly don't have her eye for style.
Awesome video. For me I have a 2021 fatboy. I need to change the wheels and the suspension, the wheels are extremely heavy. Upgrades that I like are the thick seat, extreme air breather, 131 stage IV, daymaker lights, the fat spark plug wires, iridium plugs, and a short sissy bar. The wheels though for sure have to go, they are solid and you can tell they weigh a ton.
Are the solid wheels affected by cross winds?
@@RidingandWrenching not that I can tell. Haven’t had an issue with that. Just extremely heavy.
That RG is 🔥! Suspension will be mine. Haven’t done it yet but it’s next. I’ve always ran stock. Oh man, mistakes…too many🤣 I guess if there is one it’s my bars. I love them but wish I would have went with 12’s instead of 10’s. Great video!
I am on my 3rd set of handlebars!!! I had 12" chrome bars from Harley. Once I decided to black out my bike, I switched to KST....they are THE BOMB! Except for all of the scratches because I am a jackass! I have a few more pieces to black out and then I'll move on to the next thing....
I love heel shifters. I've had a heel shifter on every Harley Touring bike since the early 80's. I even added one to my 2020 Fat Boy. My son tells me that I "grampafy" my bikes. And as far as suspension goes... I'm a firm believer in Legend's suspension... both front and rear. Improves the ride of my bike more than I ever expected. Sad that after spending so much on a bike that you have to add/change so much.
I don't know why Harley doesn't put a premium suspension in all of their bikes. I would want people to ride them so much that they never want to get off the bike. I couldn't wait to get off my Street Glide Special with a stock suspension.
Thanks for sharing your story!
I'm 71 and been riding Harley's since I was 21. I like simple and functional, why I ride a hot rod FXD, no radio or fairing just 120hp. BUT I enjoy your videos anyway. And that is a nice 65 Mustang too.
I have only been riding for 4 years.....but I'm glad I started riding later in life. I was WAY too irresponsible to handle a motorcycle when I was younger.
My dad was a mechanic and auto body mechanic. I learned how to fix things and work with my hands. I've been working on cars as along as I can remember..... not a mechanic like my dad, but I can take care of them. Motorcycles where a natural progression for me. I love riding!
My Mustang is a 66. I will do a video on it one of these days
@@RidingandWrenching I hurt myself a few times in my 20's riding crazy, wheelied over backwards on my 73 SuperGlide, went off road while drinking into a ditch, so I know what you mean. But had so many other great adventures and friends because of riding I'm glad I started early.
@@RidingandWrenching Sorry, almost said '66. You were in the Navy? My Pop was an AirForce fighter pilot and did a 1 year stint exchange duty with the Navy in '57 on the Bon Homme Richard, flew Fury's the Navy F-86. He liked his time there, said the food was great.
so i'm confused about the saddle bag speakers . Can you hear them or is it just for the passenger? years ago they put them around the tour pak witch seamed to work.
Cue thank you for your thoughts , love your channel
Thank you!
Well, I wished you had email me before I bought new my wheels. I Purchased 21-inch motto for front and 17-inch for rear. Tires will arrive today, so I haven't completed install. One thing I love is tps system. I enjoy knowing tire pressure at a glance, especially on those long road trips to key west. PPl I spoke with assured me there was no ride quality issue. But now I know better. Once the tires arrive, I may put them on marketplace as a combo package or I may just say what the hell and install anyway. Had I seen this video before purchase, I would have just chromed 18-inch that came with bike. My bike has 18-inch on front and back. Stock. Now I have some pondering to do. Thx
I don't want to discourage you from using the bigger wheels. I still have them on my bike. You may not notice a difference in ride quality or it may not bother you. I'm glad that I upgraded my suspension. It has dramatically improved the ride quality. I still don't have TPMS on this bike. I'd like to add it but I'm not sure it will be as seemless as built in TPMS
Cue I just seen that soundz can out with new wiring to eliminate the kickstand warning and some other wiring for the tourpack and fog lamps. I seen it on Facebook. I hope this helps you.
I saw that. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for your honesty, saves people some $$$. Oh yea, I would never depart from my heel-toe shifter..... "66" Mustang?
Yes sir! 1966
I put an extended front shifter on mine (size13 foot) work awesome
My 2008 ultra classic does the same thing, took it to a shop, told them it also smells like burnt oil after I ride, they called me back and said some kind of gaskets were bad in the heads, replaced them, said the smell would go away after awhile, said to run seafoam in it . Well 7Months later it still smells !!!!The smell is coming from the engine area, no wet areas at all !!!!
Stock Harleys are great, as soon as you change wheels it opens a can worms I agree with what you have said and by the way nice bike
I'm glad I changed the suspension. I never made adjustments when my wife would ride with me. Now I don't have to worry about it
Don't remember off the top of my head 4 mistakes, but I did make a mistake trying to clean my tank and scratched it up. Another mistake was when I got tires, I told them I needed tubes as well because I have spoke wheels, and they told me they would inspect my tubes to see if they needed to be replace, well that lasted 6 months then had to replace the tube!
ouch! You have to trust your own judgement!
In my humble opinion the best upgrade you did was to install the Wilber’s suspension it it a set and forget system. Did you replace the front springs from their kit or just do the rear suspension. As far as the stitching on the seat use saddle soap on seat it will help in sealing the stitching holes just use it regularly
I did the front and rear....it is AMAZING! Its the best upgrade I have done for rider comfort.
