This was bootleg AF that first fighter was basically Ryo's sprite from Fatal Fury Special barely altered. Others ripped from Art of Fighting. Jeez that they didn't get sued.
Oh neat, that's actually a bit interesting. Thanks for mentioning that. I was curious about the bit-crushed nature of the sprites here - it's an absolute shame this PS1 port is _so_ bad then. Either version may still be uninspired, but Master's Fury actually looks a lot nicer than this stuff (and it's also interesting that they changed the names of characters like Mishell for literally no reason)
I kinda like Mishell's design, even if it's kind of generic for a '90s fighter chick. sleeveless vest, fingerless gloves, short shorts, denim everything? I feel like a lot of brawlers and fighting games have this type of character. I mean, she's just a worse version of Lucia from Final Fight 3, for one example. But I dunno, you also can't help but love the budget-y. dollar-store style here - I mean, how about the fact that Mishell's load screen chibi version has pink hair, the in-game sprite has brown hair, the victory screen art has black hair, and her clone has overly-compressed, corrupted-looking green hair or something, lol. _That's_ a sign of quality... well, the kind of quality that ensures Justin Wong will look at this for his JankYard series eventually.

call me crazy, I owned this game I mean we had in that time tekken 3, final fantasy 7, silent hill, resident evil 2, metal gear solid for name a few ps1 classics and yet this game was my guilty pleasure knowing how bad it is I still loved to play all the time lol

Mishell's design is really inconsistent. She looks to be a brunette and cute but then we see in the stage select, she has a pony tail and muscular. And then in gameplay, she sounds like a 14 year old even though she's 18 and working for the police. Like..pick a girl character type! What kinda girl is she supposed to be? A tomboy or a Yuri Sakazaki-clone? Though they ripped her sprite off of Yuri from Art of Fighting 2 so that's that. Also PPS, this game was originally a port of an arcade game called Masters Fury. 6:42, I wish whoever designed this game tried harder. Also, Long Way? Yeaaaaah. Nice try, guys.

The arcade version of this, called "Master's Fury", has a better visual quality and rather eye-pleasant sprite work.

Well, it's not that bad. Other than some of the tracks and the rough spritework, it's a decent obscure Ps1 game.
