You and Bleepin totally motivated me to start a mobile mechanic company. It’s just me fixing little things and doing oil changes but it’s paying pretty good. A super cheap XJ may be in my future and I’m stoked! Nice job out there. You made some clean assents!

It is good to start small in this sport. I started with a stock Toyota Tacoma and that helped me develop the basic skills of line choice and momentum. You can tell a huge difference when someone started small and when someone just jumped right into a buggy.

I have a 91 XJ that was my first 4x4 when I was 16 and this Friday I’m turning 33. I wheel it but I care to much to really thrash on it like you guys have been doing.
I sure enjoy your videos Matt. This is a good series...I had a 2000 XJ for 15 years, bought it new. Skyjacker 6” Rock Ready lift, ARB bumper, Lock Rites front and rear. Loved it. I had more hours than miles when I sold it. Do a Samurai build when this one is over.

So much fun watching your videos. Thanks! I know about all this. I wheeled my '87 XJ ordered new with a $265 factory Dana 44 axle; it was stolen 8/19 with 285,000 untouched engine miles on it. Wheeled in Utah every summer of ownership, learning over the years what to build. After test driving JLRs to replace it, I've come to learn I'll never own a finer vehicle than that XJ. The Stellantis "Jeeps" are $70,000 disappointments.
Loved this series! (Loved that XJ the best, though) Makes me miss the one I sold. Good job! Next time you should build trucks, like '80s square body GMs VS Fords.

Budget cheap wheeling rigs are the best bc u dont care 2 beat on them and raise hell my buddy had a 800$ jeep we lifted 4 inches and put 33s and give it the old Miller locker on rear and raised hell

As long as its an open carrier it will work (not Limited slip). If you plan on doing even moderate wheeling, I would at least get a chrysler 8.25 or even better yet, a ford 8.8.
Fordyce was impossible for me & some friends back in 2013. From a TJ on 37s to JKUs on 40s, everyone was struggling so bad we took the bypass off on day 2, and it took 6 hours for us to get thru the bypass. Would love to know what it’s like today
That’s grand Cherokee really need longs front and rear and some hydraulic bump stops. Then you can not only rock crawl but also hit sand whoops and desert roads wide open
It doesn’t need long arms but could be a little lower, and tuck the winch back, cut the front crossmember out and put it tight to the rad. Stiffer shocks up front would help. It’s set up fairly similar to my wj though so I’m partial

The xj with leafs in the rear offers more stability so it’s good where it’s at. For east coast stuff I can see why it’s higher though. I’ve got a budget wj that’s lower than most and ran most of the 7 rated in trails in Sandhollow with 33’s and open diffs.

Jeep wj question, will a spartan locker work within the stock Dana 35, 27 spline? The more I look for, the more confusion comes from it

I’ve got a budget wj that’s lower than most and ran most of the 7 rated in trails in Sandhollow with 33’s and open diffs.
I don't know about XJ vs ZJ although I am XJ biased, but Busted Knuckle has better throttle control. Nice crawling!
