I was interested in these but the K2 Mindbender fit straight out of the box. We looked at each other in the shop with stupid grins on our faces. It was like a miracle. Don’t forget the footbeds!
Thanks. I'm 8 days in on the 120. Needed a bit of foam to keep the heel in place. Have to say, challenging time getting the liners back in after pulling them to dry. Any chance you can do a video demonstrating the best way to get liner back in the boot?
Thanks Johnny! You should consider a liner sleeve! :) Way better than sticking foam on your liners!! Also I can do that video. I do demonstrate this in an old video -Drying your liners.- ua-cam.com/video/biVD3vOmhIo/v-deo.html
I saw you had another video on the Shift Pro boots 3 years ago, and in that one you gave the boots a 9.5 score. Here it's 8.5. just wondering, what has changed?
I have about 14 days on Shift pro 120, They need to have a 106 + last for people with larger volume foot. especially with the instep, I'm on my 2nd heat molding both liner and shell to get it to conform better to my foot. But find the area were the 2nd buckle just doesn't want to stretch that much. I've had to remove the bedding which helped out alot. No problems with being cold. Easy enter off and on. I'm finding I like the walk mode off.(lol) It puts way to much pressure on the top of my foot and then my foot swells then make the rest of the day miserable.
It’s important to know on the 130’s, their walk/ski mechanism in the back is very difficult to lock into place. Myself and many other 130 owners have had terrible experiences with this. Don’t get me wrong, the Pro Shift 130 is an incredible boot. It’s just a shame Solomon failed miserably on their walk/ski mode activation.
Kyle, how long have you been in them? I've had em for a bit over a year and haven't had any issues with the walk/ski mode. I always felt like (for no particular reason) it would fail quicker than other brands, but so far so good for me.
@@arlenmossgrove153 I bought mine in Dec. 2021 and had problems with the mechanism since day 1. I’ve taken my boots to 2 different techs and shops and it’s been concluded that this is a manufacturing issue within the boot itself. I’m only sharing my story because it caused such an inconvenience on every ski trip I’ve been on since purchasing this boot. If you look online, I’m not the only one who has shared this experience. I hope you have a different outcome than me.
I bought the shift 130s a couple of seasons back when covid was hitting hard and I couldnt get many places to try boots. The fit in the toe area was good for me, My instep definatly struggles to make it round the bend putting the boot on, And I also had to pad out the heel a lot to get a snug fit. The boots have been great with the mods, but its nearly new boot time and Im wondering if you can reccomend any options in the same catagory with less heel space but still with instep room?
I had my feet properly measured and the Salomon Shift Pro seemed to tick all the boxes. Hit the front with my toes when standing straight and not touching anything when I'm bending my knees. But during the first day of wearing I got a lot of anckle lift.. Any way to fix this?

Sorry to hear. I have had my 130 since 2019 and never had any issues. I just lean forward and it locks perfect.
I had a similar problem and solved it by leaning into them more

Thanks for the great reviews as always
Thanks
Is there a big difference between the 130 and the 120?
Not much.
