      I’ve noticed that Tony, I read in your bio you have the wicked grapple! I love mine and all of my guys are always impressed with what it can do out on the job! Wasn’t sure how it would do with the bushes but it made quick work of them.

    You have a really nice kit there. There isn't a better attachment for a tractor than a grapple IMHO. You are a pretty competent operator.

    Funny that after the second bush he asked if there were buried lines. Obviously he’s someone who’s never hit a buried utility. My next door neighbor severed my natural gas line last month after I told him on 3 separate occasions to watch out for it and our locator located it.

    Very nice setup. I really like the truck. Being able to drop the bed/container looks very helpful. Thanks for sharing.

      Hey man just came across your channel! New sub here! I have the 2501 and I’m now going to get the wicked grapple as well! Question about the truck! That looks perfect for my landscaping business!! Is it a non cdl truck? If so what is it, and where can I get the a hook lift system like that?

    You know I thought that dump trailer looked familiar. Once I saw you at Cumberland farms I put it all together 😂 Our yard it literally 5 min from there. If it’s possible I’d love to come see that grapple. Im interested in getting one for my machine

    Hey Jake. I'm really enjoying your vids. Especially the ones of you showing what the grapple can do and how you use it. Very educational. I recently purchased the little BX23S TLB and I immediately ordered the EA 55 grapple. I hope she's got enough umph to work it. :) Either way, I'm super excited to get to using it when it arrives having watched your vids. Liked and subscribed. Keep'em coming! Be careful out there brother. ✌

    What is that contraption on the back of the dump trailer? What do you use it for, and did you make it custom or buy it?

    • @DudeRanchDIY
      @DudeRanchDIY  Рік тому

      It’s a custom built log lifting arch. It uses the winch on the front of the trailer. I have videos of it on the channel.

    Good video , how do you price a job like that, i also do tractor work, but I think I am really not changing enough , just wondering if you change by the hour or just kind of figure how many hours it should take and change a flat amount for the whole job.

    • @DudeRanchDIY
      @DudeRanchDIY  2 роки тому +1

      For this particular job I priced it by the hour at my typical machine rate plus travel time, fuel, and dump fees because I had never done anything quite like this before. Normally I like to price by the job, where I figure how many hours it’ll take at my normal rate, account for my travel time, diesel, throw in a bit extra for maintenance and any unforeseen breakdowns and then add a bit to that just for cushion. I can always reduce the price, but rarely can you ever raise it without pissing the customer off!

    Maybe you can convince the homeowner to take down that weeping willow. Nasty tree.

    I changed 100 dollars a hour flat rate I think I might be a little to low now days, no travel time or fuel or extra for maintenance do you think that is to low, your opinion, thanks

    • @DudeRanchDIY
      @DudeRanchDIY  2 роки тому +1

      It’s very dependent on your area, my rate is about 1.5x that for just me and my machine. You must factor in travel, fuel, maintenance.

    Be careful working your grapple like that! I was clamping down with my wicked grapple and pulling and broke both cylinders on it.

    • @DudeRanchDIY
      @DudeRanchDIY  Рік тому

      If it’s a newer grapple they did have some issues with a cylinder supplier. Mine is about 3 years old and have had 0 issues
