My racket! Considering it is a control racket it provides great spin and depth, power. So…perfect. Hyper G works really well on it. In my case better than Tourbyte.
It didn't feel stiff compared to new tfights that are also foam filled.
I use this racquet now. I love the crisper, connected feeling hitting versus the Blade 98 v9 (16x19) which felt too muted to me.
I can see that with the Blade
I wonder if Solinco and Technifibre shared the same racquets. They both looked the same and both are foam filled.
I've played with both brands and didn't find they felt similar at all... Other than a bit of the foam filled feeling.
I would say that they definitely have different feelings to them. Especially once you start getting into the different versions/racquet lines from Tecnifibre
This is my current racquet of choice. Andrew Gu, of Tennis Spin, called the Whiteout, “what you get if the Wilson Blade and the Babolat PureStrike had a baby.” I kind of like that description as I feel that it shares some DNA with the PureStrike too. I didn’t realize how muted the racket was due to the foam. I was interested in a more connected racket despite loving the specs of the Whiteout. Could you suggest a more connected racket for me similar to the Whiteout? Although I likely won’t change as I really appreciate Solinco as a brand the work they put in to create these lines of rackets.
If you want a bit more of a connected racquet with very similar specs to the Whiteout then I would say to look towards the Dunlop CX 200 or maybe even the Pure Strike 98 16X19 like Gu mentioned. The Dunlop will be a bit more connected of the two but the Strike will still have more of the power like your Whiteout has. I definitely agree with you that the amount of work Solinco puts into making these racquets is truly commendable
Nice suggestions. I was thinking along the lines of the PureStrike 97 which kind of splits the difference between the two rackets you recommend.
Pure Strike 97 is a good split of the two. I would just be careful because the weight, balance, string pattern, head size is going to be different. It’s definitely still a control racquet with a little more power. It just accomplishes that in a different way
