Don’t stop UA-cam because of your age. It’s so refreshing seeing you and hearing your perspective. I support whatever you gotta do for you. But realize too that UA-cam viewers are also getting older. I love and appreciate your honesty, especially around motherhood. It’s so relatable for me.

It's okay not to love the newborn or baby stage! It's a big change and adjustment. I also didn't connect to either of my children until they started showing their personalities. So far my favorite stage is anything passed 1 years old and I'm not afraid to admit that.

My daughter is a day younger than yours, and I relate so much! I also call BS on the moms that appear to be doing it all. We all have 24 hours in a day, and two thirds of those hours are spent taking care of baby and working.

Super happy to see you back ❤ here is a different outlook on UA-cam & age. When the comment of, "when I turn 40, I'll stop UA-cam" was originally made, was many many years ago. Times where different back then. UA-cam majority was of the "young" crowd, or at least the popular UA-camrs. But times have changed, the viewers have grown in age just like the UA-camrs. I myself am in a job, that when I started, I thought I'd be aged out at 25-30. But I had that outlook when I started.... 14 years ago, when I was 19. Back then, it wasn't common for an older age. But times have changed. And now I see no time end like that. You gotta remember, when you age, so does everyone else ❤

Hi Lisa! I just want to say don’t feel any pressure on uploading or think that you have to say goodbye to UA-cam. Upload whenever you feel it. I’m happy to see your videos whether it’s weekly or only every couple months. I’ve been watching you for almost 10 years. I’ll still be here and so will so many other people. Love you ❤️

I love what you said about how words stick. Anytime I'm about to do something to change my appearance or I get insecure, I try (emphasis on try) to take a step back and analyze why I'm doing it. Most of the time it's because society said so or it relates to the European beauty standards and I'm like...girl bye. Like I'm soooo insecure about my jaw/chin and sometimes I think about surgery (in the future, I'm 21), but it's genetic. My sister is a weight lifter and has a little chin pudge. Taking a step back and seeing how words and standards effect me helps. I don't need a sharp jawline bc Kylie Jenner has one 🙄.
Okay this was a little vent but this always feels like a safe space. You can quit UA-cam if you want bc your happiness and mental health is most important, HOWEVER, you could always just pop in when you feel like it. 👉🏾👈🏾 No pressure, just vents. Love you always

Hi Lisa. I’ve been watching you since you’ve been with Shane. Nowadays whenever you upload, I feel like you’re very frustrated, perhaps angry, depressed and stressed. And that’s more than understandable. This energy feels so strong I almost couldn’t finish the video. I feel bad for you, I do, because this isn’t something that we’re able to plan out in any way shape or form. And I feel sorry that you felt like motherhood was something that you wanted for yourself. That it’s something that you thought was for you. And now, maybe it just isn’t. I hope you find a way to find yourself again.

That's perfectly normal not connecting with your child when they are first born. Your child is essentially a stranger and you are now is the process of getting to know her. I think especially it's harder to connect when you have post partum depression.

The first weeks and months can be so tough. I always tell people that some days were so bad that I was like “I either throw her out the window or I throw myself” other days I would fantasize about leaving and not going back. And yes, a lot of people don’t talk about that so it can feel isolating but it got better. It’s still hard but it’s better and I’m finding the time for myself.
On the other note, yes! What people say does stick around sometimes for years and years. I still think of a comment a friend said to me about how I was behind in the job game. And it sucks.

I AM so glad u turned back on the camera! I’m here for the realness of ur story. Pro and con…every birth story is different. Every pregnancy is different. EveryBODY is different 🤷🏼‍♀️ some people HATE the baby stage. It’s hard and tiring. But it can be amazing. I have 4 and it seems like this last one has given me a run for my money. My first I had at 19 and he’s 18 now. I’m gonna be 38 in December. My oldest 2 are boys and they’re pretty laid back for the most part. My last 2 are girls and my oldest girl is a handful and far too smart for all of our own good. The youngest is like the terrible 2s on steroids….with roid rage 😂 motherhood is a mixed bag. I feel like when ur younger ur less prepared both financially and emotionally. But being older im almost too tired to keep up. I promise tho….u will enjoy it at some point.

Going to the grocery store was my hiding spot when i got a respite.
I could stretch a grocery store run into an hour endeavor.
It's just long enough to find air again. Get my head above water and breath.
It is really, really, really ok to need an hour for yourself. Talk to another person who doesn't need you for anything.
    It is ok.
Take whatever you need, exactly when you need it.
My best piece of advice to new parents, start with grandchildren. Lol
It is the most amazing part of parenthood. Being a grandmother. All that love. Where your heart lives with the most important person to you. Your child.
Highly advise grandparenthood. It is so much easier.
Being a parent is slogging in the ditches with vomit running down the back of your shirt. Needing to pee but the baby is crying. So hard.

Do NOT fall for that age nonsense. I know when we look ahead, "old" people look so different to us, but I'm 64 and I'm here to say that you are still the same person you always were and as long as you stay just a little bit immature 😆, you can think and dress and behave as youthfully as you want to. Plus, we need creators who are sticking with it! ❤

Watching you Lisa makes me feel great because we are in this together. I have a 2 year old son that just started potty training and had identical boy twins this past November. Now my twins are almost 4 months old. I’m really enjoying taking in the baby stages for my twins right now because I can’t have anymore children. I believe parenting will have its ups and downs and it’s like you have to give yourself credit for trying to be the best parent and also learn to laugh at the little things that really stress you out once in a while. Take one day at a time and at your own pace. I enjoy watching your videos and your content. You are a rockstar! ❤
