It's actually not a bad idea! Then, the game would get an extra dimension, like the game on harry poter movies. You can, you now, move up and down, and the game could behave more like the actual thing!
This video made me laugh! :) Thank you! I have an other weird sport for you: Fireball soccer. Its played in Indonesia. And yes, its soccer with a ball on fire. Its a ritual sport.
Yukigassen looks fun and i think would be great in here in Canada, the pillow fighting is shameful lol, I don't like curling but that car curling sport looks like something an American would combine curling with lol
+Ninh Ly, you should consider adding a sport that is my high school’s hidden secret: Four Base. It’s only played in gym class, but you take four baseball plates with a home plate on a regular high school basketball court, and have kids kick a dodgeball rolled to them from a “pitcher.” It’s an amalgam of baseball and dodgeball rolled into one.
I love Ninh Explains and have used many videos in some of my PE classes during lockdown. I don't see the necessity for using some profane words in newer videos such as this one.
Hi Ninh! Thanks for uploading this video (Again) If you have the time and resources I hope you will look into and explaining some legal gambling sports in Japan that many people might not not about... Keirin (which you covered in part in your cycling video), Kyotei aka Boat Race (hydroplane races) and Auto Race (motorcycle races). Thank you for considering!
Thanks, I appreciate it. The elephant in the room with Japan is that Pachinko clearly is gambling, and people clearly profit and lose money from it. I don't know why they don't just legalise that instead?
Ninh Ly fair point. in Japan cash gambling on anything other than horse racing or the others listed above is technically illegal but you can exchange your pachinko winnings for tokens which can then be exchanged in a nearby “separate” shop for cash. This is how pachinko parlors get around the gambling law.
I've played gagaball at scout camp a few times. Thing is, the wall they built for it is like 2 feet high. I got a knot in my leg just trying to get over the damn thing.
Hey, Ninh! Thanks for the quality content on different sports (albeit that some are really weird). I'm not sure if you covered it yet, but I have a sport for you to possibly cover. It may not be as globally known as Formula 1 or Association Football, but it is gaining some traction in different countries (Pun intended, as well as a slight hint), and that is Sprint Car Racing. I think it would be amazing if you were to cover the rules of Sprint Car Racing in a video. That, or British Banger Racing. Anyway, keep up the good work!
I've found some other weird sports you could cover in the next episode: extreme ironing (makes you really appreciate the ,,standard" type of houseworks), camel jumping in Yemen (wtf), The World Coal Carrying Championship (to no one's surprise, this one was invented in England), elephant football or polo (horses are just too lame for these guys), bossaball (Brazilian mix of football and volleyball played on a floating castle), hamster racing (basicly Hot Wheels with hamsters, this one even has a Wikipedia article), egg throwing (another weird one made in England, this one has its own fedration), Nimbin Hemp Olympics (for those who just ,,can't stay of the damn weeeeed-uh"), kibasen or ,,cavalry fight" (every anime fan knows what I'm talking about), Competetive Sleeping League (this one is pretty self-explanatory), lawn mower racing (appearently inspired by P!nk's MV for the song ,,So what?" : ), nude sports (including nude rugby played at Dunedin, New Zealand), tuk tuk polo (you just can't make this up), tuna tossing (look for Australian Tunarama Festival), Armored Combat League (guys going full-Medieval on each other's ass)
Point of order: @4:35, the English (well the British to be precise) have won a shedload of gold medals at the previous couple of Olympic Games so we didn’t really need to invent Zorbing just to win something. And I have to say that cheese rolling is no less of a sport than arse slapping, even if it is less visually appealing.
Every single Japanese guy must have played casual Yukigassen at one time for sure, which is not necessarily a proper sport as introduced here lol Just hitting small ice snowball each other is also called by the same name ^^ Since live in Tokyo, haven't played that for long time.... btw, that Kaninhopping is so gad damn cuuuuuuuute!
My nephews (8 and 6 years old) are huge fans of Gaga, which they learned to play in summer camp. They're such big fans of it that they managed to convince their dad to build a Gaga octagon in their backyard, and before the lockdown they were hosting neighborhood tournaments.... I have to say, watching them play it, it looked a lot more fun than in the video clip--once you get the hang of it, the speed of play picks up tremendously.
