Love, Love, LOVE YOUR most EXCELLENT information, opinions and videos that show and tell us EVERYTHING we need to know about fencing! I can’t tell you how much you have helped me as a single person working on the farm, needing HELP that makes sense and SOLVES problems! You’re so AWESOME, Tim! 🙏💕👍Thanks!
Another GREAT video! Love this! I have a temporary grazing fence up right now that I am going to modify tomorrow based on your video! Thanks for making!
Good video! Treat your soil and your soil will treat you! For my grazing temporary fence I have a little spring loaded gate handle on one end but it's more of an L and not so much a c hook so if it gets struck too hard it can pop off. Then with a bunch of them step in pigtail posts and a spool like you have stretch The Wire across and then I just hang the spool over the hot wire at the other side next to a post. Not much tension but good voltage and the cattle will learn to not mess with the fence.
Thanks Tim. I would like to hear your wisdom on wallaby proof fencing! They're a big problem for me at the moment, I'm about to start the first phase of exclusion fencing.
You prolly dont care but does anyone know of a method to log back into an instagram account..? I stupidly lost my login password. I would appreciate any tips you can give me!
@Darius Gideon i really appreciate your reply. I got to the site thru google and im trying it out now. Seems to take a while so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
did you join two pigtails to make that post? I have never seen any sold like that. The metal Thunderbird/Gallagher multi-wire posts are good but very susceptible to shorts- when you run multi wire as you feed the wire/tape from one clip to another I seem to always have to muck around adjusting the wire because they end up touching the steel...somewhere or another.
Thanks for the tip. I'm about to build a temporary fence with star pickets and Poly wire. This is because of time constraints getting my treated pine Posts. Do you have any tips on making the fence secure with star picket and polywire? It has to hold two horses in for at least 4 weeks
@@FarmLearningTim Hi. Thanks. I have the star picket caps. My horses are pretty good. They respect fences. Just hoping they stay right away from it. Thanks again. 😊
To be honest mate, I literally got them from a bargain bin, but most manufacturers have a few. Make sure that the locking pins are well made and don’t jam.
I’d be looking at a permanent electric fence solution for pigs. Try today’s video, second version. Works well. ua-cam.com/video/OQbb8OeX8Yk/v-deo.htmlsi=BOYvJOzHQYwsUiRX
Thanks for your info on setting up an electric fence. I’m sad to listen to your comments on your trees though. Shame you can’t see them for the blessing they are, instead happy to bring in the dozer to push them out 😢
Seriously mate, I love my trees. I’ve planted over 1000 natives in the past 2 years and I have done several videos on how beneficial trees are to grazing systems. But on fencelines….. argh! So it’s all about management eh?

"Look after your soil and it will look after you". 👍A thought all managers should think more

Always wonderful and full of wisdom. Thanks mate, big fan.
Face the pigtail away from the stock to secure the tape and prevent the stock from pushing the standard over.

Thanks so much, you saved my ass !
@Ramon Bodie You are welcome :D
Nice vid Tim, think the background music is annoying. Thought you could have mentioned post spacing.

Hello Tim, have you made any videos about Earth anchors (dead man)?

How much power does this provide ? Does this powerful enough and can stop wild pigs entering into the paddock?

🏆
Maybe I missed it, but I was interested in the power source used for the fence and how you connect and protect it from the weather
Solar electric. I do use a mains system elsewhere. I Just run a wire underground from the shed where it’s screwed to the wall.
