- Getting wobbles when you are skating sucks, period. If you're lucky, you may not fall but more often than not ...
Check out my video to learn how you can set your board up to avoid wobbles. Read the article below for a more in-depth guide to this:

Fun fact: Wobbles come from the loose back trucks. Tightening your back trucks just a little bit will eliminate wobbles and dont over tight your trucks as it will lead to less control👍
Thx that helped
Whole time vibing to the song
I'm so glad I found you!! I'm trying to not lose all of my skin again and this will help tons-thank you :D
It's a step in the right direction for sure :)
Sameee
Thanks. This manages to be more informative than most videos I've found and you don't even talk. Respect.
Glad you found it useful :)
Watching this with a lot of bandages on me!
I will definitely make these adjustments and try again!
Haha same
Cool video. Thanks for this.
Thanks for watching :)
I’m on my 3rd day of shredding so I appreciate this info a lot. You looking hella steaz out there bro keep it up 🤙🏾
Awesome video!
recovering from a bad fall because I didn't have a well set-up board and was practising on steeper hills! i thought i was going to have to replace the board with a different one but im glad I can try out these adjustments! thanks!
You sound like you're doing DH seriously. Please get a proper board for downhill
This was exactly what I was looking for, great video
Good to hear :)
Actually this video is all I need to set uo my board properly. Thank you!
I'd say its more introductory than anything else. Please, please read up more on this!
Great tips. Impressive video!
Saw some of your videos too bro! Keep it up
Great vid! 🤘🏿👽🤘🏿
Thanks for tips
Awesome video, keep it up!
Thank you!
Thank you!!!
Damn! thanks for this. And as i got new bushings because my old ones got damaged pretty badly. So when i put my new ones n started riding i couldn't ride it as it was just moving on right side n wasn't stable at all even when i was starting with kicking it. Is it also because i havn't tightened my trucks well?
2:14 I saw what that text in small font said lol. Thanks for the info very helpful.
It has taken 2 years for someone to see that hahahha
Thanks for the video. I stopped longboard but i want to hit faster speeds one day!
Sounds good! Just be safe
Nice...thanks.
Most welcome
The irony is so thick here. If I’d just known then how to adjust my trucks, then I wouldn’t have had the speed wobbles… that caused me to crash…into a truck! DOH!!! I will never forget the school bus that slowly cruised by just after my crash, nor the faces of the children who witnessed my bloody accident…and whose maniacal laughter have since haunted my dreams. Kids can be so cruel. 😫
Great video, though.
how much should i thighten my trucks? im struggling with it. i dont do downhill tho i have a cruiser and i use it to go around the city but i dont knkw how much tight my trucks should be. My actual trucks can be wobbled easly like if i turn the skate upside down and touch the trucks or shake the table i can see them wobbling i think i should tighten em since i cant stand still on the table without turning liiiiittle bit but i dont know how much, any tips? like should the wobble a little bit or should they stand perfectly still and absolutly dont wobble?
Tighten till you can't spin the washer with your hand
The type of truck is essential.
If you want to go to the park and trick ride standard trucks great.
But fast down hills ( keep out of sand )
Trust me on that.
Reverse mount the only way. May not turn as well, more linear turning but speed great. Can't make he tight bend , slide .
Keep away from double king pin unless you want a serious carve .
I just bought a longboard today and ate shit on it with my first 10 minutes because of it being too wobbly. this helped lol, I went down the same Hill after fixing my board and it was so much easier
Glad it was helpful :)
Can you do a vid like this for doubles I got pin trucks I’m having issues with speed wobbles
those type of trucks are for carving, not going fast. They will wobble
When the speed starts to get higher the longboard starts to shake, so this is not really my fault that I'm not balanced or somthing? And I should stable my longboard?
(And be very careful while riding, this costed me a broken thigh)
And thank you very much for the useful video🌻
It's kinda your fault too. If you have a lot of skill you can go faster safer. But alsoz the equipment matters
does truck length contribute to speed wobble?
i have an 8x28" deck which is an electric skateboard.. current truck size is 10.5" axle and i am planning to upgrade the trucks to paris v3 but i just can't decide if i should get 180mm or 165mm.. what do you recon? i want to have stability and nimble carving
Yeah, a bigger wheelbase is generally more stable. That deck would give you wobbles as you get up past 30mph. Wouldn't recommend it for speeds faster than 20mph.
165mm or 150mm even, would fit better on the 8inch width.
@@AroniDeliquint What busgy said is correct
@@AroniDeliquint thanks for the info dude,, last question, can i use multiple shock pads? like i can only find 1/6" shock pads and i am wondering if i can buy 4 and place one on top of another so it would be 1/4 inch
👍👍👍
I’m using a 93a chubby boardside/ barrel road side
Sounds good! How does i feel?
Downhill254 - Kenyan Longboarding very stable at high speed
Downhill254 - Kenyan Longboarding it’s the riptide krank they don’t squish
Ive already tighten the bolt all the way but one of my truck doesn’t feel stable enough, what should I do
New bushings or dewedge
i have tightened my trucks and still gives wobbles the wheels were turning left and right eventually i crashed the road so badly how do i know what type of bushings i have in my board?
Depends if TKP or RKP, you gotta look online at bushings for your name brand trucks.
And eye want to know what's that supposed to mean
Does it matter what bearings u use ? Like could I use bearings from different wheels
No. Bearings have the smallest impact
@@downhill254skate thanks! Also, my board has been acting really weird since yesterday, when I go straight it turns left by itself.. I have pretty good balance so idk what happened. Could it be bushings fault? Do I need to clean them or 😅
@@Eveelynnx I think they may be worn or something. I'd take them out and see if they're worn or deformed funny. If so, replace em
@@downhill254skate found the issue I think. When I ride over a crack the trucks loosen up by themselves :(
@@Eveelynnx time for new kingpin nuts
2:15 sir? 🤨
This video is hard facts.
Thanks for watching bro!
I'm not going to give this a down thumbs but the main way to stop speed wobbles is keep 90%+ of your weight over the front truck, I run short Esk8 , keep my trucks super loose and can run at 25mph no speed wobbles at all
The main way is skill actually.
25mph isn't that fast
noice
Bless
oWo
Bombed a hill on my skateboard with loose trucks and broke my collarbone not gonna happen again😂idk why I didn't use my longboard first my dumb self used my skateboard with 52mm wheels rather than my longboard with 80mm wheels
Yeah man, longboards are better suited to speed :)
@@downhill254skate I have a landyachtz evo 36 with 180 trucks never really bombed with it yet
Good tips
but man, the audio is godawful
