Best fishing I have ever watched. Clear view of baits/lures are shown where most angler are keen on showing the catch only. They think that others might learn from them . Wow great fishing and carry on. I am your subscriber now.
Nice video. Good to see you throwing them back to live another day. I've seen people taking small fish away with them in their numbers and it's maddening. Well done 👍
@@senanstanleyfishing Top man. That river looks great, your a lucky man living having it on your doorstep. Here in England there's quite a few that's been polluted which is a shame.
These are mainly small rivers where the trout swim up from the large glacial Loughs, we get pollution issues at times also unfortunately, some terrible fish kills. Trout numbers are good in this small river but I always promote releasing these fish, there’s no need to kill small trout realistically this day in age.
Brilliant fishing lad . I love that style. I’ve a 7’ Fox Elite , 6lb braid on a Okuma 2000 . I use Rapalas extensively. CD1 and CD3 in 4/5 colours. Original floaters on certain waters. I’ve had Salmon on the CD1 😂 Incredible lures . Well done 👍
Unreal bud, just out of interest when your fishing the rapalas on the river are you fishing them on a straight retrieve or with jerks? 😁 I’m in two minds about swapping to braid on the ninja1000, I feel the spinners work better with mono, but the wobblers would work better with the braid 😭😂
@@senanstanleyfishing I’m using braid 10 years with 20” flouro leader and small quick link . Straight turns seem to work, they tend to hammer it . The action built in is so realistic. I find colour more important. Definitely braid
Brilliant video as always mate. I would like to ask a question/advice. I always use Mepps No1 spinners and recently I've been fishing a new river which has a lot of the size fish in your video. But I have hooked a couple of larger trout (2lb) and on each occasion they nailed the hook deep. I have been able to remove the hook but I'm wondering should I be using a Size 2 instead? When would you personally go to a Size 2? River I'm fishing is similar size to the one in your video.
The hook on a size 2 Mepps is quite large so it can do some damage when it comes to catch and release, I’d maybe use it in flooded rivers. Stick with the size 1. I actually had my biggest river trout on a size 0 Mepps. The trout don’t care what size the spinner is, the big ones take it big or small.
Thanks Adrian. The rivers are great fun, best way to go about it is just go for a walk along them some evening with the Polaroid sunglasses and you will see what’s happening in them 👏 bring a light lure rod or the fly rod, usually the river fish are always willing to feed, it’s always a bit of craic. 👌
Been using 5lb mono this month, maxima ultragreen, been good so far! I don’t think the small spinners work as well with the braid, will try the braid soon just for a comparison, I use the braid for nearly everything else 😅🎣
They have a protective slime around their bodies, if you don’t wet your hands you will damage this and they will probably die after you release them. ☺️🎣
Even the little ones can make for a good day on the water! 👍
That’s for sure 👌
The sound of that reel is beautiful!
Unreal, so smooth and powerful for a light reel also 👏

Been promoting catch and release for years unfortunately some people are too hungry and don’t respect the fisheries.

Was out this evening on pretty good river but not a sign If a fish .I was a few hours too early i think.
Hi TikTok friend, come on we going fishing river Inny
Excellent video senan...really enjoyed it.
Thanks Kieran, trying to do at least one river video a week to mix it up
Great video as always Senan.
Thanks for taking the time to watch 😁👏
Do you only use snaps and no swivels? Doesn’t the line twist when fishing with spinners? Best regards.
Great video lad first 2 cast n in on both
Thanks Sam, it’s fun with they are in them feeding moods 🔥👌👏

I haven’t used Mepps in years ! Not saying they don’t work, it’s just a confidence thing with Raps
Very good, il give the rapalas more of a chance soon, would hate to lose a €13 rapala on the river is all 😂😂👌

@@senanstanleyfishing Thanks so much mate. Keep up the brilliant videos
Great video. Few rivers and streams near home for me, any way you could tell me how I can figure out if there's fish in it?

Are you on the mono or braid man nice fishing

What midsized combo would you suggest for river and boat spinning
Wildhunter have Robinson toshido rods, they are really good, different weights for different lures
wildhunter.ie?sca_ref=3939922.CmiiEIUUGK
Do you think the size one offer don't spin
They will spin, use a good swivel and speed up your retrieve, give the rod a tap at the start to get the spinner working, then keep it constant
It’s only single or double hooks in Kerry
Good stuff
Why do you need to wet your hand before you touch a trout ?
They have a protective slime around their bodies, if you don’t wet your hands you will damage this and they will probably die after you release them. ☺️🎣
do you ever drop shot for trout?
No never !
Do you guide
