Fun Fact: Only 7% of SC players partake in PvP
And yet they cater to the PVPers with so much focus on dog fighting all for the arcade kids. In reality we haven't had an ACE since 1972. The folks that I know that PVP spend about 30 minutes to an hour playing Star Citizen before they log-off to play Tarkov or some other PVP game. 93% of us play for hours and explore multiple game loops and are willing to PVP but we don't live for it.
Why do you think that is?
Is that an official stat from CIG ?
For me the reason is the lag and the FPS drops.
PVP in itself is hard enough, when it's all laggy and choppy it just annoys me too much, it's too easy to get killed that way, even in PVE sometimes where the enemy is a LOT more predictable.
There’s lies, damn lies, and statistics. What are you considering pvp? Commander arena? I hate the PvP game modes. The suck and lobbies take forever to make and usually don’t work. I like PvP in game but it’s hard to find and generally janky with people disappear and bullets not registering. That 7% stat is whack.
PvP is the lifeblood of this game! Even if you never experience it, the possibility of it keeps you engaged!

I love this!!! I got burned (burnt?) out on PVP growing up playing a 💩 ton of team death match and other “run around in circles killing each other” modes. I must be getting too old for that constant stress but having some adventure between altercations looks legit! I know these moments are few and far apart but that’s perfect!
Bro-Bro...you & me both! All that CoD, Battlefield, then finally GTA Online was it for me. Used to run in PVE-only servers in Elite Dangerous, but Star Citizen doesn't have those and I end up gaining some appreciation for the occasional random situations like these.

Hell yeah. Exactly why I play as well. And it's really not that rare. He did get you tho with that self destruct. I pulled that same trick on a party I picked up for a transport beacon; they thought they would hold me up and take my ship. I just kept talking while the self destruct counted down.

THIS is where the potential of star citizen FAR outmatches any other game out there, the natural emergent gameplay that happens in such a smooth manner is simply something entirely unique. That is why Star Citizen remains an extremely valuable and special project within the game industry. Looking at this, one can imagine the stuff that will happen when the player count goes up and more people meet.

it was our ship, not to sure how he got it, I think he shot the door open, parked his ship in ours, and flew it to the DC. it was all good tho, we chatted a bit in global and all had a good laugh about it.
You can shoot open doors on ships that aren't yours? Is that a 3.23 feature or am I just dumb?

Looks cool. Master modes looks horrible though.
I've only ever had adventures like that in Star Citizen and DayZ. These are the only two open world, pve / pvp, game experiences that have no cut scenes, no score boards, no death messages and no other interruptions that break the immersion, while providing an extremely detailed, large scope map. Great vid. Love Coop

I don't have a problem with PvP itself. I have a problem with the kind of obnoxious assholes that come along with it. And also with how it is specifically implemented in SC. I love PvP in other games. I hate it in SC.
