I’m 50 and haven’t skated in over 30 years. No comps are something I could never get my head around for some weird reason. When I’d step my front foot off always seemed my the front would pop up too quick because all of my weight was on the rear once I stepped off. Watching this in slow mo it seems like maybe you sort of take a light “hop” upwards just prior to stepping off? Then while “weightless” you simultaneously plant the front foot on the ground while pressing the tail with the rear foot? Maybe that’s the part I was always missing.
When can I start coming to this place I’ve been getting into skating and insanely getting into my faith and the word of God recently. I’d love to be a part of this place
been skating for 4 years at this point and cant even land the easiest no comply, the best ive been able to do in 4 years is ollie while stationary, i cant even ollie while moving and ive been practising that for 4 years. im done with this stupid sport. just a waste of 4 years of my life, i wish id spent my highschool career doing my homework instead of smoking weed and practising things ill never be good at. maybe id be at a university somewhere doing something actually useful instead of sat here at my computer
Excellent lesson!
No Comply might be easy...but i think they just look cool.
Some very unique no comply variations. I have never seen the blunt slide before and now it’s kinda my favorite. Great video!

Can confirm a guy with no-complies told me exactly that tip a couple weeks ago at the skatepark 👌
(I was doing very sloppy, power slidey ones with back foot in the pocket to avoid that early snap/pop problem)
Cool.
