- Cutting 2x4's on my Woodland Mills HM130 Max and my EpicSaw PowerLift. I discuss and demonstrate a better method of making repeatable cuts. I also show how to quickly set the Bump and Big-Bump settings without going into the settings menu.

Some nice 2+4's :) I lift my log stops up a couple inches for the first couple cuts , if my cant is over 6" then you don't get that shake when you start.

The zero at each cut sure looks like it makes it easier. The shortcut to set the Bump dimension would be much more convienient. On the thicker last cut 2x4s, could you measure, let's say they are 1.75 and then just take .25 off the top? Move the saw head down manually, so that the DRO reads -0.250??
The features on the EpicSaw Lift make it look a lot more useful than the Woodland Mills lift.

Thanks for watching. You are right, you can measure from the bottom and cut the remaining amount off the top.
Nice video. When I am cutting dimensional lumber and get to the last cut I use the saw to mark the cut line. Then I flip the wood over, and measure up from that mark to cut off the excess of the last boards. But like you said, there is always a project where you can use those odd size boards. Keep up the good work.

Great job on the video thank you. How has the accuracy been on the cuts?
I have not tested it with calipers to see exactly how accurate it is but using a tape I have not noticed any inaccuracies. That is something I can run some test on.
Nice work . Im interested in the Tamarac lumbers strength and comparison to regular pine .
The wood is technically a Western Larch and is commonly called Tamarack. Here is a website with good information on the Western Larch. Looks like it is a good construction grade lumber. www.naturallywood.com/species/western-larch/
