    I'm in south Texas and have been following you for 3yrs now and this by far is one of your BEST videos you have uploaded.
    It's basically your bermuda calendar in an easy to follow video simply by using that color scale for the 3 different growth stages, brilliant!
    BTW I have the greenest and weed free yard on my block hands down, thanks to your guidance over the years.

      Found this channel last year, the second year in a new home, and I've had several neighbors comment on how good my yard looked last year.
      This year is gonna be fun, I've got leveling on my list of things to do, just finished a french drain in the front, gotta put one in the back. Then in May I'm gonna be attempting to seed about 10K Sq Ft of back yard that I had graded.

    2 years into our house, went from the worst lawn, to the best in the neighborhood thanks to you and LCN. This spring it's gonna fill in the last spots and be primed to sell.

    Central Texas here. Did my pre-scalp today (as low as push mower goes). Very few weeds. Stayed on top of preemergent in fall and winter. Lawn looks great. Got my 10-10-10 down. Having nee bermuda sod laid in backyard this week. 👍🏼

    I have Bermuda grass & left my lawn long 2.5 just as we went into winter. When you walk on it It matt down. So I trashed (raked)it & it is now March 15th, When do I scalp my lawn? We are now in the end of the dormant stage? I just racked the entire lawn. It is now showing just a little sprig of grass.. Should I leave it alone, & just add the Humichar10-10-10 & fertilizer and scalp later?Thanks

    you always do a great job of re-emphasizing about being able to put down multiple applications on the same day, but my question is 2 part. 1. how often can you put down fungicide; can you really put it down too often? 2. do you recommend changing up fungicide brands? Been hearing the rumor mill to not let the soil get used to just one brand. Thanks as always doc!

    • @HowTowithDoc
      @HowTowithDoc  3 роки тому +2

      Each fungicide will say on the label about re-application times. But it is good to vary the product, much like antibiotics the fungus can grow a resistance

    I've been out of the country for a few months on business. I came home and now it's full of weeds and I'm in North Texas in the Transition Period. If I can't broadly spray for weeds, what do I do? My yard looks like "your Worlds Ugliest Lawn".

    My problem, finger size holes and worm castings, making mounds in the lawn. Earthworms i think but i did see 1 caterpillar looking thing when i was hand pulling clover up.
    Im brushing down the mounds with my feet, is it something to be concerned about and try to stop ? About 1 more week in south louisiana should stay in the H70 to L50's .
    Scalp, PE competed.

    Hi Doc, I put down weed kill pre emergent granule on Feb 24th, is that ok? I'm in same temp zone as you. Also a few days ago I also sprayed some, is that fine? Btw burning the bermuda part really got to me. 😂

    Hey Doc, two questions: 1) When using the chicken feed can there be an issue with attracting animals that can damage your lawn? I have (among other wildlife) turkeys that wander through my yard throughout the day. 2) Is there a link for the microbial pack? BTW, looks like you're feeling much better after your illness. Stay well, Tom

    So this is the 3rd time I have watched this, I have a question. My Bermuda grass is extremely thin and patchy, can I push it early one season and keep it really short and fertilize often to help make a thicker lawn? I am in central Arkansas about the same climate as you in Georgia.

      No need to seed. Watch the seeding videos we have done. Put down PE and then push the lawn to fill in.

    If this makes any sense - I am in the middle of dormant and waking up - still brown with just a little green here and there - but too early to say it is waking up especially since the temperature just dropped back down to 45 degrees over the past 2 days

    So you say your spray bottles are 20 to 1 but the product you recommend, Image, calls for 4 tablespoons to a gallon which is .031 ratio vs. is less than tour bottles 20:1 or a .05 ratio. Am I missing something?

    • @HowTowithDoc
      @HowTowithDoc  3 роки тому

      Yes you are missing the point. If each bottle covers 2000 sq feet, and you have 10,000 sq ft, you'll need 5 bottles. that's one gallon and one quart. Has nothing to with matching ratios. Use the right amount for 10,000 sq ft.
