See Lego? THIS IS WHAT WE EXPECT from motors this days! Small and powerfull!
You could build a minifigure scale van that drive's and steers
Steering mechanism in small scale is difficult, but would still be cool
@@Timoundryan I have looked a MOC bus in minifigure scale with electronic steering system.
@@Timoundryan Actualy designers of Sluban cars made some interesting solution from relatively common parts
@@SeconYan with a mini motor
U could before too. Check the german lego youtube channel "chriss p" for example. You'll find tons of mini rc vehicles, tho, with micromotors and rcx motors.
It's amazing how small the tank is
i made a tank exact same size except its arduino nano and 2 9g servos i also haver that in my profile
Those motors would really cut down the difficulty on some mocs, speacially trucks
Agreed, and I feel that L-Scale trains could usw these nicely as well - assuming they can be geared well to speed them up a bit!
Also tanks and tracked vehicles in general.
Fun fact: one of my stem teachers helped invent the original circuit cube and has hundreds of them for us to use.
They are much better, than i thought, i expected weak motors for only small mocs
I just found out Circuit Cubes was a thing, and I gotta say I'm stunned by how cute the models are, with all those seemingly unmatching, vibrant colors. They're just adorable with that ! LEGO will usually keep the colors subdued and uniform in their Technic models. Also worth noting how much studded Technic CC use in their models, definitely a welcome change, since LEGO these days go 100% studless.
Might have to get me one of these and see if I can't make a decent moc
3:00 gear speed and framerate match, cool effect
Really cool! Thanks for the review Sariel!!!
Wow, this stuff looks great.
I wish someone would make RC bases for cars in minifig scale, that would something I really want to see. But this is still absolutely amazing, such a small package, it makes stuff so much easier. That really opens up some new possibilities in building small scale models :D
Thanks for this video, I've never heard of it until now.
Got 3½ minutes spare ?
Here's Jang with a minifig size RC car:
ua-cam.com/video/j4D2vNrDhTI/v-deo.html
Still too big to make a decent minifig scaled car, I think. But it's ok for a truck. ^^
0:24 Mercedes + control plus, i wonder what that would be
Nice! I was waiting for this video!
This looks like a well-thought product.
0:26 Control + Mercedes set 👀👀👀
Ohhh it could be wow
Arocs maybe?
@@sabiha_. Arcos not control plus, its probably the new zeros coming in October I think
It says control plus on the box. It's probably the zetros or the 4x4 crawler.
The fine print on the box shows the Mercedes logo!
8:49 When I think of Poland, I think of these kind of chairs :-D
Great! Helpful video!!! Thanks
Cant wait for the 42129 review. :)
July 16th
With the music playing in the back makes me feel that it’s Lego from the future.
The music vibe me the most here.
Idk how to describe it but I like it
This would be truly amazing with more reach and more motors operated at once. That power is something.
Ciesze się że My jako polacy mamy kogoś takiego jak Ty. Dziękuję Ci za ten filmik i prezentacje. Mam nadzieje że Ci się układa i życzę wszystkiego dobrego
the teaser at 0:26 😍😍
I definitely have to get these for my train mocs, I can hide the motor in the cassis now without having to use the L motor and making the cassis weak
thanks for that film - i was thinking about those - with them u can fianlly build some minifig scale rc models. and u were right - they were strong :O - they was able to pull batmobil - thats something for such small motor
This is so cool
The fact we have aftermarket lego is fucking great
I'll consider picking one of these up when they come with real radios/transmitters (I come from the hobby grade R/C world), and if they could include ones that are proportional, that would be awesome!
the biggest thing thats annoyed me about lego is that they keep putting out great systems that are phone based. i get the line of thinking in this age, but i too would really like nothing more than a dinky hobby system inside lego casings. even if it uses the old crystals, you could easily make a very basic 4 channel proportional setup where each port is pwm so it can run a servo or esc with the same signal, a remote where each control is a separate unit that plugs into the main transmitter to build customized remotes, and have the whole deal come out to about 100 bucks (not including lego tax lol)
Why? Lego sets are so brittle that using them as proper rc is pointless, my lego lambo is literally dismantling itself under its own weight :)
@@randomnickify itll probably take a few more dedicated purpose pieces (like the wheel hubs for example) to make reliability a thing, but until we have a system to test that boundary theres no real reason to push it
My wife just got these!!! Very cool.
I AM SO GOING TO HAVE TO GET THIS!
I wish you can do a buying guide for motors in 2021, the prices have gone back up lately and I think it's cheaper to get these instead lol
I think the on/bluetooth feature is something that lego should put in the new hubs because it lets you test prototypes without using your cellphone all the time
0:24 I wonder which box that is…
Cool. And how long can it move?
realy cool
9:40 cieszę się, że jesteś Polakiem, super materiały
It should be pretty easy to make adapters to use these motors with other controllers, or this controller with other motors.
The programming functionality would be great if the controller had a few inputs. Something like the older yellow RCX with its 3 sensor inputs.
Great video as always! You are the reference... hope you UA-cam problems go away soon!!!
This might be a good system for making the special technical vehicles (Bugatti Chiron, Porsche 911 and such) motorized. Super compact and seeing by torque would be good. Maybe two or three chained correctly could probably get some good speed. With the Bluetooth range you might be able to open the controller up and solder a longer antenna onto the Bluetooth receiver (should be labeled on the circuit board). All in all this seems like a good system for motorizing many technic sets without sacrificing internals.
9:37 Okocim is the best lol.
love it when the XL motor just destroys everything :D
One thing I like about it is that the wires are detachable. It really annoys me how easy are power function cables to start breaking in a couple months, and good luck replacing those(I failed, unfortunately). Plus changing the length without adding any extensions is great
Odd thing is, I own dozens of PF motors with wires and literally none of them broke, even though a few got chewed on by hamsters. How do you guys break them?
@@searme I don't know, you are just more gentle or something. Mine always break after a lot of use, and I have to bend the wire the right way for the motor to work.
@@searme if the cable gets yanked once, the connections inside the heads break. they used really cheap knife clip things that push onto the wire, and the blades cut through the casing to make contact with the wire inside. its great for testing or something, not so great for longevity, and theres no way to reseat them if they do pull out a bit
Interesting! Never happened to me.
@@lifeofme3196 exactly. I need to repair my m motor because of this too. It's an easy fix, just makes the wire a cm shorter
5:54 nice teaser
These would be great to make fully motorised builds with motorised gear-changing and everything. Much smaller than the lego motors and it won't take up a slot in the control + hub which only has 4.
nice a may buy one. also this may be off topic but what set is that box for? its sus
Do you think a pair of those could drive the technic supercars or the "supercar light" models
If it can pull the Batmobile set, it should have no problem moving the technic cars. Might not be fast, but it’ll move.
Do they have, or will they bring out a servo motor for steering?
Control via Bluetooth without a physical remote is not the best way to do this! Is the App compatible to a Play Station Controler?
But I really like the possibility to just put the unit into powering the motors without any need for a remote. Lots of possibilities for static models! For example something similar to the Lego roller coaster.
Smaller and better than Legos PF and Control+ anyway!
Muffin is getting a bit white-haired, is he ok?
that technic box, mercedes benz acting as a slope for tracked thingy, is it from zetros? :D
Of course it is! It's a good teaser!
This looks really cool for my uses, but how about some servos? And can you connect the small motor to the poles as the 4th motor if you make the cables for that or are those somehow different and won't work? I would love to use single controller/battery + 4 small motors to make a mini tank.
Yes, you can connect the small motor to the poles. Remember that poles work as another A port, so it still only allows controlling 3 motors independently.
@@searme Bummer, I hoped this would mean 4th motor ehh. So for a tank with gun elevation you need second controller...
looking on their site, I can't really find if they ship to Europe, and if so what the shipping rates are. Do you have any idea on options there Sariel?
Not really, but maybe see if somebody is reselling at eBay?
Amazon... BUT with shipping and taxes the price is double! At least for Italy... damn!!!!
@@mdani76 oof, then its not that interesting for me at the moment
@@MathijsHeideveld86 neither for me... what a pity...
@@mdani76 www.amazon.com/Circuit-Cubes-Compatible-Electronic-Construction/dp/B07431B9SP
Any info about stacking multiple controllers? Like, can you add more than one controller in the app?
I don't think so.
Hi Sariel, thanks for the great review!
Two things though: It looks like the axle hole of the transparent small motor is not one whole stud deep. Is that correct? How does it affect the "buildability"?
Also, was the motor that got ripped apart by the XL-motor broken afterwards? Or were you able to fix it?
Thanks a lot in advance!
The motor wasn't broken, I just had to put it back in the case, and the axle hole is almost whole stud deep, I think the difference is less than 1 mm.
@@searme Awesome, thanks for the quick reply!
That’s pretty cool might have to get one of those how many of those small clear motors come in one kit?
Depends on the kit. Click the link in the video description and you'll know.
@@searme thanks
Would like to try and make a remote control tank
Nobody's gonna talk about the Curcuit Cibes kit? XD
0:42
The lego box 2021 Mercedes by chance???
At 0:45 is written Curcuit Cibes instead Circuit Cubes. Anyway nice review!
I really wish that Lego would create an aluminium lego Technic with powerful motors
Nah Have adidas boot
Świetne te silniki, super recenzja/prezentacja.
Jaka ich cena?
Widzę że zetros ma doskonale pudełko
Ceny są pod linkiem w opisie.
Ok dzięki
maybe they could fit in the 42110 land rover defender (i know crazy idea)
2:00 Does 160rpm fast enough for a belly rub?
Will these motors be added to the motor comparison tables and gear calculator?
No. They're not LEGO motors and I have no way to measure their torque.
I have longed for this
This would be perfect to motorize the Lego speed champions sets.
The urus and the Jag suv maybe

Waiting to Zetros review :D
July 16th
Hey Paul. I hope I’m not bothering you with this question but could you possibly tell me if the 42129 set is good or bad?
I can tell you all about it starting July 16th.
@@searme oh ok thanks so much. :)
Very nice, thought the wires and cables seem like a bit of an afterthought compared to how good the rest of it looks. also micro USB in 2021? really?
was over joyed when i saw these......but realized theres no physical controller (allready to many apps on phones )...so will keep looking and waiting.. :)
Now, you can make hamster sized technic sets, yay!
Thank you for your review, Sariel! I believe this wasn't mentioned anywhere in the video - what is the battery capacity on this? How long does it last with, say, 2 motors running?
Thank you!
It looks roughly like up to 2 hours but probably depends on the load.
Can the motor's power be increased, and if so how and by how much?
You can gear it down if you want more torque but it's already quite powerful for its size.
how loud are those motors compared to the lego ones?
Quite silent.
If the Colosseum was on wheels he’d have had him!
I made an arduino version of this!!
Do they have rotation sensor?
No.
if they made a thing than you can combine those "blue box" (to make a 6 motor used car) i will run to buy it x)
The creators if this system made a mod for the Landspeeder.
Are the motors deafening like the PF motors?
Not at all.
@@searme ok. I will hopefully get a kit soon :)
What's the retail on one of those ?
The link is in the video description.
Can I connect my PS5 controller and use it to control it?
Time for articulated Mecha !?!
6/10 not enough hamsters
Can you make a tutorial or just a normal video where you modify the new(ish) lego technic rescue boat to make it rc with these circuit cubes please?
Which rescue boat?
@@searme lego technic 42120
Sorry, I'll pass.
@@searme ok that's fine. I'll try it myself :D
Much better than Lego motors
At 0:27 there's a 42129 box - when will you review that?
- A desperate 42129 fan
Same date I shared two weeks ago: ua-cam.com/channels/UH5uajsvjan8wE6GWOrRJg.htmlcommunity?lb=Ugz2b-SM0IMFZlsduPR4AaABCQ
@@searme Ah ok thanks
Too bad, that the main reason for choosing a remote option for my builds is the number of motors and how they have to work...3 motors is way too low... My next version of my tank already needs at least 9...
How much does it cost
The link is in the video description.
What's the price?
The link is in the video description.
Meanwhile Lego makes "Technic" sets that are 60 cm long and have just one motor or no motor at all.
Do you think this is better than lego new motor
Which LEGO new motor?
@@searme sp l.
brilliant video of interesting product. I'm sure there will be loads of purists who hate it through - "oh no it's not Lego so we must hate it" ! Makes me laugh, when Lego themselves can't solve a problem they churn out new bricks. If someone else does it, or cuts/drills some existing bricks it's some kind of sacrilege.
White gloves would look better in my opinion
0:42 the hamster is dead😭
That's even older hamster, the same photo as at the end of the videos saying Thumbs up
Hey Sariel, why do you wear black gloves in all your reviews?
I ran out of the pink ones.
Obviously fingerprints on the original boxes reduce the reselling price!
It's fake lego with a purpose. I really like the idea!
Fantastic, it could kill Lego‘s powered up, or similar old school less functional, expensive ideas.
ooo, memes !
I'm gonna buy 1.
Ahem 10. I mean 10. Missed a zero.
