Great video I have that issue that was the first kerrang I ever bought.i got rid of all my kerrangs then I saw that issue in a flea market so I bought it again but mine doesn’t have the maiden poster.i would like those first ten years single but they go for big money now cheers dean
Yeah I see the Maiden box set on ebay for over 200 quite a lot. I passed on a 99% complete Terrorizer magazine collection last year. They only want £30 it meant a drive to Glasgow
Cool video Mike , yea it definitely looked like eddy was dressed as Santa . Boy you guys had it awesome back in the day with all those posters in the magazines . The Vain , Metallica , and Maiden one . Cheers 🤘
I totally thought that was a Christmas issue , even the KERRANG! logo is in red & white ! Another cool flip through , sure wish I would of kept all my Rock & Metal magazines !
@@metalmickey completely agree, I was livid. Just all these grunge bands in their cords and check shirts with hair hanging infront of their faces😂 killed off my favourite era of music.
The 90s were still an honorary part of the 80s. I think Paul made his own mistakes, he pissed his Maiden golden egg up the wall so I don't think they owe him anything financially, I'm a hard bastard arnt I. Seeing bands like the Red Hot Chili Peppers in Kerrang just about sums up that magazine to me, even you couldn't help yourself in the thumbnail by wielding a Metal Hammer! Ample Clevage is a 10 out of 10 band name.
Well if Thunder's Dirty Love was out at that time that would be around the time I was off school sick with bronchitis one time because I remember I asked my mum if she'd pick that single up for me one lunch time and she did. I just recall her bringing it home for me when I was ill at the time, lol. If DiAnno was struggling seriously with his finances I don't see why Maiden cant reach out a little bit to help him... but I don't know, is there much bad blood between them? More memories.... good stuff.
3:27 first two Iron Maiden albums are great. Bruce Dickinson has his own totally different style which is fantastic but I think Paul Di'anno gave Maiden this raw nasty edge with his vocals that I always liked.
Hi Mike!! seen RHCP and FNM in this issue is signal of what was going to happend in heavy music in a couple of years..... I do believe Maiden would have struggle with Paul in the band and i don't think the band owe him anything after been fired, yes he has a lot of issues to deal with, hope he is doing well now. Cheers
Good stuff. Not too sure of what to make on bands helping out former members. Like maiden helped out with Burr, so I guess it depends on how they departed. I enjoy Lita's albums, but I'm not sure what guitar parts are hers' or the other guy in the band.
I take the comment Ian Hunter and Mick Ronson I don't who they are was a joke? Ian Hunter from Mott The Hoople, and Mick Ronson guitarist with David Bowie's spiders from Mars.
Cool flick through 🤘Paul D was a duffer for signing his royalties away for only 30k, prob spent it all on booze and drugs. RHCP I’m a fan of up until Blood sugar sex magic. I’m also a fan of Ample Cleavage 😊😂🍻 the new Mr Bungle with Mike Patton is awesome, you should check it out.
Funny how you mentioned 1990 still felt like the 80s I think decades run together more now than they did even back then. I feel like we're still basically in the 2000s basically everything is shit and has been for a long time.
@@metalmickey Yeah. Ok he's an airline pilot, fencer etc but well pompous. Reaĺly can't stand him actually (sure he's bothered!) And he replaced a better vocalist imo. Anyway Cheers Mike 👍
Old iron maiden is the best I'm not into thier new stuff I just can't get into I tried to listen to brave new world just did not clicked with me I'm like that with Judas priest as well I can't bring myself to listen to the new stuff
Love those old magazines! I´ve got tons of them and pull them out of the closet once in a while. Thank you for showing them!
Yeah they are good for filling out the channel now and again I think.
Thumbnails getting better and better man 🤣. Back then Iron Maiden already looked like a marketing machine, so interesting to look back at this stuff.

Yeah it certainly was better than it it is nowadays. The world's changed a lot too.
Stryper are still together despite oz fox illness, they are amazing now
Yeah I hear good reports about them actually I don't own anything myself though
I totally thought that was a Christmas issue , even the KERRANG! logo is in red & white ! Another cool flip through , sure wish I would of kept all my Rock & Metal magazines !
They are OK to look back on but quite honestly after I do these videos I do see them are surplus to requirements.
Great item. Iron Maiden forever!!
Mott the hoople ( Ian hunter and mick ronson) mick was David Bowies guitarist
Completely agree 1990 was still like the 80’s it was the explosion 💥 of Nirvana that changed it all in 91
Yeah it all went to shit lol

Yeah I can imagine some terrible bands in the mid 90s being covered. REM lol.

Haha good memory Bev. Love the first couple of Thunder albums. I think Paul Dianno has lots of problems and not just with money.
3:27 first two Iron Maiden albums are great. Bruce Dickinson has his own totally different style which is fantastic but I think Paul Di'anno gave Maiden this raw nasty edge with his vocals that I always liked.
Yeah I would have loved a 3rd Paul Dianno fronted album

Yeah Bruce was an upgrade no doubt. Take care Christian

No I'm not sure either. I do like the Lita album though
Stage dolls toured with magnum

No, I'd not know them and now that you've said that I don't know those bands either lol
Plus im looking through Kerrang, them old duffers should'nt even be in it

I heard that Mr Bungle a few months ago when I came out I didn't like it. Yeah Paul D was a bit of a loser really.
Funny how you mentioned 1990 still felt like the 80s I think decades run together more now than they did even back then. I feel like we're still basically in the 2000s basically everything is shit and has been for a long time.
I'd not argue with you there lol. The music scene as been stagnant for years and years
Mick Ronson awesome guitarist (David Bowie)
Hell' o M.M. creepy carnevil INFESTEDEVIL is COMING to town. . . But for all your channel a Very :
" Helpy Festevil 2021 " !
😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
Yeah bang on Mike. Iron maiden wouldn't have been successful if it wasn't for Paul.
Brilliant band but what ive heard in interviews and stuff. Dont really like em much.
I think Bruce can be a bit of a tosser but I think the others seem OK

Oh I actually love new Priest. Maiden are definitely better in the 80s tho
@@metalmickey I have to agree with you on that
