I've been a huge fan of the blog from day #1 and I enjoyed the more professional style of the vlog when Robin was involved with the filming, BUT this new style of the vlog has a more raw, goofy, down-to-earth quality that I'm loving!! Keep up the great work man! It's cool to see the behind the scenes of a professional climber's life style and trips.
Robin did a good job filming and editing your vlogs. But honestly I like it more when you do all that stuff by yourself, so it is way more authentic. Keep it going ;)
I think Magnus' personality comes through when he is working on it, but I also really liked Robin. Would have been cool if the vlogs had been a team effort between Robin and Magnus.
i guess Im asking the wrong place but does anybody know of a way to log back into an instagram account..? I was stupid lost the login password. I love any tricks you can give me
I like the way you talk to the camera. Funny, and feels real. The little silly things funny to see as well ... lets be honest, we all know we do them. Glad you keep them in, lightens the mood :)
Keep it up. Its fun seeing you try new things too. Either its with the vlog or climbing. Learning new stuff is always fun. Hope to see more tradclimbing too. I liked this vlog alot.
I love the rawness of these videos. The content you are doing today is also great, but I really like this stuff. Also, always love coffee in the vids! Of any kind... :-P
Great work with the vlog since Robin left! Always liked the vlogs, but to me this is even better. It's so much more personal and raw. Keep it up :) And fun seing you in my part of the country and in the areas I climb :)
Magnus - you can pick up dummy batteries for your camera model and then connect this up to an external battery. Will last 10x longer than a battery or more depending on the size you get. Can work out cheaper than camera branded batteries too.
As someone very new to climbing who hasn't been able to do trad yet or any hand jamming techniques, it's still amazing to see footage like your cell phone climb. Thanks for including it, despite your concern the footage may suck.
It's sad that Robin is not doing the videos with you any longer (I emphasize a lot with him because in my current life I work doing the same as he does), but seems you're doing well with editing Magnus! The fact that you're doing it all alone just brings more value to the whole thing. Also, you got kind a fresh and natural style, which I think it suits blogs perfectly! (good music choices!!) So happy to see your videos and I hope you can continue with this for a long time!
You're doing an awesome job doing the vlog by yourself! Your camera skills are rapidly improving, too. A quick camera tip: you can alter how the colors appear by changing your white balance setting. Auto white balance is usually great, but when you have strong orange light like at the beginning, AWB has trouble showing the real colors. Manually changing the white balance will allow you to remove the orange glue, and get the colors back to normal.
I really like this episode best. I feel like you really showed your personality. I also liked the pacing of the editing. guess I have a short attention span. Nice work!
This might easily be your best vlog so far! Eventhough I have always enjoyed the "old" vlogs as well, I prefer your own style a bit more: less serious, more personal. Keep it up!
Really nice vloging Magnus! Good editing as well! I know it may sound not that practical but ever tried climbing with a go pro? It would be good here since you wear a helmet, also getting a "flying drone camera " would be amazing! they may cost a lot though. Good job and go on making good content! greetings from Israel
dont undersell the exisiting footage, i really enjoyed the angle from the iphone footage. gives a really good sense of height and how long the route is.
Hey Magnus! What supplements are you taking? If you could go over the supplements and why you take them that would be super helpful for those of us who are lost as to what we should or should not be taking!
Hey Magnus, i really enjoyed this Vlog! I started climbing a couple of month ago and since then im checking a lot of climbing vids :) And i have to say your Vlog is the best out here on youtube! Btw do you use some sort of protein shake ? keept it going!
Jonegil's dyno was phenomenal! The candlelit commentary was a cosy and creative solution, but I really wanted to see a little more climbing footage. Maybe it's time for an intern, possibly a young un from the climbing gym whose camera is fused to their hands anyway, or maybe necessity is the mother of invention and you'll figure out your own thing. Either way, looking forward to the next one! You got this!
This vlog was amazing! Love the fast forward bits! @magnusmidtbø I also would love to know what program you use to edit! You seem to be able to do cool edits relatively fast so 8d love to know
One of the best vlogs so far....I enjoyed a lot all your comments between climbing shots.
it was really nicely edited. all the back and forth in the video. it was good entertainment!
Agreed. Robins edits were great but this is a bit more personal
I love the goofiness that we don't get when Robin is filming like "Get your shit together Magnus". Love the vlogs
I miss seeing you climb outside, Magnus. Hopefully someday soon!

I disagree. I much preferred it when it was basically a duo with Robin. Oh well tastes are different I guess
Music is also much cooler
I think Magnus' personality comes through when he is working on it, but I also really liked Robin. Would have been cool if the vlogs had been a team effort between Robin and Magnus.

@Kylo Stefan Instablaster =)
Considering what you had to work with, you did an incredible job with the editing and the narrative. This video is your most entertaining yet!
I like the way you talk to the camera. Funny, and feels real. The little silly things funny to see as well ... lets be honest, we all know we do them. Glad you keep them in, lightens the mood :)
the lack of EDM songs between climbing shots makes this a much more enjoyable experience
Perfect because of all the 'imperfections'! Music and editing in particular = real fun to watch!
"Falling on trad is always fun to watch, especially when a piece pops"
Spoken like a true sport climber.
One of your best vlogs
Magnus, you're doing and amazing job with these commentary cuts and the audio is amazing.
Keep it up. Its fun seeing you try new things too. Either its with the vlog or climbing. Learning new stuff is always fun. Hope to see more tradclimbing too. I liked this vlog alot.

This was a really cool and personal style of video. Loved it from start to finish! Great job Magnus :D
Just seeing this now, love the energy in this vlog
Magnus, just started watching you VLOG and you are smashing it. Looking forward to catching up with the other episodes!
Great vlog. Battery problems notwithstanding. Way to turn lemons into lemonade with the personal reflections and a little air drum jamming
I'm from Mexico and i've seen every single one of your blogs... i find them really interesting. Keep it going Magnus!
I was really loving the music you used in this vlog. It gave it a very relaxed and chill feeling. Keep it up Magnus.
i like the vlog a lot! it seems like we get to know you as a person better because you're commenting and doing it all by yourself, very nice.
Great work with the vlog since Robin left! Always liked the vlogs, but to me this is even better. It's so much more personal and raw. Keep it up :) And fun seing you in my part of the country and in the areas I climb :)
One of my favorites so far!
Just coming back to this one! Despite it being less polished than your new stuff I actually really love it. Really appreciate the trad content
One of the best vlog i've seen! Keep up the good work!
I don't normally comment but I am enjoying the new style of videos!
You were really creative with how you handled the video with what type of content you had!
Very nice vlog Magnus! I loved it before and love it now! Keep it up =)

I like your old blogs. Keep it up Magnus
I really like this episode best. I feel like you really showed your personality. I also liked the pacing of the editing. guess I have a short attention span. Nice work!

Nice solution. Hope you keep on vlogging.

Really nice vlog !
Don't worry I kinda like the new format, it's more personal. Keep it up bro :D
this seems like a good learning experience
dont undersell the exisiting footage, i really enjoyed the angle from the iphone footage. gives a really good sense of height and how long the route is.
still such a good vlog with the commentary
Loved your vlogs before robin left and after even more!❤
Commenting to support
Just want to clarify, if it's placed well, trad protection isn't going to fail on you short of some freak event like the rock breaking
Best intro yet!-)
❤️
"My hands feel like meat cakes." :D
In Norway there is a dish which directly translates to "meat cakes"
Hey Magnus! What supplements are you taking? If you could go over the supplements and why you take them that would be super helpful for those of us who are lost as to what we should or should not be taking!
Great video!! What supplements did you brought with you on a trip?
Would have been sick to see the fall!
Hey Magnus, i really enjoyed this Vlog! I started climbing a couple of month ago and since then im checking a lot of climbing vids :) And i have to say your Vlog is the best out here on youtube! Btw do you use some sort of protein shake ? keept it going!
he magnus. What camera are u using? and does it make good, maybe even professional, photos?
