This video inspired me to re-spec my character and do a "life leech" build too. I'm a old dude (46) and my reflexes aren't what they used to be anymore, so I need a way to defeat the thing that doesn't require too much dodging and switching between melee and ranged weapon and all that. The more mindless button mashing the better, hehe. I call it "The Flailing Death" build. (A wordplay on "The Wailing Death", for those who don't get the reference.) I'm level 17 too now and don't have as many points in Constitution and Strength, but I do have better gear and more HP, so I hope that compensates. I have easily killed a bunch of Fellbrutes and a Scavenger Matron with the build while leveling up, so I hope I will be well prepared for the Wyvern. (Including the Fellbrute in the capital city. I just walked through that guy too, so maybe that is a good sign.) Maybe I will still try to farm some more Skill Points to get that general 10% damage reduction skill in the Tank tree first and see if I can get some HP Regeneration meal cooked for me, before I start my first try. I also tried that one skill in the Magic tree that supposedly gives you a 20% chance to reflect 50% of damage back to the enemy as fire damage. Hope that works too.
When he does the roar that summons the bugs, if you arrow him in the mouth, he gets stunned and takes extra damage - i dodged everything until that chance, and killed him in 3 phases. Went from wiping constantly, to one shotting him once I found out about the arrow.

I almost threw my PC out the window with this place. The insta-death lava stuff is so annoying.
If you got to the north east of the city there are some hills to put a flame and can just port in and glide in to the entrance to dragon.

I'm all for avoiding the enemies. I have to say I've done some pretty crazy things to avoid the games storyline.

Hmmm. The game allows any build to use a bow for ranged attacks. Why did you choose to not? It makes the game too easy?

I recommend bringing a stamina food and/or potion while also being rested while doing guides. Video would have been more enjoyable that way.
