      As a lifelong Seattle area resident myself, I also remember reading about this case online, but moreso I remember being HORRIFIED that some women were saying in the comment section of the Seattle Times that they didn't believe the killer to be guilty, because as they put it, he was "too good looking" and "wouldn't need" to catfish anyone. I simply cannot fathom how some people can think that one's level of attractiveness is somehow a reflection of their capacity for evil!

    Killing someone is bad enough, but when they dismember the body?
    That just takes it to a whole different level of derangement!
    How awful for her daughters to lose their mother. Only to then find out she was dismembered.
    It's like killing her over & over! How horrible to live with something like this!
    Love your channel!

    Here we go again! Somebody please explain to me how a man who killed and dismembered a woman only gets twenty seven and a half years in prison???? 😮 Ingrid's children will be adult women by the time John Charleton gets out. Explain please what type of message that sends to them???? The man has an obvious criminal history that showed increasing escalation and his own parents were afraid of him! Why is Charleton not behind bars or in a mental institution for life?!?!

    • @AwfulDog1

      He would have so-called mitigating factors that were beyond his control eg alcoholism or mental illness or bad role models as a child etc … and he may have said how very sorry he was…! Seriously, that would get you ten years off a twenty yr sentence in Australia most of the time.

      @ItsNeverAManequin 8 місяців тому +1

      Tev: Your logic is hard to understand. The message here is that strangers and those close to us can be dangerous. What if she was being abused and broke her vows to protect herself. Or her husband broke his vows for the same reason? Staying together isn't always healthy. In fact, most murders are done by the spouse of the victim. So?

    • @GreenTT-l1l
      @GreenTT-l1l 8 місяців тому

      So you’re implying that if she had ‘done the right thing’ (in your opinion) and stayed with her former husband, this crime would never have happened, which you think is her fault because you are against the idea of divorce (which you have no right to presume anything about in her or anyone’s situation, by the way). That’s like someone saying, ‘I am against the eating of animals. If Joe Shmoe hadn’t eaten that burger, he wouldn’t have choked to death, which I am considering to be his fault.” Are you beginning to see how your logic, if you can call it that, might be flawed? I would refrain from making comments about other people’s intelligence.
