Him and R'tas team up with chief against the banished would be great, but I think R'tas is wanted by ONI for destroying a UNSC ship while hunting down brutes.

In the book Halo: Bad Blood which picks up at the end of the game, it's mentioned that the Master Chief and the Arbiter ended up spending the night catching up with each other before the gang left to meet up with the Infinity in the morning. Before they left, the Arbiter promised that they'd defeat Cortana together as they had done the Covenant.
@@anouaressanoussioh gods I hope not. I was just happy that they managed to find a half decent way to stop that story line. I’m not saying the writing to get rid of Cortana in infinite was excellent or even good, but they made the right choice not whipping a dead horse.

The others are still highly trained soldiers though? Right? I haven't played five but I wouldn't think you'd let just any random soldier become a Spartan. They should all be confident because they're treated like gods in this game, being able to just run through a huge battle with no issues

Specifically, Vale was recruited straight from training exercises rather than from active duty like most Spartan-IVs. Having her scared at the start of the game and comforted by the others, then later in the game having her confidence grow and during the last few missions her being unafraid would be a nice opportunity for character growth.

I don't remember the specifics, but as far as I'm aware she was one of the UNSC's experts on Elite culture. (Which is why she carries a Plasma Pistol as default rather than a Magnum) Besides, most Spartan-4s were just Spartan-3s, ODSTs, and veteran marines. I'm pretty sure Buck was one of the best soldiers the UNSC had though.

To be fair though, and this is supported by the H2A video files you can collect, Locke’s reasons for wanting to assassinate the Arbiter in the last were justified. Don’t forget that the Arbiter was a Fleet Commander in the Covenant and was responsible for billions of human deaths. Had Alpha Halo not been destroyed, the Arbiter could’ve been humanity’s demise.
Not really; Halsey definitely did have and deserved a more emotional connection with Chief. She's basically his mother and has known him for like 42 years at this point whereas the Arbiter has known Chief for a month tops. That said, the Arbiter 100% deserved more interactions with Chief. According to the novel, "Bad Blood" Chief and Blue Team after that final cutscene ate dinner and told war stories well into the early hours of the next morning

But what made those two great was the people around them that played off them like noble team with six and the other ODSTs with Rookie Locke's team were all generic and boring.
It would've been great if Arbiter approached Chief and Locke stepped forward in a defensive manner and Chief just walks forward as well saying, "He is my brother" and actually greets Arbiter
It would have been even better if Chief would just casually have locked up Lockes armour tipped him over and then greeted Arbiter with "good to see at least one real warrior"
the way Halsey refers to chief by simply name compared to Locke just being another solider is something I never really noticed. chief is more than just a machine or another soldier and well Halsey would know it best
Halsey selected chief personally. She was the one that promoted him to squad leader during the spartan training. He is her greatest success. Combined with cortana, he saved humanity with the assistance of the arbiter later on.
I mean she basically sees Spartan IVs as an insult to her Spartan Program, which it is. A random soldier with better equipment can never hold up with a Spartan II.
Seeing Spartans/humans and Sangheli fighting side by side is just amazing. Hatred at the start of the war turned into respect by the middle and then into friendship at the end

Elites still see Humans as their inferiors, since most Humans aren't warriors by elite standards. The only Humans they would respect are (some) Spartans since they are just as strong and capable fighters.
In Bad Blood, it talks about how Chief and Thal actually spent the night catching up. The pair started as enemies only to become brothers. THAT is Halo, not the crap that Paramount is spewing.
Love how arbiter just straight up tells locke that chief is blatantly better than any other Spartan includeding him. Just shows the respect that he has for his former enemy and how little he thinks of Locke which who can blame for that last point
I'm going to say this, the Arbiter needs his very own game where he's is the main character. My idea is that it would be like a blend between the previous Halo Games and the 2018 God of War game along with a few things. 1. it would be an Open-World where you can travel to different planets, command armies/fleets and battle enemies such as the Flood and The Banished. 2. Like 2018 God of War, you can upgrade and customize with new armor sets and weapons throughout your journey. 3. You can play the Campaign in either Single or Co-Op like in the previous Halo Games. 4. You'll also be able to switch weapons from 1st Person/Shooter to 3rd Person/Melee.
@@davidbarker3374 I mean it's not THAT ambitious of an idea. Most of it already exists in Halo Infinite, just add weapon/armor upgrades and more of an emphasis on AI allies. Infinite already does the Open World formula well enough as a first attempt so it's not like, too much of a change except maybe more environments.
Spartans are the star of the show ultimately. It would however, be possible to have gameplay where you either play as master chief or the arbiter. Maybe have a half spartan and half elite campaign were both perspectives of the story are shown kinda like halo 2 OR you get to pick which race you want to pick at the start and you play an entire campaign as one of the two races.
I hate how Arbiter didn't have a single word with Chief in this cutscene. What were they thinking? Chief and Arbiter went through so much together to not say a single word to each other
The fact that a character so great as the arbiter was only featured for 4 1/2 minutes of cut screen time is insulting to the character. Halo 5 was upsetting.
Well, as far as i know Arbiter didn't appear in Halo Infinite, but maaybe a DLC including more content could make him show, maybe a Sword's of Sangheilos group/fleet arrives to Zeta Halo to rescue the remaining forces of the UNSC or something like that. Or better, in the next main Halo game have a co op campaing with arbiter as active character like Halo 3, or a Spin Off of Arbiter during the story of Infinite. I dunno there are a lot of options
While the Arbiter wasn't in Infinite, a few days ago a new book was announced to be coming out called Halo: Outcasts and it features the Arbiter and Olympia Vale from Fireteam Osiris going to the planet Netherop in search of an artifact that supposedly can help to defeat Cortana while an outside force manipulates them. I'm guessing that that's Nizat 'Kvarosee and I'm hoping that it FINALLY brings an end to his character.
What made the last cutscene annoying for me was that it was Halsey that said the final line, not The Arbiter. Like, I get it for story reasons, but The Arbiter saying something to Chief instead would, in my opinion, been more effective.
If chief said something to Halsey or even had some extra cutscenes of them interacting chief Halsey and arbiter been probably the best cutscene in the whole game
Even with all of the redesigns that 343 did, Arbiter looks like a warrior king and I love it more than his original (but that’s just me) to Andromeda and back.

They’re a different race, kinda like Africans, Asians, philippine, ect. If you played all the halos reach, 1-3, 2 anniversary, and 4-5 you can tell subtle to obvious differences. Even in the halo legends there’s another race
@@陳潔明-w6y The reason Arbiter and the Swords of Sanghelios looked like the other race was because modelling an entirely new set of models for Elites would be incredibly time-consuming and resource-intensive. The Elites pretty much change their anatomy every game anyway, this was just the first time it's noticeable.

Chief, as Joe Staton said, was mainly a vessel for the player to experience the story. That still doesn't excuse that they cut what could have been an epic revelation just to hamfistedly advance the plot.
It would be interesting if 343 makes a dlc telling the story of Arbiter and his forces during the campaign of Halo Infinite, as a paralel story of the main game. Or, maybe a story after the campaign where Arbiter and his forces, or maybe a mixed UNSC-Swrods of Sanghelios group with arbiter in charge arrives to rescue chief and the remaining forces
There is concept art of halo infinite where the Arbiter appear with a fussion of the Halo 2 anniversary armor and the halo 5 armor and a red cape with the logo of the Sanghelios Swords in somekind of dessert and i would kill just to see that concept in a videogame

@@theshipmasterbanished3902 there were art style inconsistencies between the two, because Halo 2 cinematics were handled by outsource studio Blurr, and were meant to be consistent with the art style of Halo 2, while Halo 5 already was all knees deep within the new 343 art style and combining them would probably feel even more odd to an eye. 343 mishandled the art direction utterly with Halo 4 and 5, not because of the art style itself, but because of it's aggresive and not thought out implementation. If Chief for instance started with og Mark VI armor on Forward Unto Dawn, and later on got the new armor and were it more in the future when the UNSC had time to adapt new armor looks and generally new technologies, it would be much more acceptable, it would feel like evolution of what came before and not utter upside down of it just for the sake of having their own style.

Man they really squandered the story potential in this game. How did no one during the design process of the final cutscene go "Hey remember how people really like the idea of chief and arby being buddies? How about instead of being lazy and lame we actually give Arbiter some lines where he acknowledges that he is glad that one of his closest allies during the end of the Covenant war is actually alive?" Honestly the story would have been better if they just paid some deep lore fans to write the damn thing lol. The Chief VS Locke fight scene was also one of the game's biggest story blunders. Its like two potato sacks smacking each other around.
If you were actually a 'deep lore fan' you'd know Halsey deserved the moment more than Arbiter. An Arbiter / Chief reunion would have been incredibly surface-level fanservice. I would have liked an after-credits scene with them. This is the first time Chief and Halsey have seen each other since First Strike, Halsey thought he was dead most of that time. Also, Arbiter did have some lines where he acknowledged Chief and their partnership, but they were in-game lines rather than cutscenes. If you actually believe the sentiment of "343 are lazy, they should hire some REAL fans" then you're either an idiot or a child.

I want a Promethean squad to call in for heavy armor because a Tier 5 Graveborn, capable of inducing directed slipspace implosions is about to breach defenses of a safe area holding civilians that fled the swarms. Then, from the sky, a squad of armored grunt, IN GRUNT TANKS, fall right around it, laying into the bastard while one of the Prometheans takes the opportunity and links with an overhead UNSC satellite with a Heavy Disintegration Payload, and marks the target. I want squads of UNSC Marines in full, combat readied hazmat gear to trudge into an area clouded by Flood Fog, where Factures/Nightmares (Logic Plagued Prometheans, couldn't pick which name) are guarding an initial infestation point. Inside, they use Tracking Lasers to mark tragets for the Jackal Snipers around the perimeter, all armed with Type-50δ Beam Rifles. I want Hunters in cross-species, joint production Mjolnir armor (human, brute, elite, with engineers possibly offering assistance) being used for heavy tactical insertion against Proto-Gravemind instances, due to their immunity to the Flood. I want to see the armies of this Galaxy FINALLY bring an end to the Forerunners greatest sin.

I think they made the elites seem too...heavy, I always imagined them as strong, tall, and swift, kinda like a linebacker. Solid, but still fast and agile, but they bulked them up too much. I mean it's like you can feel how heavy and slow they are.
Heavy, yes, but not slow. I mean you have to imagine that they are basically a tower of muscle and sinew, it makes sense that they have some weight in their step.

I never really liked Halsey as a character but that final line of dialogue at the end from her put the nail in the coffin. She's like, "It took you long enough" and Chief is like "Yeah sorry for trying to track down and destroy the one thing that could put us all 6 feet under while also fighting through waves of Covenant and Prometheans"

Not really; Halsey definitely did have and deserved a more emotional connection with Chief. She's basically his mother and has known him for like 42 years at this point whereas the Arbiter has known Chief for a month tops. That said, the Arbiter 100% deserved more interactions with Chief.

the way Halsey refers to chief by simply name compared to Locke just being another solider is something I never really noticed. chief is more than just a machine or another soldier and well Halsey would know it best
Halsey selected chief personally. She was the one that promoted him to squad leader during the spartan training. He is her greatest success. Combined with cortana, he saved humanity with the assistance of the arbiter later on.
I mean she basically sees Spartan IVs as an insult to her Spartan Program, which it is. A random soldier with better equipment can never hold up with a Spartan II.
Seeing Spartans/humans and Sangheli fighting side by side is just amazing. Hatred at the start of the war turned into respect by the middle and then into friendship at the end

Elites still see Humans as their inferiors, since most Humans aren't warriors by elite standards. The only Humans they would respect are (some) Spartans since they are just as strong and capable fighters.

I'm going to say this, the Arbiter needs his very own game where he's is the main character. My idea is that it would be like a blend between the previous Halo Games and the 2018 God of War game along with a few things.
1. it would be an Open-World where you can travel to different planets, command armies/fleets and battle enemies such as the Flood and The Banished.
2. Like 2018 God of War, you can upgrade and customize with new armor sets and weapons throughout your journey.
3. You can play the Campaign in either Single or Co-Op like in the previous Halo Games.
4. You'll also be able to switch weapons from 1st Person/Shooter to 3rd Person/Melee.
Same with master chief

@@davidbarker3374 I mean it's not THAT ambitious of an idea. Most of it already exists in Halo Infinite, just add weapon/armor upgrades and more of an emphasis on AI allies.
Infinite already does the Open World formula well enough as a first attempt so it's not like, too much of a change except maybe more environments.
Spartans are the star of the show ultimately. It would however, be possible to have gameplay where you either play as master chief or the arbiter. Maybe have a half spartan and half elite campaign were both perspectives of the story are shown kinda like halo 2 OR you get to pick which race you want to pick at the start and you play an entire campaign as one of the two races.

Well, as far as i know Arbiter didn't appear in Halo Infinite, but maaybe a DLC including more content could make him show, maybe a Sword's of Sangheilos group/fleet arrives to Zeta Halo to rescue the remaining forces of the UNSC or something like that. Or better, in the next main Halo game have a co op campaing with arbiter as active character like Halo 3, or a Spin Off of Arbiter during the story of Infinite. I dunno there are a lot of options
While the Arbiter wasn't in Infinite, a few days ago a new book was announced to be coming out called Halo: Outcasts and it features the Arbiter and Olympia Vale from Fireteam Osiris going to the planet Netherop in search of an artifact that supposedly can help to defeat Cortana while an outside force manipulates them. I'm guessing that that's Nizat 'Kvarosee and I'm hoping that it FINALLY brings an end to his character.
What made the last cutscene annoying for me was that it was Halsey that said the final line, not The Arbiter. Like, I get it for story reasons, but The Arbiter saying something to Chief instead would, in my opinion, been more effective.
If chief said something to Halsey or even had some extra cutscenes of them interacting chief Halsey and arbiter been probably the best cutscene in the whole game

The Elites pretty much change their anatomy every game anyway, this was just the first time it's noticeable.

That still doesn't excuse that they cut what could have been an epic revelation just to hamfistedly advance the plot.

There is concept art of halo infinite where the Arbiter appear with a fussion of the Halo 2 anniversary armor and the halo 5 armor and a red cape with the logo of the Sanghelios Swords in somekind of dessert and i would kill just to see that concept in a videogame

@@theshipmasterbanished3902 there were art style inconsistencies between the two, because Halo 2 cinematics were handled by outsource studio Blurr, and were meant to be consistent with the art style of Halo 2, while Halo 5 already was all knees deep within the new 343 art style and combining them would probably feel even more odd to an eye. 343 mishandled the art direction utterly with Halo 4 and 5, not because of the art style itself, but because of it's aggresive and not thought out implementation. If Chief for instance started with og Mark VI armor on Forward Unto Dawn, and later on got the new armor and were it more in the future when the UNSC had time to adapt new armor looks and generally new technologies, it would be much more acceptable, it would feel like evolution of what came before and not utter upside down of it just for the sake of having their own style.

Man they really squandered the story potential in this game. How did no one during the design process of the final cutscene go "Hey remember how people really like the idea of chief and arby being buddies? How about instead of being lazy and lame we actually give Arbiter some lines where he acknowledges that he is glad that one of his closest allies during the end of the Covenant war is actually alive?"
Honestly the story would have been better if they just paid some deep lore fans to write the damn thing lol. The Chief VS Locke fight scene was also one of the game's biggest story blunders. Its like two potato sacks smacking each other around.
If you were actually a 'deep lore fan' you'd know Halsey deserved the moment more than Arbiter. An Arbiter / Chief reunion would have been incredibly surface-level fanservice. I would have liked an after-credits scene with them.
This is the first time Chief and Halsey have seen each other since First Strike, Halsey thought he was dead most of that time. Also, Arbiter did have some lines where he acknowledged Chief and their partnership, but they were in-game lines rather than cutscenes.

I want a squad of ODSTs with S7 'NORDFANG' Models to offer long range support to a brute pack, taking down larger scale bioforms and/or corrupted constructs to give the armored cheiftan and his brutes a clear path to the infested Wraith that's been cutting off access to a flood organism that's firing dispersal pods at nearby FOBs.
I want a Promethean squad to call in for heavy armor because a Tier 5 Graveborn, capable of inducing directed slipspace implosions is about to breach defenses of a safe area holding civilians that fled the swarms. Then, from the sky, a squad of armored grunt, IN GRUNT TANKS, fall right around it, laying into the bastard while one of the Prometheans takes the opportunity and links with an overhead UNSC satellite with a Heavy Disintegration Payload, and marks the target.
I want squads of UNSC Marines in full, combat readied hazmat gear to trudge into an area clouded by Flood Fog, where Factures/Nightmares (Logic Plagued Prometheans, couldn't pick which name) are guarding an initial infestation point. Inside, they use Tracking Lasers to mark tragets for the Jackal Snipers around the perimeter, all armed with Type-50δ Beam Rifles.
I want Hunters in cross-species, joint production Mjolnir armor (human, brute, elite, with engineers possibly offering assistance) being used for heavy tactical insertion against Proto-Gravemind instances, due to their immunity to the Flood.
I want to see the armies of this Galaxy FINALLY bring an end to the Forerunners greatest sin.

I think they made the elites seem too...heavy, I always imagined them as strong, tall, and swift, kinda like a linebacker. Solid, but still fast and agile, but they bulked them up too much. I mean it's like you can feel how heavy and slow they are.
Heavy, yes, but not slow. I mean you have to imagine that they are basically a tower of muscle and sinew, it makes sense that they have some weight in their step.
They certainly have weight, but they aren’t clumsy, stumbling fools who have to throw their weight forwards with each step. These fuckers can sprint up to 35mph.

I never really liked Halsey as a character but that final line of dialogue at the end from her put the nail in the coffin.
