@HiddenXperia, I can waste a whole day watching and listening to your content. I admire all the passion and dedication you put into it. Nice to see others who are as passionate about Halo as I am.
When you stop and think how 6 stood toe to toe with these guys and their units who were unto themselves extremely dangerous makes you wonder what could have been if he was a S2 instead of a S3.
The biggest difference is that S2 are more durable, their armor, and remain as deadly solo. S3 were created to be expendable. They worked best as a team and had less effective armor than the S2. For the most part, once a S3 squad loses a member is usually when they start to fall off. If I recall correctly, Kelly kicked a squad of S3's ass on Onyx even though they had cloaking. All she had to do was put one out of commission and the rest was just clean up.
@@moalex6617 you have to remember that the 3’s on onyx were freshly augmented 12 year olds wearing spi up against a fully grown spartan 2 wearing Mjolnir. They were set up to lose from the beginning. Sadly I don't think that's coming to fruition since nobody really knows about that Elite except the Halo community, and 343i traded off the Covenant Remnants for the Banished after another retconning of their story. Nothing for nothing, the series likely was never meant to bring in ideas like this.

It's interesting to think that the devoted zealots are easily one of the many cogs that brought the end of the covenant. They failed to destroy the autumn, which destroyed alpha halo, created a new arbiter, and created the Great Schism, allowing Humans and Sanghelli to work together during the battle of earth and Battle of Installation 00
This is by far my favorite lore of halo and favorite video of yours. It tells you so much on how the story of halo unfolds without those zealots, they likely would not have found the first halo
So let me get this straight: because Carter ordered Emile NOT to pursue the Field Marshal Zealot who ran away in the first mission, he ended up killing Kat, Emile, and inadvertently Six. So three members of the Noble Team died all because Carter didn't order Emile to kill the general? Holy crap Carter.
No, he prolonged Emile's life to the point he was able to make that critical difference at the end of the game by not ordering him to pursue. Spartans aren't power rangers, the player characters are literally the exceptions labeled "Hyper Lethal" and all sangheili, much less a Field Marshal, is much more powerful and capable than you think. Remember, the dude took sustained fire from how many Spartans in that ambush scene? And still just bodied his way past them. That Zealot lifted Emile with one arm, and Spartans weigh half a ton. Field Marshals don't get to their position for nothing, he may very well have been the Covenant's own Master Chief or Noble 6.
@@spikem5950 so basically you’re saying Emile’s risk of dying had Carter given the order was so high, that he wouldn't have been there to help save the Autumn? That makes sense, but I just find it humorous that one decision at the start of the game created a chain of events that led to everything going wrong.
So glad SOMEONE finally covered these Elites.... Most never understood why we had to kill the Red Zealot for the Achievement... Or that it was one of these Zealots that killed Kat
it's almost nostalgic watching these videos as I used to binge everything lore-related on this channel I'm glad to see Halo's universe *still* has lore to cover
I need an animated show in the vein of castlevania that shows the covenants rise to what they eventually became and how they got all those races under control
Next week the Fall of Reach begins in the TV series and I'm not sure do I want to even see Noble team in it 'cause how poorly they have handled the MC and entire universe already.
I thought Cortana discovered the location of Halo from a meteorite recovered during the Battle of Sigma Octanus IV by Blue Team? Unless Halsey compared that with the Forerunner Ship's navigation database to confirm there was something in the Soell system of great importance.
Goddamn, I love Spartan IIIs. Everyone is always singing the praises of the IIs and Chief, but if it weren't for all the IIIs then none of that would've mattered.
Great video! Like you said, a lot of this is hiddenx in plain sight, but you lay it all out and make it easy to understand, thank you! Reach is probably my least favorite bungie game, but I actually have a much better understanding of it and a new appreciation for it after this video. I still wish we were with chief and red team like in the OG book defending the orbital defense generators, enacting the cole protocol in orbit, etc.
That couldn't be the Fleet of Particular Justice at 10:20 since it didn't arrive until August 30th. The cutscene showing Noble 6 after his reentry from orbit shows the date as the 23rd. Love hearing about the Divine Sentries, they're definitely one of my favorite Covenant groups with how much lore they stuffed in for them.
I love it when obscure characters get in depth lore. They could have easily aid that these Zealots had no relation to eachother and that they were random encounters, but no. Every single one of them were from the same sect, and all hunting Noble team for a reason. Would love to see more of these aholes in future Halo games. I still need to get payback for Noble Six's death.
As a kid I always thought it was a Jackle that shot Kat and when I realized it was an elite, it sadned me a bit because they've always had the spotlight
Having Thel looking for their new leader and their base of operation in a future spinoff game would be just perfect...am I the only one who thinks that?
Rather late to the party, but it’s nice to see my favorite lore content creator address this. I also love how in the title, you alluded to Zika Zamamee, the Elite who secretly hunted Master Chief. Keep it up
I really want a canon fodder article about these guys, especially the Field Marshal. Give him a name, and some backstory or what have you, since hes basically the main villain of Reach if you think about it. Would be cool to have him be a little fleshed out.
This may be a controversial opinion, but I like the 343 zealot helmet more than the Bungie one. I think if they modified it a bit that it would look better than the Halo Infinite one.
The fact that the same field marshal elite from the first mission actually killed Kat and noble 6. Bro made this rumor a true lore about noble teams reconning.
Noble Six killed that field Marshal so he did avenge Noble teams death, but he was killed by a different Field Marshal when he got overwhelmed after hours of fighting
@@captaintristan1176 Yeah I don’t fault you, you have to know the lore on the dude before you even fight him to realize that it’s the guy, also Nah Arbiter couldn’t have been boots on the ground on Reach or else he wouldn’t have been able to chase the Pillar of Autumn
@@captaintristan1176 Six dies after the Pillar of Autumn leaves and Arbiter was chasing the Pillar of Autumn right from Reach, so the timeline of events just wouldn’t work out in favor of that theory Im afraid
I'd pay top dollar for a respectful, proper spinoff game starring an Elite faction that operated during the battle of Reach. Maybe have a pseudo-boss fight against Noble Team. Halo 2 and Wars 2's DLC dared to tell a story while playing as anti-human faction soldiers in the Covenant and the Banished. Playing as "the bad guys" and fighting humans would be refreshing.

Or that it was one of these Zealots that killed Kat
it's almost nostalgic watching these videos as I used to binge everything lore-related on this channel
I'm glad to see Halo's universe *still* has lore to cover
Remember Reach
wow, just knowing this small piece of hidden lore in reach, it makes nobles sacrifice that much more tragic; i salute thee noble team
Damn the elites from halo reach were the besttttt, so many different ranks and varients and even special ones that were unique throughout the game
A field marshall isnt able to kill the hyper lethal vector, but one mission later a wheezy boy with a sticky gets me 😅😂
That couldn't be the Fleet of Particular Justice at 10:20 since it didn't arrive until August 30th. The cutscene showing Noble 6 after his reentry from orbit shows the date as the 23rd. Love hearing about the Divine Sentries, they're definitely one of my favorite Covenant groups with how much lore they stuffed in for them.
I’m getting ready to do a halo campaign marathon for my birthday and I will be giving those zealots many extra teabags 🤙🏻
The Covenant obsessing over things reminds me of the Deceptions doing the same thing in Transformers Prime lol
You are so right! this lore was right there but now we have some new context haha I can't wait to replay Reach again knowing this.
As a kid I always thought it was a Jackle that shot Kat and when I realized it was an elite, it sadned me a bit because they've always had the spotlight
Love these types of Lore videos, especially about the events of Reach, which is my favourite. Keep it up Xperia. ❤
Having Thel looking for their new leader and their base of operation in a future spinoff game would be just perfect...am I the only one who thinks that?
Surely there is ties between the “Devoted Sentries” and Avu Med 'Telcam and the “Servants of the Abiding Truth”
I learned a lot from this video but I never realized the reason why cat got shot was from the radiation in the shields not being active
Why do I remember kat being killed by a grunt
Yooo, is this a mf ZUKA ZAMAMEE REFERENCE, BUNGIE?
Bro is going into deep lore lmao
I could have sworn you can see a jackal holding a needle rifle in the phantom in the cutscene where cat gets her haircut
This may be a controversial opinion, but I like the 343 zealot helmet more than the Bungie one. I think if they modified it a bit that it would look better than the Halo Infinite one.
Their devotion reminds me of the Black Templars from Warhammer 40k who took their faith in the God-emporer even further.
@@Antpoison Oh. It looked so similar to that one though. Then that leads to my other prediction. was noble 6 killed by thel vademi/The arbiter
@@Antpoison In some of the halo 2 terminals arbiter was in alot close combat battles.
@@captaintristan1176 Six dies after the Pillar of Autumn leaves and Arbiter was chasing the Pillar of Autumn right from Reach, so the timeline of events just wouldn’t work out in favor of that theory Im afraid
Really graet video.
I love that that you're still making halo lore videos and I hope you can make more like this👍
I love how the most replayed for so many videos is just the skip for sponsor segments.
Your excited and enthusiastic voice makes these so good
Elite assasinatons on spartans where the cheff kiss in this game
A video on all known “reclaimers” would be pretty neat. I wanted to know for myself but couldn’t find any videos on it.
quite cool, zealots are sadly deadly to all but the best of spartans
I'd pay top dollar for a respectful, proper spinoff game starring an Elite faction that operated during the battle of Reach. Maybe have a pseudo-boss fight against Noble Team.
Halo 2 and Wars 2's DLC dared to tell a story while playing as anti-human faction soldiers in the Covenant and the Banished. Playing as "the bad guys" and fighting humans would be refreshing.
The devs would need to get really creative to make Humans fun to fight from an FPS perspective tbh.
My favourite game ever thankyou for giving it such a different narrative
I find it badass how Noble-6 had a last stand against these guys for days. It took an entire covenant army to kill him too.
I missed this kinda videos so much
Fun fact the Elite with the sword in his left hand that appeared at the end of the cutscene is a Field Marshal.
"I don't even know who you are" -me when confronted by the field marshal
Can we get a lore update on Spartan Thorne and where do you think his whereabouts is?
Loved this nostalgia on a sunday
So, I had to wait for years just for to hear about some elites?
Well it was worth it
The real story of Reach. Crazy this hasn't been covered already. 13 years later. (Granted alot of it was added by 343) Great vid, keep slaying it!
sweet glad you talked about this one.
Holy crap, this video kicks ass! Nice to see the lore videos again, these type of videos are my fav (halo news are great too though)!
Great to see you back at lore vids
What's crazy about reach was that UNSC thought it could never fall
